Veal chop

Went last night to celebrate my birthday. We were 12 people. The service, food and atmosphere was amazing. The staff went out of their way to make sure that I was having a wonderful time. For appetizers we ordered the steak tartare, the puréed ricotta, the tacos and roasted cauliflower. The steak tartare was the best I've ever had! I had creamy artichoke soup. Never tasted anything like it. For some of the mains we had ravioli filled with spinach, duck, veal chop steak fillets, and pasta. For dessert they made me a beautiful chocolate cake. We had several cocktails. Two of which were the Shooting Star (yummy) and Smokey whiskey. Everyone thought the food was excellent and everyone had a wonderful time! Thank you to the wonderful staff and amazing chef. This is definitely a five star + restaurant.

So this place is okay. Came here for a team dinner while in NYC and checked out the menu and thought "this place looks expensive." And it was. Now I get New York is hyper inflated for everything so I did take that into account but still, 87 bucks for a dry ribeye? Service was pretty good. They took care of me and making sure my water was filled up all the time. This is a kosher restaurant, so there are no dairy desserts, or park of any kind. Know that going in, and assume most people do know this before they go. But wanted to mention it anyway, just in case. So the appetizers were good. The beef ribs fell off the bone, the other ones we had were also tasty. My only complaint is they over fire somemof their things. I don't like the bitter burned flavor of veggies. Some do, but this is my review. Hah So if I had the opportunity to eat here again? I would, but only if it was paid by someone else. Too expensive for what I got IMHO.

I greatly enjoyed the cauliflower appetizer and my mom really liked her fish of the day (red snapper) with risotto. The portions were large and the food well flavored. The desserts looked delicious but who has room! There were 6 birthdays while we dined - so is clearly a popular choice for special occasions. Very wheelchair/mobility device accessible including the bathrooms! All on one floor and lots of space. The service left a little to be desired with respect to checking in and bumping chairs so I deducted one star.

We had our holiday dinner there recently and enjoyed our experience. They definitely exceeded my expectations. We ordered a bunch of things to share: Polenta fries - honestly underwhelming. Needed seasoning Roasted veggies, Mixed fried potatoes, Hamachi crudo, beef ribs, grilled veal chop - good Short rib gnocchi - excellent, fave dish of the dinner Desserts: apple crisp, carrot cake - meh Profiterole - good The chocolate dessert with a name I don't remember cuz I can't pronounce lol was excellent Service was pretty good. Overall a good option for Kosher food.

The service here is always great! Ive tried so maby things on the menu and always find they are consistent and good. My favorites: tuna tower, polenta fries, brussel sprouts, delmonico steak, shortrib. The truth is you can't go wrong. The desserts are okay. The bartender is excellent definetly reccomend having a drink! It's always packed and the ambiance is great with nice staff and good music. One of my top steak house choices in the city.

The service was the best part of our experience. Oscar was fantastic. The decor is just ok and the food was delicious.

I was so looking forward to this meal. I had a great meal in February and wanted to share the experience with my spouse. The February meal was calm, flavorful and for lack of a better word, adult. This meal was loud (large groups, lots of happy birthday songs, pulsing music), not feeling serene or adult. The main course was far too salty. The prices for some elements seems disproportionate to the item ($7 for a cup of tea, $24 for dessert). Maybe it was an off night.

9/19/21 The ambience is beautiful and classy. The bar is lovely with appetizing craft cocktails and accoutrements. Shortly after arrival we we are seated at our reserved table. Lovely banquettes in the periphery tables and chairs in the center. The decor was beautiful. I started with a handcrafted cocktail: "La Violette": muddled blueberries, vanilla syrup, tequila, and other tasty ingredients. Served with a long single rectangular ice cube and a reusable straw with fresh blueberries and flowers as garnish. The drink was beautiful to look at and very tasty. After perusing the menu we ordered some appetizers for the table: crispy artichokes, brussels sprouts, short rib tacos, soup of the day (split pea.) Each appetizer was beautifully presented and unique. All were very flavorful. I did not try the pea soup but my family members loved it. After one bite of the taco the server came by immediately to apologize. They had served us the fish taco accidentally. I appreciate that they came over right away instead of waiting for us to say something. She brought us the short rib tacos quickly. She also left us the fish tacos since we had already started, not knowing... The short rib tacos were absolutely fabulous. The meat melts in your mouth, had a lovely smoky flavor and the shredded cabbage and sauce accompanied it perfectly. The fish tacos were OK but I'm glad that we ordered the short rib tacos because they were far superior. But they were finished also. For our entrées I chose the fish of the day: black Seabass served with toasted slivered almonds, braised grape tomatoes, sautéed spinach, broccolini. The skin of the fish was crispy, the meat was flavorful. I enjoyed every bite. My brother had the Château the beouf steak. My sister-in-law tried the salmon. When she was dissatisfied with her dish they immediately offered her something else instead. She chose the brick chicken. That was absolutely fabulous. Crispy skin, moist juicy marinated flavorful chicken over fresh bright pesto. Perfect in every way. For dessert we shared the bread pudding and the lemon cannoli. My family loved the bread pudding but my preference was for the lemon cannoli. Fresh, bright, beautiful and very tasty. A perfect ending to a perfect meal. The service was really excellent. We also enjoyed the open kitchen. Josh, the chef, came by to personally check on everything and listen to feedback. The entire evening was a wonderful experience. Looking forward to coming back here and trying out whatever project is next for Chef Josh.

As I walked in and saw just how swanky this place is I panicked - there was no way we could just walk in here without a reservation, right? But the hostess was, thankfully, so down to earth. I was straight up like hey I totally messed up and thought we could just walk in here, she was like you know what, let me see what we have. Lo and behold, she did have a table for us - as long as we were out in an hour and a half, which was just the right amount of time. Stepping into this place feels like you're in some secret, super special cocktail club. Decor is super high end, vibes are upscale AF. The cocktail menu is incredible -- and incredibly pricey, but truly worth it. I ordered the Valentino which was strong and sweet, really well made. They gave out a complimentary nut mix that was also delicious. Service was swift and gracious. If you're looking for a spot to impress a date, this is it.

There's also seating on the second floor, perfect for couples or small groups. I tried two of their cocktails when I went. The first was the Eastern Julep, a delicious twist on a classic. The mint Moroccan tea gave the drink a cool, refreshing taste on every sip. I also tried the Silver Screen, the closest drink I could find to an old fashioned. It was interesting, there was definitely a hint of a buttery taste. Overall a really balanced bourbon drink. I walked in and found room at the standing tables. A bar seat eventually opened up but I was already on my second drink by then. Definitely make reservations if you're planning a visit!

The bar seating was plentiful and comfortable. There is plenty of space for people to stand behind the bar or a high top tables enjoying happy hour after work. If you go at 4:30 or 5, it's a bit calmer as the after work crowd trickles in. And as the evening went on, it started to get more and more packed, and it became a really lively vibe. After my friend left for another function, I stuck around a little bit longer for a little solo dinner. I had a glass of Prosecco off the happy hour menu followed by a dirty martini, and I did request to look at their full dinner menu because there was a couple items that I wanted to try. I wanted to try the duck Ragu and halloumi cheese, both of which were absolutely fantastic. The halloumi cheese was perfectly grilled and flavorful, and the duck Ragu was very comforting. I highly recommend both dishes. I ended up chatting with a woman sitting next to me who happened to work with select apertivo, and next thing I know one of the bartenders handed me a lovely bright cocktail to try on the house. It was a refreshing bubbly Barlume spritz that I'll definitely have to get again next time. Overall, I had a really great time at Barlume. The service was excellent from the servers and the bartenders, and they were all very attentive, personable and friendly throughout the evening. I'll definitely be back for happy hour or dinner with friends!

It's been a minute since we'd dined out (life on the other side of having a kid has been DIFFERENT…read morey'all) so we decided to go check Barlume out. Did you know this is where the Beecher's used to be?! RIP, I miss their Mac n cheese.... the vibe is completely different now (think extravagant Mediterranean vibes, it's very instagram-mable with the beautiful bar area). I had made a reservation for 5:30 (again, life with a baby is very different)- we arrived early but the staff were very gracious and were able to get us seated. They seated us in a side alcove area where they had cushioned seating, which was very helpful. What we Ordered: Drinks: Barlume Spritz and Hibiscus Mule (N/A cocktail)- drinks were good, nothing too special but we appreciated the cute stirrers Appetizer: Halloumi- grilled halloumi with roasted eggplant puree. The saltiness of the halloumi went so well with the creaminess of the eggplant. (Baby liked the eggplant puree too hah) Entrees: Lobster Arrabiatta and Duck Ragu and Truffle Pizza. My husband got the lobster arrabiatta and was raving about how delicious it was. He said it was the perfect level of spice. My duck ragu was served with busiate (a corkscrew shaped pasta) which I thought 'trapped' the sauce perfectly so you get a nice saucy bite each time. Pasta was perfectly al dente- my one gripe is that I felt the duck ragu was a bit too salty, which even managed to overpower the tomato flavor. We shared the truffle pizza, which came topped off with stracciatella, porcini mushrooms and shaved truffles. I liked the porcini mushrooms on the pizza, this was a first for me. For dessert (which we had to gobble down quickly because baby was starting to get fussy) we got the pistachio cake. SAVE SPACE IN YOUR STOMACH FOR THIS ONE!!! This was my favorite in the whole meal, the kataifi gives it that wonderful crumbliness and it went soooo well with the mango sorbet that's served with it. Recommend for a nice dinner with friends or a cool place to grab drinks! 4.5 stars

We happened to be there watching Spain during the World Cup, so between the food, drinks, and cheering fans, it almost felt like we had been transported to Barcelona--minus the airfare. The service was friendly, relaxed, and refreshingly unhurried. We never felt rushed and were able to order at our own pace, which made the meal even more enjoyable. For the main course, the meatballs, chicken skewers, gambas al ajillo, and beef paella were all delicious. Honestly, every time a dish arrived, I thought, "Okay, this is my favorite," until the next one came out. The churros were the perfect ending--crispy, hot, and dangerously good when dipped into the thick, rich hot chocolate. They're the kind of dessert that makes you seriously consider ordering a second round... even when you're already full. Boqueria continues to be one of my favorite spots for great Spanish food, excellent happy hour, and a lively atmosphere. I'll definitely be back--and probably for those churros sooner than I should.

As soon as a better seat became available, they proactively offered to move me. That simple gesture spoke volumes about their awareness and commitment to guest experience.
