We've been taking our dog here for a couple years now and have had all positive experiences until our most recent appointment. We are very specific with how our dog gets trimmed and it's never been a problem before. When we dropped him off, we went over the details and thought it would be another regular visit. We got a text letting us now our dog was ready and we paid and tipped before seeing him... all because that's what Plush Spa requests. Big red flag looking back. We get there and realize they've done the complete opposite of what we've asked for. He's got long hair where we asked for it short and short hair where we have never once asked for it to be cut back. We are baffled. It looks like a child found scissors and the dog was the unfortunate target. When we tried to address our concerns with the owner, she became defensive and refused to admit any wrongdoing. Basically, finding any excuse to blame us. She wouldn't even give us the tip back, let alone a refund. We will never return here and look forward to warning others.

My dog King was so happy that after two weeks of being away at the Kennel, he did not want to return home with me.. King fell in love! When it was time for me to pick up my pups, I got to Lafayette Kennels super late because of delayed flights. It was around 11pm and I was supposed to pick them up at 6. However, Christine was playing with them calmly until I got there. I could not have asked for a better experience. Can't wait to go back!

Our regular kennels back home were all booked up so we needed to take them with us but board them close to the Fairgrounds. Christine made us feel very comfortable with boarding them there. She was thorough with all the food, meds, personality and health issues. The kennels smelled clean and looked it too. Our schedule was unpredictable but she was very flexible with us. She was just as organized when we picked them back up. Our dogs were happy and freshly bathed when we returned for them. We felt it was a good value and gave us piece of mind. While I could have probably found a hotel that would allow small dogs, I of course wanted to stay where the reception was being held. My best friend also has a dog, and she wanted to board him as well during the big night. She told me she had heard about this new doggie motel that had just opened. Since I live in D.C., obviously I had to make reservations sight unseen, but they were really friendly over the phone and told me all about the place. I do have to say I've never boarded my dog before (or since), but this is because she's my travel buddy. However, this is partly because it's so hard to find a place that I can afford, but don't feel like I'm leaving my baby in 1) an unattended prison cell or 2) in an open boarding situation where she'd be terrified.. At wags each of the dogs get their own room the size of a walk-in closet. My dog's room had a twin bed in it for her to sleep on, and plenty of floor space. I had the option for the dogs to share a room, but instead we put them next to each other since my dog likes people more than other dogs. When I went to pick them up, the owner gave me the report, and told me that my dog spent hours cuddling with the owners on their indoor hammock. That says it all to me - this isn't a place where dogs get 2-3 15 minute walks/interaction with people per day. No charge for playtime here. These people really love dogs, and I would not hesitate to bring my dog back here. Too bad it's 400 miles away.

The owners are warm and friendly and very accommodating as they got our baby in at the last minute when the previous dog reservation fell through. The kennel was clean and neat and process is very organized. Animals are picked up and dropped off at appointed times which is great. My dog came out clean and happy but ready to go home. They also provided very personalized touches.. When I picked my baby I was given a framed photo of her stay, report card and a tote bag with her food and medication that I had left with them. This truly is a gem for pets. I will be back

Only thing I wasn't a huge fan of was how they trimmed my corgis butt, but that is mainly a personal preference. Their nails were trimmed nicely and evenly. They even got little ties to finish off their looks! I'll definitely be going again!
