Wow, there's a reason why this place is so popular even with food. We tried walking in on Friday at 1:30 and it was packed. We got reservations for Tuesday noon on the day of and it was much freer. The food is so good. I got grits without the cheese because of stomach issues, and it was still so flavorful. The omelette was fluffy, and my companions really enjoyed the club sandwich, but the steak sandwich less so. The potatoes and toast were good too along with sweet potato fries. The regular fries was apparently not as good. The french toast wasn't bad but had better elsewhere. I also got the ginger pear and it is very floral and flavorful. I'd get this again.
It was a two hour wait for dining, so we decided to get to go sandwiches with coffee and OMG were they delicious. Ambiance is country club vibe with a candlemaking bar in the front and a bookstore on the other side they also have a Tea!. We enjoyed our brunch.
Stopped by here with my girlfriend and some friends while on vacation from Virginia. Started out a little meh becuase we had a reservation and checked in with the hostess and was not called back for our reservation for 15 minutes after we went back up and asked. The food although was delicious! We got the whipped feta as an appetizer which was so simple but so amazing at the same time. I tried my first over affogato and now I can never taste espresso the same again. Simply amazing! I then got the breakfast tacos with potatoes. That was some of the best roasted potatoes I've ever had. The beautiful atmosphere also added to the experience significantly. Would I go back here while on vacation? Most definitely!
I am so happy I stumbled on this place for breakfast while in Tampa. I am a huge bibliophile so walking in and seeing a bookstore before going to the restaurant had me hooked. I loved exploring the shop before sitting down for breakfast. It has plenty of one of a kind gifts and a candle making class that goes on regularly. There is also a champagne bar while you wait for your table that has a huge selection. The restaurant its self is breathtaking. There is an atrium to sit in and a regular area. The menu has something for everyone and every dietary restriction. The food is perfect and fits the atmosphere perfectly. I cannot wait to come back during my next Tampa visit.

Everything I've tried over the years has been fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. It's one of those places that always leaves a great impression, whether it's your first visit or your tenth. I always enjoy bringing guests here, and I'll definitely be back again!
We stopped in here for lunch after being influenced by social media. It was such a cool experience. Absolutely stunning space with a candle pouring bar, shop, bookstore, champagne bar, coffee bar, tea bar, and restaurant. The restaurant had a long wait so we grabbed sandwiches at the coffee bar-- the chicken ciabatta and the egg sandwich-- both were delicious. Seating is tough in here so that part felt awkward. But we were eventually able to find something. The bookstore had a great selection of current fiction and nonfiction, as well as some backlist stuff. They also had a table of very cute editions of classics like Winnie the Pooh, Moby Dick, etc. The employees we encountered were really friendly, which I didn't expect in a space that felt so trendy. I have to subtract a star for the pricing-- it was bonkers. Like I said, we got food at the coffee bar, not the restaurant, but 2 sandwiches, 2 coffees, and a cup of milk were almost $70! I got a couple of books that cost $66 total, and my daughter wanted a cookie which cost another $10. You can absolutely get away with just a $10 coffee and set up somewhere to read or work and soak up the atmosphere. But otherwise be prepared to have to drop some $.
Oxford Exchange is such a beautiful building and place. I am from Miami and was recommended to come here and with some friends and we had a great time. Not only is the place a restaurant, but it's a store, coffee shop, candle-making shop, and an event space. There were so many different things to look at it and I love that the building has a historic feel. We did come in for brunch and everything was fantastic. The champagne bar drinks were delicious and so was the food. I got the breakfast chorizo tacos and as a table we shared the brussel sprouts and the lemon poppy seed pancakes were to die for! Service was lovely as well. An A+ for Oxford Exchange. When in Tampa, I hope to be back.
Every year since I moved to Tampa, my sister and I have celebrated our birthday at Oxford. Even before graduating college, when funds were tight, we continued to keep this tradition alive. As we've grown older, I've even attended a wedding at Oxford, and I always bring friends and family who are new to Tampa here. The ambiance, food, and atmosphere are the best, in my opinion! Oxford will always hold a special place in my heart.
Met here for brunch. Table of ladies. Oodles of food. We had one with a severe nut allergy and they did a good job of ensuring everything at our table had no nuts. Beverages were loved by all. Food was fantastic. Service was better.
After living in Tampa for 4 years, I finally tried Oxford exchange for brunch! Our group of 6 decided to spontaneously go to brunch on a Tuesday around 11 and luckily they had an opening for us! Parking is kinda tough, you gotta scour the street parking. Our server Nicholas was phenomenal - very attentive, quick to fill our drinks, and knowledge about the menu. As other reviews have said, one of the biggest appeals is the atmosphere inside. We sat in a huge atrium room with lots of light and plants. The bookstore and coffee shop is adorable too. For food, highly recommend the whipped feta - it's PHENOMENAL. The chopped salad was filling and delicious, loved the dates, sunflower seeds and avocado. Crispy chicken Caesar salad looked fire. Can't wait to come back to the more of the menu!
Mother's Day was a hit because of this place. We were lucky enough to get a reservation for Mother's Day and had an amazing time. The decor and ambience at this place are amazing. It is a classy well-maintained. Well run restaurant/bookstore/tea shop/store/candlemaking. I'm not gonna run down a list of the food items because there were five of us but all I can tell you is that there wasn't one meal on our table that wasn't amazing The gentleman who is our server was absolutely fantastic And I do recommend their carrot cake tea. It was out of this world.
What is Oxford exchange - restaurant, bookstore, coffeehouse, champagne bar, gift shop? All of the above to provide a wonderful experience for those close to Tampa. Wish they had a place like this where I lived. Updated but yet Old school European glam atmosphere. You walk-in and it's a book store on the left, and a counter where you buy scented candles or make your own candle. Next, you walk through the corridor and there is an area to sit after you purchase specialty teas, or coffee and pastries/small plates. If you didn't make a reservation at the restuarant, this coffee shop offers some great choices to give you the feel of this venue without skipping on the experience of both the food and atmosphere. The beautiful staircase is decorated with a wall of framed pictures of distinguished people. On the second floor are offices, but also chairs and tables where you can hang out reading, doing work, or just enjoying the space below. The restaurant entrance is at the back area next to the champagne bar. While waiting for your table you can browse in the boutique shopping for unique but very expensive items, or order a champagne. It seemed to me that this store sold many eclectic items from different parts of the world. It was enjoyable to look at even if you don't intend on buying. You maybe surprised to find something you never thought you would buy but interesting enough to consider a purchase. The food at the restaurant was slightly higher than the coffee bar, but reasonable for the venue. We ordered a muffin from the bakery, cappuccino from the coffee shop, and breakfast tacos. All were delicious. Service from the reception to the waiter and the bus staff was exceptional. Whenever I needed something else like hot sauces etc, it came within minutes. I preferred the garden area/courtyard of the restuarant and felt more elegant than the indoor cafeteria area near the kitchen. So remember to request for that room when making reservations.

I really enjoyed the atmosphere from when you first walk in there's a bookstore, candle pour (candle making), coffee bar, champagne bar, and a small boutique plus more in an upstairs part! The food was fresh, delicious, it didn't take long to prepare even with every table full of happy faces. I highly recommend for any type of event. Evermore, with brunch being until 5:30 pm.

You had me a brunch ! While in Tampa with a bunch of friends we stopped at the Oxford Exchange to eat before a day of shopping and exploring. I've been wanting to try this place and so glad we did . We waited over an hour to get seated. 4 adults and a high chair. Big noisy party of ladies sat next to us, we had to shout to talk to our own family. Asked to be moved, manager told us it would be another 30 min. Food came fast, waitress was good but atmosphere stunk. Oxford manager could have done better. We ate and were out in 45 min. Shaking the dust of our feet, won't be back. read more
This place is really cool. Part book store, candle store, restaurant, tea/ coffee shop , bakery and champagne bar. We had a reso on Father's Day and it was great early am and place was packed. We tried the cinnamon roll which was light and delish. We also had the burger and the whipped feta and I had the breakfast flatbread. The feta was so good and creamy. Flatbread was tasty and anything with whipped boursin is a hit. Our server was great and he really made great recommendations. Champagne cocktail delish and the assortment was great for pours. Consistently a great lunch option. A great place to bring visitors from out of town. I enjoy working from the coffee area during the day as well. Love their lavender matcha. Additionally, the chicken Caesar is one of the best salads I've ever had. read more

Oxford Exchange is one of those places I love to hit up whenever I'm in Tampa -- it's gorgeous and is one of those places that you know will be a hit with whoever you take there. In addition to the restaurant, they have a coffee and tea shop, a cute little boutique, book store, and candle-making shop there too. It really is a community space, and I love spending an afternoon there. Whether you've come for brunch, lunch, or a very early dinner (they close at 5:30p), they always hit. The only thing I didn't love was their Afternoon Tea. The scones were the best part of the tea tray; but I felt the desserts were a bit lackluster and the sandwiches were a hit or miss the day I tried the tea. Overall though, I will definitely continue to revisit Oxford Exchange when I'm in town and recommend it! read more
One of my favorite spots in Tampa! It has everything I love all in one. It's a restaurant, bookstore, store, and coffee shop. This is quite popular place especially on the weekends. I made a reservation and glad I did because the walk up list had a bit of a wait. There is street parking as well as paid parking in the lot across the street. When you first walk in you get the bookstore area. They do a bunch of events here as well. The candle making area is also a bar and is directing across from the bookstore. It's worth it check out the bathrooms. It's quite large and very nice in there. Next, is the open and airy space where the coffee and tea shop is. This area is a walk up counter and you don't need a reservation to stop in. The day I went it was quite full. I will add there is an upstairs to this location with a relatively new recording studio and coworking space. Next, is the store where there's a bunch that of hidden gems. The champagne bar is over here as well. My group went for brunch the day we went. I got the avocado toast and the brussel sprouts. As a fan of both, it didn't disappoint. And both were huge and fresh. The table split the ricotta and honey cheese and naan bread. The lemon blueberry pancakes were also a hit. I'm not a big fan on of cake in general but I heard the yellow cake was great. It was the perfect mixture of light and dense and the chocolate icing was to die for. It was the perfect compliment to the cake. There's so much to do here you could easily spend a good couple hours here. It's also a great spot to stop on your way to other fun activities in the area. I highly recommend getting reservations! I can't wait to go back and try some new stuff! read more
The Oxford Exchange is another unique venue in Tampa Bay. It exudes an energetic & youthful vibe. Think of an historical building with the base level containing a nice restaurant called Oxford Exchange, another store with great gifts, a coffee shop, a tea shop, a candle shop, & a fun bookstore. Upstairs are meeting rooms. The whole exchange gets a 5. My review though is focused on the restaurant. The interior was nice & clean & busy. I ordered a chicken burger. I was shocked at how good it was. It seemed like the kitchen had shredded some real chicken & then pressed it into a burger. So already it beats out the processed stuff you buy at the grocery store. It had avocado, feta & garlic, tomato, & seasonings. And it came with sweet potato fries. The fries were just average. For a fun outing, one should visit the whole exchange across the whole building. The energy in there exceeds the energy found in most places. read more

The brunch flatbread was amazing! The flavors were great. Crispy edges and very filling. The add on of sausage wasn't necessary and they weren't warm but tasted good. I also got a hot tea - pineapple match ginger. The tea was different and didn't stay hot but it tasted good. read more
This has have to be cutest brunch place I have ever experienced in any city in Florida. You can come here for brunch with friends or just to do some work. They have a coffee and pastries sections inside, and they also have a Champagne section, bookstore area, candle making section and of course your brunch area. I had been craving French toast for weeks so I ordered the French toast, and I must say they were amazing. I also had their coffee with oat milk which so yummy too. Don't come here unless you have a reservation! You are able to do a walk in but they do not quote you an actual wait time, it's all up in the air and hoping for the best. I think in total we ended up waiting close to 2 hours. This all happened on a Monday around 1pm, so I can't imagine what a weekend would be like. This all said, the food is good and the staff is all kind! The whole building is pretty, but the eating area itself is noisier than you'd expect. read more

Oxford exchange never misses with the food and vibes. The whipped feta? Chefs kiss! The steak sandwich? Amazing! We sat in the "atrium" section and it was beautiful however if you want to have a conversation then you have to really use your voice as it it pretty loud. If you don't want to do that, I recommend trying to sit inside the restaurant itself. Overall, this place hits every single time. read more
The Oxford exchange isn't just a store and restaurant. It's an actual experience. The store is really cool and extremely overpriced but cool nonetheless still worth it. As for the restaurant, the food is superb. It does get a noisy because there's so many people having conversation and apparently it's so open there's nothing really breaking up the noise but you know what don't care the food is that good the atmosphere is that good everything about it is amazing. There are tea and coffee shops right before you get to the restaurant. They also have a wonderful selection. The seating is nice. The overall ambience has a cool feel to it and I recommend anybody to make a reservation at the exchange. Get there a little bit early cause you gotta find parking which is hard, but it's just that worth it every time I go to Tampa, I always make it a priority to come to Oxford exchange read more

I LOVE taking friends from out of town here because it's just so aesthetically pleasing. There are so many great photo ops! The food is hit or miss, and I can say the same for their coffee. Though the staff is usually so friendly, it's very busy ALL THE TIME and I feel we're always waiting around. Even with reservations, we're never seated right away so sometimes I wonder what is even the point of making reservations if we have to wait so long for our table. Even waiting for our check takes forever. Despite the long waits, I still take my visitors there because of the fact of it being so darn cute! read more
Oxford Exchange never disappoints. First of all, the entire aesthetic is a 10/10. I wish this place was open when I was a student at UT because I would have been here every single day. I always start my visit here at the bookstore. They have so many signed books and the staff are always full of recommendations. We went yesterday for an early birthday celebration and although it was packed, we were seated at the time of our reservation. I ordered the lavendar latte off their spring menu and a glass of summer in the bottle rose. They had deviled eggs and a special eggs benedict for Easter weekend. I ended up ordering the steak sandwich with the spicy sweet potato fries. I have never gotten this before and it was amazing. They didn't have ranch but they did have a garlic aioli which was fire. read more

When you first walk in, you instantly feel a luxurious vibe. With all the cool factors in every corner. From a book store area, a candle making section, a tea bar and easily accessible cafe for casual dining. Then we were greeted by A Five Star host Austin! He was delightful and set the tone. He even checked on us during our meal and made sure we had an awesome table. Very thoughtful. Now let's talk Food! The brunch tower, no crumbs left. The grits I left the bowl spotless. The French toast the best I've had in Florida! Close to my favorite dining in NY. Now for coffee all great. The only suggestion I would make is to maybe revisit their take on an Affogato. It was basically an ice cream float. Would love it to resemble more of the original from Italy. I would definitely return every time I'm in Tampa! Overall 10/10 holistic experience. read more

Had an amazing early dinner before an author event at Oxford Exchange. Kids love the French toast and chicken bites. My favorite tea lattes are Salted Caramel and Matcha. The chicken sandwich was like an elevated Chick-fil-A sandwich. It's was cooked perfectly and had yummy pickles. The sweet potato fries had a salty seasoning that made for the perfect blend of sweet and salty. Ask for the garlic aioli, it's the perfect dipping sauce. read more

What would you say the dress code is?
There isn't a dress code but people are usually dressed smart casual
Do I need to make a reservation for a weekday tues/weds brunch or do you think there would only be a short wait.. What's better the atrium/patio (same thing?) or inside? I'm a planner :)
Yes I'd definitely make a reservation and I would highly recommend the patio
For Afternoon Tea on Sundays, do they provide sandwiches that aren't pork or meat? salmon/seafood/ veggie options is okay !
Is this a good spot to go study?
Not at all. Unless you can study in very loud environment
Is this place noisy?
It just depends on when you go and where you sit. I sat in the courtyard area by the fountain once and it was pretty quiet. Another time I went on a Saturday during lunchtime and sat inside closer to the kitchen area and it was pretty noisy.
Are there gluten free options for food?
Yes! They do. Even a yummy gluten free bun for sandwiches. :-)
Do they have high chairs or booster seats for toddlers/children?
Yes, we used a high chair when we were there.
About how much can a girl expect to spend for brunch? Just one dish to get full, and split a mimosa with 7 others.
One dish is plenty to be full, they run between $15 and $20, drinks are around $10 each.
Are they reservation only?
Yes! You can make a reservation online. You can just show up and make a reservation but you'll most likely have to wait 30-60 minutes so it's better to just do it online.
Has anyone had a baby shower here? About how much was it per person?
I saw a baby shower party last time I was there, not sure on pricing, but I've heard it can be pricey to host a private event. I'd say it's worth it given the beautiful decor!
Is says there are vegan options but there are only a couple salads (id have to ask for no cheese)?
They also have a vegetarian chili that is vegan!
Do they have WiFi?
No. They actually pride themselves on. It having WiFi and making you talk to each other! :)
