I was told they close at 4:00 PM and to keep an eye on my messages for pickup. At 3:45 PM, I received a text stating my dog would not be ready until 4:45 PM -- after closing time. A five-hour grooming appointment has never been my experience in owning multiple dogs, and the delay was never properly communicated in advance. I also received an automated "thank you for visiting" email while my dog was still there, which added to the confusion. When I arrived at 4:40 PM, I asked about the extended grooming time. The response was that they "don't want to push any dog," which I understand, but again, that was never communicated earlier. Instead of addressing the concern professionally, the owner was dismissive and condescending. He stated he didn't care about the customer, became defensive, and did not acknowledge or apologize for the lack of communication. Rather than working toward a resolution, he suggested I return to my previous groomer. I replied that I would rather make the two-hour drive to Skiptown in Charlotte than return here, even though this business is local. His response was sarcastic and continued the unprofessional tone. At that point, I simply wanted to pick up my dog and leave. Since then, I've spoken with others who have shared similar concerns regarding overbooking and poor customer service. I hope the business improves its communication and customer service practices in the future.

We had very specific requirements for our girls due to age and personalities, the staff did not blink an eye. They said no problem and it wasn't. Our girls were happy there, well cared for,and attended too. These last kennel we used they came home dehydrated. The property is well made use of, exercise areas, play areas for different sized animals. The sleeping areas are clean, temperature regulated, and roomy. Robin is an efficient and organized business woman with whom my husband and myself felt very comfortable leaving our special girls there. We had a full tour and the new plans were explained. We do not kennel the dogs often so when we do I want to be able to have fun and know the girls will be fine. We were referred to this kennel and everything promised was delivered. We were then turned down at the door and they would not groom our dog due to the new policy. This is something we wish would have been known prior to the appointment or listed in the confirmation email on any changes made. I sent an email explaining our experience and never received a reply. We have been going to Pet Resort for years and it's sad for our small town.
