    I love that you can go to Barker's and get all of the pool help that I need! Their are very knowledgeable and helpful!

    Years ago when I owned my first pool my experience w POF was everytime I got a water test-l from…read morePOF - they would insist I needed $50-$200 of pool chemicals AND do a drain/refill on my pool then add ALL the chemicals back in. WHAT A SCAM. First of all, most of the people behind the counter have little experience with pool chemistry - or chemistry in general. I just went there to verify the numbers I got. Today, more than 19 years after I quit using Pools of Fun, I decided to give them another chance . OMG- it was like Groundhog Day- the two Dufusses on duty told me I had to drain 1/2 of my 25,000 pool and that I needed 28 gallons of chlorine and 15lbs of soda ash which was going to cost roughly $125. Oh, and they charged me $10 for the water test, after they found out I wasn't buying their garbage. I resolved it myself w 3 gals of chlorine and 1 4lb. Box of Borax from the grocery store. Total $18.00. What a waste of time.

I trust my friend's opinion so I gave Tim, the owner, a call. Tim was more than helpful! He gave me his honest opinion, suggestions on where to go to research various grills so that I could make an educated choice. He took his personal time to make sure all of my questions were answered. He had a grill at his Plainfield store. I walked in the door (an hour before they closed for the Christmas holiday) and was greeted by a very friendly and super helpful guy named Sam. Tim had called and told Sam that I would be coming to the store. Sam took his time to explain and compare grills, answered my questions and gave me his honest opinion about the grills. This was a big expense for me and I wanted to be sure it was a quality product that my husband would be happy with for years to come. Once I made a confident decision, (with Sam's help) he carefully loaded the grill into my car so that it would be safe and not shift in transit. The grill did not budge in transit. It is a rarity that you find such friendly, competent customer service! I live closer to the Fisher's store. Sam stated that I could call him for any questions and that accessories for the grill are sold at the Fisher's location as well. If you need grills, or any other outdoor/patio/pool supplies, this is the place to go. I couldn't be more pleased with my purchase or the fantastic service I received!! I was actually at the Brownsburg store. Sorry I posted at the wrong location. Also, I logged into Yelp through FB and this is me, my picture, but I don't live in California. I live in Indiana.

I needed to get closing supplies. What's your excuse for closing 40 minutes early? It wasn't a power outage because the other businesses were open. I'm convinced some lazy employee just wanted to go home early. You've lost me as a customer. I'm done.

    On 7/17/20, a customer entered the Beachway store in Indianapolis, IN and was physically assaulted…read morein an altercation with one of the employees. The employee called the police on the customer, who is Black, for entirely specious reasons that the police found unwarranted and unjustified. The employee yelled at the customer, accusing her of attempting to exchange her pool supplies and questioned whether the customer earned enough money to have a pool. The employee didn't even bother to look up the sales receipt on file, which would have proved that the customer had in fact purchased the items. All the customer was trying to do was to exchange what she purchased for what would fit her pool's cleaning/filtration system. The employee actions were completely inappropriate throughout the interaction with the customer, and escalated the encounter through, including physical contact and assault. The police came, agreed the customer that she had done nothing wrong, and that the employee was responsible for the escalation. The manager came in, reviewed the recorded interaction but took no actions. The customer is deeply shaken up by the encounter. The store has done nothing about what happened. The employee needs to be held accountable for her behavior and actions, which were out of control and reckless. This is worse than terrible customer service. The employee created a racist and discriminatory environment in her treatment of this customer in comparison with other customers in the store who were white. Persons of color aren't welcome at this store, nor will they be treated fairly.

    Awful Service, Takes Money and Runs, VERY Expensive…read more Service crew has no idea what the hell they are doing and do not stand behind their work at ALL! Had already replaced something on the hot tub that didn't even need replaced and broke part of that in the end. Terrible!! Quoted me ~$500.00 to repair/replace a piece of equipment to a hot tub that I ended up fixing myself with no knowledge of hot tubs for less the $75.00...Poor communication, poor service, and awful care of its customers. Avoid using this company if you can!!!

    Caution!!! When using these guys. Earlier this year I had to order a new pump in which they…read moreinstalled. The pump was fine, it ran with no issues and I was happy with their service. I decided to use their services to close down my pool this year, and this has caused me a huge headache. My pool has a dial timer in which there are two screw-on pegs that turn the pump on and off. Just under the dial is the on/off switch that those pegs interact with. The technician manually turned that on/off switch to the off position instead of the breaker that is on the same panel. Since he turned the wrong switch off, the 8am setting turned the pump on after it was winterized. The next day around 2pm I walked outside to see my roughly two month old pump smoking. I called Splash and was informed that the tech had to turn the unit off to winterize the lines. It felt as if I were being accused of turning on the pump after it was closed. She explained that this was out of her hands and she would have someone call us back. Later that day a man called and said basically the same thing.
