Great beer, atmosphere and service. The beer list is long and has some really flavorful beers and seltzers. Saturday nights are quiet and peaceful, but the people and conversation were fun and friendly. They also have some adorable cats roaming the property.

Was looking for a new brewery to try and found this one on Yelp. The beers were really good and had a good variety. Loved the Tripel, dubbel and the BLK Matters stout. The server was very nice and it was her first day and did a great job. I took one star off due to the outside area. The pallets chairs are unique but not very comfortable and I grabbed a plastic Adirondack chair which was not sturdy and the back was bending. The out door area just need a good clean up and redesign to make it more appealing and comfortable but again the beers are super good! Heads up Google too me down a short dirt road that was not passable unless you have a high clearance truck. I backed up and continued on Marshall for a short distance to the next street and got there easily.

Up the scenic drive of Marshal Road, located on an old rock quarry that was once used to provide crushed rock for the backroads of many, sits the BarmHaus brewery. Seating is all outdoors on strategically assembled pallets. Some of which surround wood burning fire pits for those cold days. There is lots of open space for gatherings and is pet friendly so I would recommend bringing some portable seating just in case. The Pilsner is one of my favorites but be sure to try the Los Dos which is a German style dark lager that you would think it would be heavy bodied but is not. Music accents the relaxing atmosphere.

Stopped by for a drink after cutting down our Christmas tree nearby. It is important to note before stopping by that this brewery is open to the elements so whatever the weather is you will be in it. We happened to stop by right after it had snowed in the area, so it was pretty freezing. There was heaters and a fire outside but there was a breeze whipping through making it uncomfortable. The taproom is inside where they brew tucked into a corner of the warehouse. I think we would have had a little more fun had we not visited during such a cold time or had not already been so cold from getting our tree. But the beer was delicious! We did a sampler of a couple different beers and I loved them! My favorite was their german sour- Berliner Weisse Mango. Just the right amount of tart and sweet that I was not puckering my lips. I ended up taking a few home to give to my boss for Christmas.

Great vibe here! This brewery was on some land with plenty of seating. At the time I went there were doing some clean up after big storms but it was still a great experience. They had a fire going and welcomed us to walk down by a small lake that they have. Corn hole and darts were available to play. The staff was extremely friendly and knowledgable about all the beers offered. They were also not a bad price. I liked the wheat beer so much, I had to buy a pack before leaving! read more

This place is tight. Built in what seems like an old rock quarry at the top of a mountain. Mostly outside with shade cover. tons of activities and games. Oh yah the beer is good too. read more

This place is a trip. Basically a barn placed in what looks like a closed rock quarry, but set up as a brewery and beer garden. The service was warm, welcoming and open to answering questions about the place and the beer. Beer was very good and the selection was varied. Food available that day was pizza only. There was also a food truck on site, but it was not open. Pizza was very tasty. Lots of games and space to chill and hang out with friends. Overall a great experience, but it is definitely a destination location off the beaten path. read more

One of the most middle of nowhere breweries I've experienced. Reminds me of the hard to reach Brewing Lair further north on the east side of Sierra as far a far flung. Very good European style beers. Their black lager and Pilsner were quite nice. I'm sure this spot is popular during river rafting season. Visited in early spring and was one of a few there. Friendly staff and large space around brewery for outdoor seating or other activities while enjoying quality brews. Definitely not an IPA stop which is nice to have other options versus so many IPA centric places. read more

Excellent beer! Nice beer garden area for tasting. The misters were appreciated on a 100 degree day for sure! We also spent the night on the property as a part of the Harvest Host program; there was lots of room and a nice flat parking spot. read more

Have you ever been camping or been to the mountains in a rustic town or a town with less than 100 people? This place has a cozy feel of all of those places. between the good ale the live music the makeshift farmers market and the small playground for kids this place is perfect for everyone. Tucked away off of Highway 49, One can enjoy a glass of ale, listen to classic rock music outdoors while enjoying the landscape. There are no Uber drivers for this area however one can take Lyft or El Dorado Taxi. this is a great place to go with friends and even children. There are limited options for lunch but you definitely won't go hungry and lots of snacks are available for purchase or you can bring your own. I do recommend bringing your own lawn chairs because seating is limited and usually consist of homemade wood chairs that are actually logs just gathered from the forest nearby. read more

Hidden gem! Road less traveled for sure! Off the hook Belgian style beers from light to dark, well balanced and beautifully crafted treasures. I love their white IPA which to me screams symmetry. Their beers of hops malts taste profiles are perfectly married into a nice glass which they pour into. It's an open land which once used to be a rock quarry, a pond way yonder, comfy seats made from pallets (creative), you can cool yourself down by over head spritzer/mist on a hot day, be silly with corn holes and there is an area for kids to play, super clean bathroom always with fresh floral arrangements, unpretentious and down to earth owners and staff... we love them. Craft Beer? There are many! Too many to count but I must say BarmHaus is just that. read more

We discovered this little hidden gem of a brewery while camping in the area. Good selection of beers. They were also having a craft fair/farmers market complete with a small food vendor. Everyone was very friendly. Live music too. read more

Ok....a rough dirt & gravel uphill road to say the least to get to their brewery & taste room. 4x4 no problem but probably necessary in winter. The surrounding outside aesthetics is drab, unappealing and similar to looking at a rock quarry. The outside sitting area is spacious, clean, dog friendly and lighted, suitable for good weather days only. Very clean bathroom. And their tasting area (not room) consists of a 8x3 walkway path to restroom with the kegs & fermentation tanks on one side and the cashier/pour counter on the other. This all may sound bad but the beer was REALLY GOOD! We took home a variety 4 pack because we didn't have time to stay long. This place needs some serious design updates, landscaping to enhance the natural beauty that surrounds this area, an additional building for a more room for tasting year round & marketing. But I have faith, let's get the word out on how good the beer is and help them grow. read more

Great beers served by the friendliest owners like Pati. Predominantly Belgian, a full range from pale, blond to brown, dubble and tripel, and until it's gone I love the German Weissbier. Bring a snack if you want, no food on site at this point. Tricky to find, second drive up the hill right after turning on to Mt Murphy off Marshall Grade. read more

Such a great place to hang out. I don't drink much, but my husband does and its a family friendly place to go. They even have a farmers market on Sundays. The owner is nice and the beer is great too. My husband buys kegs from them and I enjoy their tutti frutti even though I don't really drink alcohol. Great place all around. read more

There are a lot of breweries in El Dorado county to pick from AND they are all great. Stash is hands down my favorite. Their beer is unique and fun. You should definitely try a flight and to find your favorite, then enjoy a full pour.The owners are super friendly and have created a fun atmosphere to enjoy their beers. read more

Decided to try a new brewery yesterday and take a drive. Almost missed it, as it is tucked away. Glad we found it, though. With so many breweries focusing on IPAs, this was a welcome change. I wasn't sure whether I liked Belgian style beers, but I think I have found some new favorites. I liked that their descriptions showed how it would pair with foods. The patio area was nice. The seating made of pallets was inventive. read more

We craft our beers following monastic traditional methods that have been used for hundreds of years in Europe. There was a pre-built tent frame that we were able to pitch our tent under, which was spacious and really helpful for shade. The ground was decomposed granite, which made it tough to get tent stakes in. Grass would've been nicer, less dusty and more comfortable, but we made it work. The site had water and electric hookups, which was a nice surprise for a tent spot, and the restrooms were super clean and close by. The river was beautiful. We went swimming, it was shallow but fast-moving, which the kids absolutely loved. We also saw a bunch of people tubing down the river, which looked like a blast. There's a small general store on-site that opens at 9am, basic supplies, drinks, firewood, etc. Super convenient. All in all, a lovely campground. Despite the dusty ground, we'd definitely go back again.

The ironic thing is, is the 2015 vintage is the year they show on their website for the lower price... that did not make us feel good. They have a lot of wine options, but most of their wines are in the $30 range.
