Barnes and Noble experiences should be pretty straight forward anywhere you go, being a chain retailer. However I can honestly say that every time I've gone in to this location, it's been fantastic. Always staff available to help out, clean and never crowded. The staff at the cafe has also been great. Today we got Matty and he made a recommendation on some drinks which were both spectacular (and pretty I might add!) I've never ran into any issues with books being out of stock so I give them a 10/10 for always having what I need. Especially during the holidays! My only knock is price of the franchise merchandise (Harry Potter, stranger things etc). Prices are pretty high for what they are ($35 for a journal) but understood because that stuff is popular. Overall, besides going to a mom/pop book store, this Barnes and noble is pretty solid and a place I can count on.

This location has been a mainstay of the Sunset Point Shopping Center at the southwest corner of Sunset Point and US 19 N in Clearwater. My sense of nostalgia is definitely turned up to HIGH when I walk in. In a time when most printed word is accessible over the internet, I find it comforting to paw over the volumes of books at Barnes & Noble. Surprisingly, they have a very interesting section of toys and crafts. It's great to see their wall of magazines and periodicals. They still have a large section for music CDs in the back. Overall, the shelves were tidy and the store was as clean as a whistle. There's a Starbucks inside this store and that seems to be hub of activity. If you haven't been by the store in a while, you should. I hope that Barnes & Noble can withstand the current move toward online literary content. The place still smell great inside!

This is only for the Cafe... Went in to get a Chai tea, my newest addiction. The husband was over at Tiger direct, so I popped in to get something cool and refreshing. The gentleman before me had a bit of a complicated (read large) food order, so I patiently waited my turn. When it came time, I stepped up, placed my order for my large iced chai, skin, no water, light ice. The barista made NO eye contact, didn't smile and basically looked as if she were being put upon. I get it. It's hard to make a drink that you pour out of two containers and don't even have to heat up. But a little friendliness goes a long way. *shrug* I've been a barista. I know the order could have been a lot worse. I could have ordered a double tall half calf mochalatte over ice, with double cream. But it was relatively simple. When dealing with the world, suck it up and smile.

I cannot come in here without spending less than $100 each time, because I am a self proclaimed book hoarder. LOL. I'm knocking a star off because I feel like when I whip out my current list of books I'm looking for, I struggle to find a good amount of them in stock here. Even some of the more popular titles are sometimes just not available, and I could order them online, but I really love leaving a store with a massive collection of new books same day :) this is still a great place to shop. Very clean, tidy and the staff is pretty nice as well.

Dianna B., I thought of you! Lol

Barnes and Noble is one of The last bookstores in the area. If you can't find what you're looking for The helpful associates will take care of ya! I mostly use my Kindle In this day and age. But sometimes I miss The feeling of turning a page. But I don't like to go to the library, Those books are gross and dirty But I'll spend hours in a bookstore Getting all sorts of nerdy! They've got magazines and journals. And hundreds of books of all kinds. Cooking, romance, self help, Adults coloring books to relax your mind! This location also houses a Starbucks So you can grab a coffee while you read. But more actual, physical bookstores Is what this world really needs!

You mean Yelp Elite, right? ;)

I love this B & N location. Seriously. It has a big, open floor plan (perfect for getting lost in) and plenty of store associates to help you find your next reading fix. They boast a generous discounted section which has a lot of quality titles for less than you'd expect. This is my favorite part of the store, and sometimes my husband has to drag me out of there or I won't leave. After you've purchased your literary treat, head over to the B & N Cafe. They have plenty of seating and the baristas are very friendly. They also serve Starbucks coffee, but they don't take Starbucks cards, so have your card or cash on hand. That being said, they make some quality drinks. It's worth not getting your Starbucks star, I promise. I know that chain stores are similar, but for me it's the vibe that makes them stand out. I feel really at home at this Barnes & Noble, and I'm happy to say it's my go-to for books and a cup of joe.

    Delicious sandwiches and paninis!

Great place, great location. The cafe has a lot of regulars who come to read or study so its like a little community where you see the same faces a lot, which is fun. Only negative comment I have is that the cafe only has one electrical outlet, literally one, not even two on one unit. So the regular bring power packs and extension cords to accommodate everyone using laptops and I've seen the management seriously come and pretty much kick people out for using it. One gentleman said he's written to corporate and sent photos but nothing was done. Its a little frustrating. Other than that the book selection is great, the coffee is great, nice selection of baked goods and paninis, friendly staff.

One of the last remaining book stores. I had a gift certificate and was nearby. Found a great book I wouldn't have gotten if i didn't go in.

The ambiance is beautiful, the service is always excellent, and the food is consistently delicious. They also have amazing coffee and a great drink selection. I was really disappointed by my experience recently because I had actually recommended this…read morerestaurant to the other guests with me, who had never been before. I ordered a bacon, egg, and cheese sandwich with an over-hard egg, while another guest ordered the same sandwich with an over-easy egg. When our food arrived, the over-easy sandwich was correct, but the sandwich placed in front of me had an over-medium egg with a runny yolk instead of the over-hard egg I specifically requested. I always make a point to clearly ask for a fully cooked egg because I cannot tolerate runny yolks. I politely called our waitress over and explained what had happened. I told her that the sandwich in front of me belonged to the other guest, and that the sandwich they had received appeared to have been intended as mine, except the egg was still runny and wasn't cooked over hard as ordered. Rather than listening to my concern, she responded in a very condescending manner and insisted the order was correct and that we simply needed to switch plates. I explained that switching plates would not solve the actual issue--the egg itself had not been cooked as ordered. She eventually took my sandwich back to have it remade, but after that interaction she rarely checked back on our table for the remainder of the meal and seemed to avoid us entirely. I never raised my voice or made a scene; I simply wanted the food I ordered prepared correctly. Mistakes happen in any restaurant, and I am completely understanding of that. What was most disappointing wasn't the kitchen error, it was the dismissive response to a reasonable request and the lack of service afterward. Since I had spoken so highly of this restaurant beforehand, it was embarrassing to have my guests experience this as their first visit.

There is also a coffee shop and some seating inside, which I did not partake in on this visit but it's a nice added touch! I also sold some books/media here and the process felt a bit unorganized, but I got a decent amount of cash for my items. Be prepared that it will take a few hours, even if you get there right at 10am, but you can leave and come back or stay and shop around. They also give both a cash option and a store credit option, with the store credit amount being slightly higher. Overall a nice feature in a great shop!

Definitely have everything a new collector might want but may not have the deep cuts a long-time collector (like me) would be looking to purchase. Prices - a tad high. But I expected that considering I'm in a metropolitan area. Their rent is probably super high, but I don't mind paying an extra $2-3 per book to keep an independent store open. Regarding those deep cuts: - I did find some authors that I think are often overlooked, including Richard K. Morgan, Chuck Tingle, and Ann Leckie. - I was saddened to see that there was no Ronald Malfi in stock, which I find to be a mainstay in horror. - There was no Between the Buried and Me vinyl in stock, which saddens me due to concert tonight (that's why I drove all the way to this coast).
