I loved Mojo Books and Records. The space was inviting and inclusive. It wasn't cluttered or messy. Since I was just browsing, the neatness of the space made for a peaceful browsing experience, which I loved. The vinyl prices were a bit higher than I'm used to compared to other shops I've visited but they had a great selection. They had a good bit of CDs, as well. The book selection was pretty good. I didn't get to spend as much time on that side but there was a lot to see and choose from. The bathroom was clean. The baristas were kind and checkout was seamless. I highly recommend spending some time here.

The shop had a unique, cozy vibe with a great mix of books and vinyl, making it a fun place to browse and explore.

This place is always vibes. They have a huge array of books, and I find crazy good deals here sometimes. I found a set of Harry Potter books for $15, and they also have a reward system punch card. The cafe is also very unique. I've had one of the lattes in the past, and I can appreciate their willingness to find unique flavors for their drinks. The record selection is also very nice with various bands and singers. I would recommend going here if you're a book lover!

Such a cool spot! A mix of a record store, bookstore, and cafe in one. I brought a 15 year old with me and she was in awe of the records because she'd never seen one before. We had a lot of fun perusing and I ended up buying myself a cappuccino and a book for her. Excited to come back to Mojo soon!

You never know what you find guarding a bookshelf at Mojo's. Meet Mr. Machine.

This bookstore and coffee shop is near USF and draws a hipster looking student and professor crowd, which made me miss similar hangouts from my distant youth. The decor and selection of books and vinyl records are eclectic. I can usually find something worthwhile here, and in the times I can't the coffee is delicious. I wish more of the places around campus were this cool.

shop local!!!!! shop small!!!! shop second hand!!!! can not stress this enough!! this place is super cute and has a big selections of books, movies, vinyls, and cds! my cousin showed me this place while visiting and it did not disappoint! they also have coffee and smoothies which are really good!! doesn't take too long for them to be ready and the price isn't too bad. you can browse around while you wait or they also have tables if you prefer to sit!!

Mojo has been a hidden gem in Tampa near the USF area for some years. I visit every so often to see what new or find a particular book or card decks. I recently visited since they've relocated next-door similar set up as before, but a little smaller. I am a J. R. R. Tolken fan so I decided to grab the hobbit within intentions to finish a book lol, wish me love . I love the movies and now reading the books. Great prices and you can always find something cool there.

UPDATE: I love the new location where they moved to. It's more spacious and inviting. I purchased a children's book, a brownie and 3 drinks today, the cashier was a bit passive aggressive despite me spending almost $40 and driving all the way from Riverview but maybe she was hangry or something (being positive). I tried their lavender white mocha latte with whole milk today but it just wasn't what I thought it would be. The flavors didn't mix well and it tasted like a white mocha/vanilla-ey latte with 0 floral hints. When I asked for a bit of lavender the barista was kind enough to give me some but it still didn't mix well with the white mocha flavor. My partners peppermint mocha stole the show fo-sho (lol sorry). The brownie was yummy, I tend to like thick fudgey brownies so if you do too then get it - it's shareable too.

I'd just been offered $120 by a local pawn shop and asked if Sound Exchange could do better. The clerk dismissed me immediately, stating, "We typically offer 50 cents to a dollar per Blu-ray," and refused to even glance at the organized digital catalog I offered to share (via CLZ) to save her time. Instead, she insisted I bring in the entire collection, clearly uninterested in helping or making an informed offer. Her attitude felt unwelcoming and uninterested -- like my time and business weren't worth the effort. Ironically, as I left, I saw one of my exact steelbook editions on their shelf priced at $89.99. They offer you pennies, then turn around and mark up massively. I rarely leave negative reviews, but this was one of the most dismissive and disappointing retail interactions I've had. It felt like they just didn't want my business. Based on my experience, I do not recommend Sound Exchange to anyone.

Basically they robbed me for $20. I will never buy from them ever again, and will let anyone know I can how they treat customers. It is awesome to see stores like this taking so much pride in preserving the physical media of the past. There is so much value in that and I for one truly appreciate this store. Also taking pride in this work are the staff. The pricing of a lot of the retro games is fair considering many of the games are no longer available and hard to come by. Retro games, especially ones that were popular back in the day, only grow in value as our nostalgic minds yearn to play our favorite childhood games again. Though I didn't end up buying any games (only because I was just in town for just a day or two), I did manage to play one of their Japanese coin machines. I am a HUGE Psyduck enthusiast and I saw one of their machines had a DANCING Psyduck toy in it! So, I got the appropriate coins from the cashier (they don't use regular coins). I only had enough for two items, so I did my first try and got a Wabbufet. Which is nice but it's NOT psyduck. I was nervous I wouldn't get my dancing duck but with hope in my heart and psyduck on my mind, I put my last coin in and turned the dial. After I heard the plastic ball capsule reach the dispense area I nervously reached for it. "Please be a dancing yellow duck" I said to myself... and I slowly opened the capsule and... A DANCING PSYDUCK WAS IN IT! I was so thrilled that I screamed lol it was so much fun and I just feel like this silly story does a great job at capturing the vibe of this location. Getting excited while connecting with our inner child. My inner child was healed a little more by the time I left Thanks to R U Game for the incredible service and the incredible experience. The dancing psyduck now sits safely on a shelf in my room where it routinely dances to Britney and Taylor songs lol
