The staff here is friendly, which makes for a pleasant experience every time. It's a bit odd that the theaters are split between two locations--some are in one area, and others are down the mall hall--but it's easy enough to navigate once you get used to it. It might feel a little run down in spots, but it's worth noting that they've upgraded their seating, which is a huge plus compared to some other theaters in the Orlando area. The Leesburg mall, where this movie theater is located, may not have much to offer; but the movie theater itself is on the nicer side ( compared to theaters from surrounding cities that I've visited). The theater and restrooms are always clean; concessions are quick and I've never had complaints with some of the food options (flatbreads, chicken tenders, etc.); they still offer matinee prices; and the reclining, up-to-date chairs are always a bonus. I always look forward to watching a movie here. read more

This theater is just okay. The best part is that it has reclining seats and you get to select your seat. We are members of AMC Stubs and buy our tickets ahead of time and select our seats when we purchase. You have to enter the mall to enter the theater - going through the food court is the best way to do that, especially after hours. My gripe is that the bathrooms aren't usually that clean (this time my daughter said there was vomit on the floor - yuck) and the ICEE machines never seem to be working. This time, of their 2 machines, one was completely down and the other (in a completely different area), only had 1 flavor working. None of the Coke ones were working. When I was trying to find one that works, another customer who frequents the movies there regularly said that it's always like that. Disappointing. We also were hoping to get one of the promo items for Inside Out 2 and they didn't have any of them on display. They did have stuff for IF and Garfield though. This is the closest recliner type theater to us, so unless I want to drive an hour this will probably continue to be our choice, but they can do better. read more

Kind of a strange, half abandoned mall. However, everyone that works there is very friendly. We went to the AMC for a movie for my birthday. Found a frozen yogurt shop whose attendant said the machines were broken down. But the toppings were out on the counter. And. The friendly employee said the machines have been out of order for FOUR YEARS! Really? Constantly? There's no way...The lady at the burger joint was super nice and also the lady at the jewelry kiosk. I guess I feel a bit sorry for the place and the workers who have to work in such a sad environment. Thus the four stars. read more

First time to the movies since 2019 right before the pandemic. It was so good to be back at the movies. We saw Jesus Revolution. What a needed story - based on true events - for our tumultuous times. The theater was disjointed a bit. We had to buy tickets and concessions in one spot and then had to walk across the mall to enter the theater at another spot. The bathroom stalls were really bad. All the stalls smelled like old pee and the walls of the stalls were really visibly dirty. I told a staff person and he told me he'd take care of it immediately. AMC THEATERS WOULD NORMALLY GET A 4-5 star from me, but the AMC at the Leesburg Lake Park Mall offers alcoholic drinks ONLY to patrons visiting theaters 1-6 (on one side of the mall/hall/aisle), but NOT theaters 7-12. They will not even allow paying patrons at theaters 7-12 to sit or stand at the bar (on the LEFT side of the theater) and order a drink! How absurdly ridiculous. Now I know why I usually go to EPIC theaters or AMC in Altamonte. Leesburg... stop being cheapskates and get your liquor license for the RIGHT side of the mall! NOTE: There IS a sign stating only theaters 1-6 are allowed to buy alcoholic drinks, but the sign is at the bar -- not at the front or within eyesight of ticket sales, so once you buy your ticket and try to buy a drink, you're totally screwed! What a crock. (P.S. I'm retired, it's a Friday afternoon, and I thought having one (1) light or ultra light beer before the movie started would be fun. We like this theater complex just fine, having recently starting to go watch movies after a long dry spell due to health and other issues. We tend to go before 4:00 in order to get less expensive senior pricing. The seating is comfortable with their recliner, and staggered so that the person in front doesn't block your view. The rewards programs aren't very useful to us, as we belong to the free Stubs program that takes many many visits to read a reward, but that is our choice. They have self service screens to buy your tickets with. Credit card and choose yown seats, or you can use cash and have a clerk help you. We have found the employees to be friendly and helpful. We haven't tried their concessions yet, since they don't have senior pricing for that luxury! We will keep going back as long as there are movies we are interested in. read more

We could have enjoyed the movie if it hadn't been so hot. It seems the air conditioner wasn't working but no one bothered to tell us before we went in the theater. It was so bad I was sticking to my seat. Mentioned it on the way out and all we got was a "yeah, sorry, it's broken". I will definitely think twice about going here again. read more

The seating was perfect, but the cleanliness of the restrooms was poor, floors need mopping the area just was unsightly. Surfaces need routine wiping. The concession employees need training for why and when to wear gloves. The cashier handled money wearing gloves and then proceeded to get the popcorn and drink cup while still wearing the same gloves. Will I return? I like this theater. It's never very crowded and the seats are very comfortable. My only gripe is that, while they constantly encourage to book our seats online, they feel the need to overcharge for it-- $3.98 extra for two tickets. No thanks. They call it a "convenience fee." The has been renovated with those super cozy lounge recliners. They were comfy. The popcorn wasn't yummy and you have to make your own drink with that nasty watered down coke dispenser that has 1,000 flavors and they all taste nasty. Thus the 3 stars. Sneak in your own bevs and food!!! read more

In an age when theaters are struggling to recover from CV-19 and fighting rampant piracy on home devices, you figure a movie theater would at least train its staff in top notch customer service. We're from out of town and COMPLETELY unfamiliar with AMC Lake Square 12 theater in Leesburg, FL. Tonight, 06/28/2022, we brought a group of eight people to see Top Gun at 9:30pm. There is ABSOLUTELY ZERO signage to direct you to the theater when you pull into the mall. We drove to two potential entrances in front of the mall and both were locked. So, we called the theater and the young man at least on the first call was polite. He told us to drive around to the back of the mall. We hung up and did just that. Upon arriving in the rear of the mall, we saw a huge neon-lit entrance and figured that was the theater. We walked in and it was a video game arcade. The young ladies were polite and said the entrance to the theater was "on the other side." So, we drove back around to the front of the mall and still couldn't find the entrance. We called the theater again and the young man said "it's the food court entrance." I explained that I had no idea where the food court was and without directions we were going to be late for the show. His reply was "if you can't find the entrance you can always go to another theater." TOTALLY frustrated with this young man and with AMC in general for not having any signage, we gave up at 9:46pm. Tomorrow, we will make sure to take the young man's suggestion and go to another theater to see Top Gun. Furthermore, we will not return to AMC Lake Square 12 ever again. read more

I really do appreciate the effort to improve the theater experience...The comfy reclining chairs and beverages are a great add, however the sound was really poor. Sounded as if it was only coming from the front speakers under the screen. My surround system at my house sounds better than this. We could hear that the folks in the theater next to us were feeling their experience. I said something to a couple of workers about it. One of them even stepped into the theater and began communicating on his super-spy earbud with someone. The sound never changed and no apologies were made. I just figured after dropping $150 on family movie night we could've had a better experience. Back to the Villages next time. read more

Cashier asked if I wanted to renew my Stubs reward card... I paid$15.00 to renew it. Then card didn't renew. Manager refused to refund money and said I needed to call Stubs. Stubs customer service stated the card was not eligible for renewal due to the reward program it was on was no longer being used.... And they can not refund any money as I should have not been asked to renew in the first place... Fraud, will never come here again read more

This is the nastiest dirtiest AMC I've ever been to. I am astonished it got positive reviews before. We were in the section for theaters 7-12, to see the new Spider-Man movie. The carpets were filthy and the Ladies bathroom reeked of urine, the floors were slippery and spotted from. Ot being cleaned in God knows how long, the counters were dirty and there was not a drop of soap in any of the soap dispensers. I went to the young man who was taking tickets and asked him if anyone ever cleans the bathrooms. He asked why and I told him. I went back to the restroom during the movie and someone had at least filled the soap dispensers but the other nastiness and smell remained. The staff clearly doesn't care about cleanliness. I walked across the mall to the main part of the theater and it was $6.95 for a small drink. Do yourself a favor and support independent movie theaters not this one!! read more

Missed most of our movie and she had no resolution except for come next time and let us know. We can put them in a different row. Only one had a ticket. Renovated, clean, spacious seating with reclining chairs. Very comfortable movie going experience. You can chose you seat online and pre-pay then go right in. They even have a bar. Ticket prices are very reasonable especially morning shows. read more

My visit was very satisfying. I just could give 5 stars because the popcorn tasted burnt. Other than the popcorn. I had the back row all to myself to watch the new Terminator movie. There weren't many people in the theater at 1:15 on a Tuesday. I love the reclining sears and the sound quality. I like that you can refill your drinks and because I have a membership, I get my popcorn and drink at a discounted price on Tuesday. I love Tuesday. The movie was great! read more

Compare to other AMC theaters in central florida this theater is not that bad. Not compare to horrible service at downtown Disney springs or altomonte theater. where the workers are useless and not helpful or rude. Beside not having any showing pass 9 this theater is always clean. The food is always fresh. The workers are very helpful. Despite the theater looking small it's not that bad compare to other AMC in Orlando that have horrible service. The managers working at this theater always nice and helpful. Very disappointed in how we were treated. First of all, this is the first movie theater I have better been to where we had to WAIT to get drinks and popcorn UNTIL we were allowed inside the lobby (which was 10 minutes before movie started). By the time we were into the theater the previews had already started. The Minnie Mouse wannabe was very rude to EVERYONE waiting to get in. Next time we'll go out of town to see a movie. I went to the theatres this evening to see Bladerunner and was shocked and appalled at the horrid customer service. There was a woman taking tickets dressed as Minnie Mouse (the only person there that was not wearing a uniform) and she was horribly rude and unprofessional. Not only did her appearance show lack of professionalism, her behavior was downright abhorrent. I noticed her treat several other customers poorly, refusing them entrance or calling security for little reason. I am not sure if she is a manager, but if so- power has clearly gone to her head. She had no nametag (convenient, since everyone else there DID have one), so unfortunately I cannot provide a name. I cannot believe AMC hires people like this. We arrived at 6:30pm for the 7:00pm showing of The Incredibles 2, and sat in theater #10 until 8:45pm before we were all moved to theater #8, because they were having sound issues. The movie was very good, and for our trouble, they gave everyone a free ticket to return. Pretty awesome. The only issue I had was nobody was told anything about them having sound issues. A man came in with a radio and you could hear him say "yeah, theirs still no sound." Until the guy sitting next to me spoke up and asked what's going on, at 8:45pm, we didn't even know we would be moving to the other theater. Their should be better communication from the employees to the patrons. Sure, giving free tickets is nice, but just letting everyone know what's going on, now that would have been a 5 Rating. read more

Screens can be a little small but the seats are comfy, recline and give enough space to not be annoyed. They serve alcohol so that is a plus as well. read more
