If Ponce Deleon found the fountain of youth I found the pool of old .... Place has got so much potential but seems to cater to people in Social Security ads. Please change things up - bartender very nice but change the "old fashioned " ways - maybe think about a "western/cowbiy" theme one night with country music ... place is perfect for that type of entertainment. Nice space - plenty parking but get some life into the place. Saturday night at the senior center has more excitement. a cool irish pub thats also a sports bar as the many tvs has soccer , baseball, basketball, football games playing . nice big bar area and table sections for non bar counter folks. standard pub food along with some irish dishes as well. crowd is mellow and upbeat as most folks seem to know each other including the bartenders and servers. had some wings and fries , diet coke , had my corner table to myself while my cuzs anchored at the bar area . this is what a typical irish bar looks and sounds like and its just what i needed on a saturday night. good wings i must say and server also made sure my diet coke was always filled when needed. got to give 4.stars on my yelp meter . read more

I left my shift at work and had to stop here due to a medical emergency. I have lupus so my leg locked in on me, I quickly pulled in before I wasn't able to move. I always see this place while driving home so I figured it would be a safe place. Shortly after, this guy comes out and THREATENS ME saying he's going to call the cops if I don't move and then says "by the way I used to be a cop" and basically says he can make anything happen to me. At that point I said "I don't care that you used to be a cop, you don't know if I'm having a medical episode or something" (which I was)... there was more back and forth in between, where I let him know I have lupus and wasn't feeling well. He then proceeds to say "oh yeah?, you're probably illegal". I honestly cannot believe this happened to me and that a place I sought safety in, actually made me feel the opposite. Sad that these type of people are allowed in this establishment. Update: After posting this, I've been blocked by the establishment on both Facebook and Instagram. Great cheap bar. The bartender was great and super friendly. There weren't a ton of people, but enough where I didn't feel like a degenerate walking in at 1 am. The beers were cheap $4 domestic $4.50 imports. They were playing some good music as well. What more can one ask for? read more

Great music venue to enjoy music of any genre and for the Saturday night I was in attendance, I made the trek to Yonkers to see Wrathchild and Victim of Change perform. Translation-Iron Maiden & Judas Priest cover bands, both were so deep in their ability, dressed the parts and genuine ism's of the actual musical acts. Quite a long run from the front door, continuing past the full bar all the way to the pool table area at the bar's rear door. A touch dark inside yet personal portability is of no real issue as the folks are all quite polite and move quite well among the narrow chute that weekend warriors must navigate to and fro from bathroom to bar. Inexpensive drinks served up thustly and with a quick smile gave me all the assurance these folks are professional in their jobs and waiting times will never be an issue and they were not. Definitively a fine place to meet up with the gang for a few brews. read more

Nice bar when you want to unwind and have a few, normal priced drinks with friends. The bartenders are friendly and respectful. The bands that play are entertaining and there is karaoke night on Thursdays. I like coming here because everyone treats one another with respect. It is a diverse bar with people of all ages, nationalities and gender. That is something refreshing to see sometimes rather than the typical young (rowdy) crowd or old perverted men. Everyone talks to each other and has a good time. Some bars are too cliquey or loud. It's not a bar I visit all the time because I am young and sometimes like to hang out at a more upbeat and youthful place. However, when I want a more relaxing night with friends I do like to come here and take advantage of the dart board, pool tables and cheap drinks. read more

Excellent pub! Very basic, yet awesome! Cold beer on draft. Colder beer on tap! They have 2 pool tables, but unfortunately I went there during their league night, and didn't get the chance to shoot as much as I wanted to. I didn't see any darts, but that's not to say they don't have It. Maybe I'm blind. My only complaint is their choice for music. They play complete crap. I think I heard The Devil Went Down To Georgia by Charlie Daniels Band....utter garbage. Their food was solid for bar food. I had mozzarella sticks and boneless wings. KEEP IN MIND THEIR KITCHEN CLOSES AT 9 PM, so get there beforehand If you have an empty stomach. Overall, will be back. read more

Good crowd, decent beer selection, but no food. Why advertise as a pub/bar and grill when there's no food?

I came here a few weeks ago with some friends to see a few cover bands. One did Judas Priest, the other Iron Maiden. The place was really good, and the drinks were priced really low, a good combo. Dim lighting set the tone as well. Also, for those who did not want to hang by the bands, there was a pool table in th back. KInd of hard to get to from Queens, so not sure if I will make it back, but if you are in the Yonkers area I would recomend Barney McNabbs. Nice, older crowd, and everyone was very friendly. From the bartenders to the various locals I met outside smoking cigs, everyone had a smile on their face and were ready to rock out to some old school metal. I do believe they have bands on every weekend, so stop in for some headbanging. read more

I will never go into this establishment again in my life. The bouncer at the door was one of the rudest people ever. Barely allowed me to take my i.d. out from my wallet and wouldn't allow me access because it was a new Jersey i.d.. as I try to hand him the i.d. he refuses it and says it's fake, mind you I'm 23 years old and have multiple forms of i.d. with me and the fact it's real. By the time arguing with him was over he finally puts his light on it to see it and still rebuttals with the fact that he doesn't care because he can say and refuse who he chooses and who he wants. I showed him 6 pba cards I had in my wallet and said feel free call anyone you'd like and ask them my age and his whole attitude changed quick. I didn't even make it inside to the dirty and dark abyss I saw before me and I was grateful. Worst bar experience ever. read more

Went here last night for the first time and I had the time of my life! It's an Irish pub but the diversity was amazing. There were hispanics, African Americans, caucasians and not one person treated anyone else less than a human. With all the segregation going on it was a breath of fresh air to go somewhere and be treated with love. The bartender Layla was gorgeous and amazing. Her charisma and energy was exciting and fresh and happy! She made an amazing drink for me because I told her to surprise me, she asked me 2 questions and before I knew it I had a delicious strong drink in my hands. The DJ, DJ Ray was playing all of my jams. From Bon Jovi and Nirvana to A-boogie wit the hoodie. He played a blend and had me dancing and singing in my seat. He had an interactive screen where we can live tweet and text to it. I of course took advantage with a selfie, my date had his picture taken by the beautiful Layla and we got to see our texts and pictures on the screen! Thank you Layla for making my experience memorable. And Thank you DJ Ray for not only giving me my hour of fame on the board but for the eclectic sounds you produced and "spun". read more

It smells really bad in there. Depending on what bands are playing, it can be full or near empty. Prices are reasonable. Bartenders are hit and miss when it comes to service. Bathrooms are kind of nasty. Maybe Jon Taffer can help them out a bit? read more

Nice bar, bands that play are very good, but the cover charge has doubled to $10.00. Friendly crowd and most people have been hanging out for years. The male bartender is attentive, quick and friendly...able to handle multiple customers with ease. The female bartender spends more time taking selfies and getting the order wrong. I'll still go to Barneys but I'll make sure to go to the guy behind the bar. read more

I went in on a Thursday evening to watch the game. Nice cheap drinks. Kind of dark and really random music. I was surprised there was no kitchen, but well worth the price for beer. They do karaoke Thursday nights when I went but there were a lot of older men just hanging at the bar. Overall I'm mixed...I'll give it 3 stars for now, but I think I may need a follow-up. read more

Your typical hole in the wall. No more, no less. Beer & booze, what more can you ask for? (Although you may want to ask for some peace & quiet when the local bands play. FYI: they're not usually very good, nor is the tiny bar acoustic friendly. Call ahead to make sure the bands aren't playing or bring earplugs.)
