Upon walking into this store you're immersed in a dog's dream - rows of handmade felted toys resembling various types of foods, in all different sizes. The Just Food For Dogs location on Christopher Street is an absolute treasure for this pet parent. My puppy used to be the pickiest eater on earth and suffered from allergies. The Veterinarian, wanted me to stick to Royal Canine dry kibble and wet canned food. Not a fan of the food. The allergies persisted. Took my puppy off the wet canned puppy food. Emrik at this West Village store, took the time to listen to all of our issues. They walked me through the different human-grade recipes and recommended the Fish & Sweet Potato diet which is great for allergies, sensitive stomachs, and puppies can have this. The transformation has been nothing short of amazing. Mealtime is no longer a battle of wills; Both of my boys practically tap dance when the bowl goes down and licks it clean every single time! Both coats are healthy, shiny, and my 16 yr olds energy levels are up. Best of all, the puppy's itching is completely gone. The store itself is bright, clean, and smells wonderful. The staff is genuinely caring, knowledgeable, and always happy to see the pups who come in. When my puppy comes in thirsty the staff gives both of them fresh water.
