Update: We used to absolutely love the place when the food and service plus accessibility were excellent. However... The ambiance is wonderful, but the service and coffee/food just got worse and worse. The barista is rude as can be, I'm not happy with sanitation (mentioned in several reviews) and the coffee (how does she manage to screw up Starbucks?) and foods are below par. I'm sad but honestly won't ever go again. My guests and I loved it, but it was worse each time, and there are two much better alternatives in town. Frankly, Stripes is a much better alternative. Much better friendly service, and Hatch green chili burritos. I rest my case. If you hate your job so much, please do everyone and yourself a favor and quit and do something else where you're happy. read more

Then I ordered a cream cheese danish. It was very good too. Service was super fast and friendly. Episodes of The Andy Griffith Show are shown on the TV. Service was horrible Wasn't even close to closing time we walk in She makes it a big deal that she has to stand up It felt like and very rude on taking our order. Everything looks so good In the pictures But it's so deceiving. Coffee was awfully sweet tasted burnt Food was disgusting. We asked for pancakes, and we see her mixing the batter over the trashcan with the trashcan lid, hovering over the batter Grossed us out . Well, 100% not becoming back to this Coffee Shop. read more

Stopped by Barney's on our way thru Brady. Excellent breakfast sandwich. Now I only wish I'd had enough room for the biscuits and gravy if they're as good as the sandwich!! Driving through Brady looking for a good cup of coffee. Yelp suggested Barney's! Cutest coffee shop attached to a historic hotel with so much history and ambiance. The couple (owners) working were so friendly and welcoming. They owned both the hotel and coffee shop. The renovation and updating of the old property was an intoxicating walk through historic Texas days gone by. Coffee was perfect and we will definitely plan a visit to stay overnight and enjoy the hotel and company of the gracious hosts! read more

It is a mystery how our small town has a coffee shop that serves quality coffee and great food, but dang it, we do! The owners are great and do their best to get the orders out fresh and hot. They make sure you understand, you will have to wait because they are going to cook your food. The prices are reasonable, the menu has dairy free options if you need it, they are a Starbucks retailer, and they have a dog. read more
