!!!CAUTION!!! THEY WONT FOLLOW UP EVEN IF YOU PAID. THEY…read moreARE NOT EDUCATED THAT TREATMENT OF SERVICE DOGS IS DIFFERENT. See below: I brought my service dog in on Tuesday due to a family members dog tearing her ear. The girls upfront were WONDERFUL! HOWEVER, the veterinarian, JOSHUA SAVAGE SHIELDS, did NOT thoroughly go over all the steps with me of what he was going to do prior to treating my service dog. I said I DID NOT want an all over general sedation. ONLY localized and he did not honor that. This is VERY IMPORTANT because if your service dog is drugged and sedated it cannot do its job once it leaves the vet for several hours (not 30 minutes as he said) and he disregarded my request. No wonder his middle name is "SAVAGE" MORE IMPORTANTLY: I called in two days later because my dog was having severe diarrhea from the antibiotics prescribed and I wanted to know what I can do to help with that since charcoal is not an option and it would pull the medicine out of her system. They said we can't help you because you're not a client here anymore DESPITE THE FACT I PAID FOR SERVICES! Be very careful if they decide that they don't like your constructive feedback for how your visit went then they will just dump you for any kind of follow up even though you paid for their service

Me and my husband really would like to take the opportunity to thank the Bay City Vet Clinic team…read moreand Dr. Shields for giving us the upmost experience for our baby Tenshi. We were in such deep emotions knowing the amount of pain she was suffering. But Dr. Shields and his phenomenal team changed things around for our Tenshi's broken elbow. They successfully fixed her up through their special goddess hands as top surgeons and she is now at peace . Even though she may have slight pain here and there, she can now easily rest and have a peaceful recovery thanks to this wonderful and amazing team. I can't express enough gratitude for what Dr. Shields and his team has done for our baby girl. Thank you thank you Bay City Vet Clinic. We will highly recommend you and spread your amazing clinic to our other Frenchie pet owners and all other pet owners as well that needs a trusting home to come to!

I've never needed a emergency veterinary clinic before. I can honestly tell everyone who's ever…read morein need of one that this clinic -and everyone there-is absolutely amazing. My little cat was shot by some evil person in my neighborhood (who I'm actively hunting BTW). Luckily the pellet/bb/bullet didn't hit any vital organs and he's going to be okay. They got him back there immediately and ran an x-ray and took great care of the little guy. I hope I don't ever need to take him back but if ever I do, I have them saved in my favorites. If you guys happen to see my post, I just want to thank you again. Thank you SO MUCH!!

Don't go to the one in Cinco Ranch. We came in with a large cage with a feral cat who was in bad…read morecondition. They were doing a shift change and there were at least 12 vets and techs there. NO ONE offered to help us carry in this large cage and they could see we were elderly (75). Then we sat in the room crying about our feral cat while they were laughing out in the exam area. Very rude and uncaring atmosphere. The vet wanted us to put the injured feral cat back out in the 20 degree weather rather than gently put him to sleep and out of his misery. My friend warned us not to go there because they were rude and uncaring with her cat. We just came from our regular Vet who actually examined the feral cat and said he would not have made it one more night outside because he was extremely malnourished and dehydrated. He had not come for food at our house for 8 days. I am deeply troubled that the ER did not examine this animal before refusing care and offering guidance that directly conflicted with the medical findings of a licensed veterinarian. I am sharing this so others can advocate strongly for animals in distress and consider their options carefully. Please trust your instincts and seek a second opinion if something does not feel right.

Outstanding care and very professional staff. I trained military working dogs for over 19 years,…read moreand I have dealt with a lot of Vets, Techs, and Staff...to include emergency Vet services. These guys are great, straightforward and very good about keeping you up to date and informed. Emergency Vet services are never cheap, but I've paid far more for a dog having an allergic reaction, at other clinics, as compared to, this time, a dog with an injured leg. Very pleased, and very glad we used this clinic. And while it shows this location as closed...this is a 24 hour clinic with full ICU capabilities.

The whole agency gives a toxic vib. When I talked to the…read morespecialist on the phone expressing my concern, he didn't even bother addressing my concern and just stayed complete silent on the phone. When I was taking in all options he presented, he left me no time to think and said "am I boring you?" When he called back to give me an update regarding all the tests my dog did, instead of giving me an update and shared his professional diagnosis, he simply asked "do you have any questions" as soon as the phone is being connected. In addition, their team is not coordinated and gave conflicting and confusing care instructions. Even their front desk doesn't seem to show any care. When I called to ask if the medication was ready, they said it's not because their care teams were busy. Then I further ask when it will be ready, the front desk simply said "I can transfer you to leave a voicemail". They obviously don't care and just want to end the phone call. I certainly don't feel this place actually care about the pets and will never recommend anyone taking your beloved family member to this place.
