Nice way to spend a hot holiday. Sitting in AC watching a good movie.

I like everything about this theatre. Located on the southern side of the Villages, it is easy for me to get to and is always in too shape. Ticket prices seem a little less here than other places. When you walk in, it is decorated in a western style. The concessions are on the left and the restrooms on the right. Plenty of seating located in the lobby for relaxing before going in your theatre. Once in, there are restroom in this area, too. The actual theatre is quite nice. Soft, rocker seats. The arms between seats can lift out of the way if you prefer. The staff is very good about keeping the theatre clean between movies. For the money, this is a best bet for anyone.

Cool theater concept in The Villages.

Cool concept, like a big barn. Concession stand very slow, however. Many just give up. Been late for the movie while standing in line. Management issue. Until this improves, we'll be going to the other theaters. Hence 2 stars. This has happened too many times.

Rainy when we saw John Wick 2.

The only reason this theater isn't getting five stars is because the shopping in the area has become so lackluster that there is little else to do after you've seen a movie here. The venue itself is very nice. Tickets are a dollar cheaper here than the Regal cinema in Ocala and the seats are much better. The stadium seats seem to be a higher angle than others I've been in so there is no way a taller person in front of you can block any of your view of the screen. They also rock slightly, so it's easy to get comfortable for the duration of the movie. The Christie projector in the theater I sat in was exemplary. The picture was sharp from corner to corner and very bright. The Dolby 7.1 sound system was equally nice. I think this was the first time I've heard onscreen gunfire sound intentionally too loud, which is exactly how gunfire is supposed to sound (we saw John Wick 2). And this was without making the rest of the movie too loud. In other words, the dynamic levels of the sound were outstanding. I can't comment on the concessions as I have never eaten any of the theater food. The lobby reminds me of a Disney resort, though not done quite as convincingly as The House of Mouse. Still, the attention to detail in the "old timey" elements is very nice and makes for a fun journey as you walk to your theater. Some comfy seats to relax as you wait for a date who has to stop at the restroom after the show. Speaking of the restrooms, they are very clean and bright. The water fountain outside the restroom has a water bottle fill station built in. Convenient.

I never thought I would enjoy going to a theatre as much as I enjoy this one. From the moment you are in the vicinity you feel how unique of a area you are in. All of the Villages are themed but this is my favourite! They've added on quite a bit recently. The ticket price is fair, as it's the same price I've paid at other theatres. The outside looks like a barn, Hense the name... Upon entering the lobby you are inside the barn, with a tractor, furniture theme going along with the country, and the lamps and looking up is all themed as well. Now the concession stand is what really makes a difference at least price wise. We went for the value combo today and was super impressed... For $10.... Yes $10 you get a medium drink which we were offered to upsize to a large for a quarter... Uh yes please.... A medium popcorn... Plus a 3rd item.... Which could be a candy, glazed nuts, nachos and a couple others. Now that's a incredible offer! As at other theatres pecans are usually $4, drink is about $5 and popcorn is about 5-6$. Now the drink which I found out you can do this on any size drink... You can get a refill for $1. Now going through the lobby to your theater they have unique country decor. Even the bathroom stalls and sinks are country themed. They also have at the water fountain they have a filtered water bottle refill machine which this is the first I've ever seen. The sound system is amazing in the theatres and the seats recline and the arm rest come up if needed.

My favorite theater in The Villages. Big and beautiful, seats are comfortable and bathrooms are clean and beautiful too. Always enjoy going there and hanging out at the square afterwards. Hope they rebuild the one in Spanish Springs to be this comfortable.

It's closed for years. Take it off the site please. Never was a museum. Was a movie theatre just decorated like the old West.

We go there most of the time instead of Inverness where we live because the screen is huge, seats comfy and concessions cheaper.

We are always greeted warmly, parked strategically, and had the details explained to us upon arrival. Because our motorhome is 40' we have to park sideways so cannot see the movies out of the windshield as you would in a car, but we put out our lawn chairs and raised dog bed outside the rig and listen on our FM radio. We do tie the pups off to a post in front of us because others with dogs often park or walk nearby and ours are a bit too friendly. When the ticket booth opens, we pay for our tickets and concession voucher. The muffulettas and popcorn are both excellent! We were told we could run our generator before/after the movies but not during...worked out perfectly for us! Although our rig is self contained and didn't use them, bathrooms were nearby and open through the night. The even projected a free Valentines message between films as long as it was received a few days prior. Note: if you don't plan to listen from your car, you do need an FM radio...I don't think they have any of the old-fashioned window hanging speakers.

We accidentally lined up incorrectly and got a whole lecture how to read the signs. After paying $6 each and being charged an automatic $10 food voucher, we parked. The ladies working the concession stand are so rude. There's a sign that basically says "don't line up if you don't know what you want." The popcorn had been popped earlier so it wasn't warm and way too salty. The soda was flat, and the mozzarella sticks were again, salty. Apple Pay doesn't work! Movie started at 8pm and it was still daylight outside. The screen was still dark that no one could actually see the movie until an hour later. The instructions were to turn off the lights and engine, but the people around us had their engines on so the exhaust kept flowing through the lot. I wish there was an attendant that enforced the rules. Overall, it's an experience but they need to do better. I guess this is what $22 gets us.

We have been back several times since our first visit in February of this year. We've seen popular and new movies such as Goat, Project Hail Mary, and the Super Mario Galaxy Movie. You can arrive a half hour before the show starts to pay and get your spot to watch the movie. Tonight we watch Shang Chi and the Ten Rings and our experience specific to tonight... Not the best. In the beginning of the movie there are subtitles which you can't read because on this screen only the top line ever showed. So as long as there's only one line sentences you're good! In addition there aren't any loud speakers or speakers to place on your vehicle like many other drive ins have, so we had a really hard time hearing. I don't know if this movie was shot in dark lighting or if they needed to adjust lighting on the screen, but there seemed to be a glare or it was often hard to see some scenes. There was an idiot with his car lights on which may have posed a problem as well but no one said anything to them. No one walked around to check for things like that like many other theaters do as well. The website indicates if you have difficulty getting your lights to turn off they have covers for your car to use to dim your lights. There's no info about additional speakers though it does say if you have issues you can let them know. Also kind of bummed with the choice of preshow music. We really enjoy attending the theaters that okay the old fashioned tunes and ads! You only get half an hour before hand anyway which also could be extended some. Show up as early as you can within that time frame to get the best pick of parking spots. Also bring big spray or citronella candle or something. Bugs galore! We may try this theater again in the future but will need to probably bring a radio to provide additional speakers.
