This vet is amazing! I brought in my old man cat who was having a tough night and these guys mad a bad day so much better- we must have been there 6 hours and everyone was kind and welcoming and cared for Aspen like he was their own. I don't even live in Katy but I would drive back 100times to get him taken care of here. Cannot recommend enough.

If you love your pet then VEG ER is worth visiting for that after hours or can't get an appointment emergency. My dog Teddy had a good sized gash in his rear paw that wouldn't stop bleeding and was clearly causing pain. My wife warned the VEG was expensive but I had to care for Teddy. The care VEG provided my dog and me was amazing. From the moment I entered we were triaged and I was handed a cup of coffee. After a good dose of sedation, three stitches and a pat on the rumo teddy was all good!

    Shelby feeling much better!

This is the most unique pet er! Open concept was great. We had a situation where our puppy ate part of her leash. It wasn't an emergency....yet! They were busy but recognized that a serious situation could be avoided. They made space in area where they could make her vomit and treat her nausea at the same time. They were proactive, professional and so good with her. Put this puppy mama at ease.

Even though I was having a terrible experience with my pup being sick. The staff at VEG made it a great experience. I was ugly crying and the receptionist was so sweet with greeting me and the Vet came out immediately (I wish I would've got her name!). The Vet was calm and reassuring that the toad my dog bit was more than likely not a lethal one and would be fine. The vet techs were so kind and gentle with my pup. They were busy last night; but still treated my dog with the upmost care and respect. I highly recommend this animal hospital for emergencies! 10/10 for experience, expertise, and empathy.

To start with, one very basic rule! If a client calls to speak to the manager, you SPEAK to the client with an issue! Everyone knows, word of mouth is the best marketing tool! I was way over charged before treatment, which was cut short by 7 hours, but no refund was given! You should have at least returned my call! Shame shame on y'all for dismissing one retired teacher fighting cancer, who you gave no shit about her or her cat! Shame shame on you! 75 year old teacher.

The team at this clinic were absolutely phenomenal when my fur baby had an emergency in early October. They allowed me to sit with her and gave updates on her prognosis in real time. They were very kind and accommodating and even sent a card after we left. Unfortunately my fur baby lost her battle, but the postmortem care was top notch and I'm so happy my fur baby is finally home. Thank you so much VEG for taking such great care of my baby and memorializing her in such a beautiful way! **note** VEG made the paw and nose prints of my baby and helped me pick out her urn. Everything else was ordered on Etsy!

Miss Addie had to spend some time with VEG. Everyone lovin on her.

Absolutely amazing people. We used them in SoCa and now in Katy. 5 stars isn't enough. Thank you so much for being such a great place.

My little guy, Dave, had a severe allergy attack/issue. He was scratching himself self so much he was bleeding and lost hair around his eyes. Kimberly and Danielle garnier assisted and treated Dave very quickly. We were surprised at how quickly he was seen. Thank you for the great care for the bestest pup ever!

    Rocky finally free of pain

Although the outcome was not the best for my beloved Rocky, as soon as we got there the whole staff rushed to his aid. The doctor explained everything clearly and we understood the critical situation Rocky was facing! We accepted the only option Rocky had and we had peace knowing he was going to be free of pain. Rocky was taken care and was given the respect we wanted. Thank you everyone for everything you did for us. Blessings to you all

    Happy puppy going home

I can't say enough about how real hero's work here! They saved my baby's life! The care, kindness, bedside manners, and love everyone gave in the most stressful situation imaginable is beyond comparison. Thank you to everyone at VEG!

Leo and Baxter thank you, too!

The best animal hospital ever with the best people and the best prices. If there is an emergency…read morethey will stop ( if they have to ) and tend to the emergency which is very helpful. I'm incredibly disappointed to be writing this because, after more than 20 years as a pet owner, I…read moregenuinely thought I'd finally found a veterinary clinic that was compassionate, honest, and cared more about animals than maximizing charges. I rushed my 4-month-old Australian Shepherd puppy in because she was suddenly nauseous, shaking, could barely stand, and was struggling to keep her eyes open. To their credit, they got her in immediately, checked her vitals, and ran blood work to make sure there wasn't anything seriously wrong. I truly appreciated how quickly they acted. After the exam, they recommended an anti-nausea injection and subcutaneous fluids for dehydration. The total estimate was around $751. I didn't hesitate. When your puppy is sick, you don't question the bill--you just want them to get better. My disappointment came afterward. When it was time for the fluids, the technician told me, "She might yelp a bit, but she'll be fine." The reality was much different. As soon as the needle went in, my puppy panicked, cried, struggled, and even started bleeding. The technician stopped the procedure and said, "Okay, it's stressing her out too much. We just got a little in." I then asked if I would still be charged the full $135 for the fluids, despite only receiving a small portion of them. I was told yes because it was a flat fee regardless of how much fluid was actually administered. I explained that didn't seem fair. The response I received was, "The fluids are helpful, but they're not necessary, and it's causing her more stress. If you want, I can try injecting her again." That response completely changed how I felt about this clinic. If the fluids weren't necessary and the stress could outweigh the benefit, why wasn't that conversation had before the procedure? Instead, I was only told after my puppy had already gone through a traumatic experience and after I was informed I'd still be paying the full amount. As a pet owner, I was already scared and willing to pay whatever was necessary to help my puppy. That's exactly why transparency matters. I wasn't upset because veterinary care is expensive--I understand that it is. I was upset because I felt like I wasn't given the information needed to make an informed decision, and when the procedure couldn't even be completed, there was no attempt to be reasonable about the charge. Even a partial adjustment or simply waiving that fee would have shown compassion and goodwill. Instead, I left feeling like policies mattered more than the experience of a frightened puppy and an owner who trusted them. What makes this especially disappointing is that, until today, I would have enthusiastically recommended this clinic. They had earned my trust. Unfortunately, this experience made me question whether empathy truly comes before billing. I hope they reconsider how they communicate treatment recommendations and handle situations where procedures can't actually be completed.

I am deeply disappointed with the experience I had at this clinic…read more I brought in a dog that had been missing for about a month after locating her owners through her microchip. The dog was in obvious respiratory distress, with pale gums and signs that she needed immediate medical attention. My only goal was to help reunite her with her family and make sure she received appropriate care. Unfortunately, the veterinarian's attitude was extremely unprofessional. She was rude from the beginning, spoke to us with very little compassion, and even raised her voice at me when I respectfully asked that the owners be informed about the option of proceeding with X-rays and blood work before making a decision about euthanasia. I was not demanding treatment--I simply believed the owners deserved the opportunity to understand all of their options. The dog was then taken to the back treatment area. About ten minutes later, we were told she had gone into cardiac arrest and were asked whether we wanted CPR. Whether the outcome could have been changed or not, the communication throughout the entire process was poor, rushed, and lacked empathy. I understand that not every patient can be saved, and I respect the difficult decisions veterinarians have to make every day. However, kindness, clear communication, and respect toward both clients and rescuers should never be optional. I sincerely hope this clinic reflects on how families are treated during some of the most emotional moments of their lives. Compassion is just as important as medical knowledge.

I cannot recommend this business based on my experience…read more I want to begin by acknowledging that the owner was professional and respectful throughout this situation. Unfortunately, my overall experience was negatively impacted by the handling of my case by the front desk staff. After my dog passed away, I was told I needed to complete a JotForm before the cremation process could begin. I informed the receptionist multiple times that I had never received the form and asked for it to be resent. During my first call, I was placed on hold for approximately 16 minutes and was assured it would be sent. By the following day, I still had not received it, so I called again. Rather than addressing the issue, the receptionist was dismissive, repeatedly interrupted me, and was unwilling to listen as I tried to explain that I had never received the form. After more than a week with no updates or communication regarding my dog's remains, I was informed that the cremation would no longer be performed and that I would need to retrieve my dog's body instead. As a grieving pet owner, I found this deeply distressing. After my dog's body had been in their care for over a week, I was faced with the possibility of having to identify and transport her remains myself. This is an experience no family should have to endure, particularly when the delay resulted from a communication breakdown outside of their control. Compassion, clear communication, and professionalism are especially important when families are coping with the loss of a beloved pet. While I appreciate the owner's professionalism, the lack of communication and the way this situation was handled by the front desk left me disappointed and added unnecessary emotional distress during an already difficult time.
