I asked for an itemized bill and they falsified it , it did not reflect the $1000.00 prep fee I was being charged after the sales rep told me I would not be charged for them to fix the vehicle. I also presented a groove car/ cuauto $300.00 off coupon. After reviewing my final bill of sales the following day I realized the $1000.00 discrepancy and thought that perhaps they had added rather than subtracted my down payment . When learning the truth that it was a hidden prep fee, I was furious! After much negation they agreed to refund the $1000.00 but refused to acknowledge the $300.00 coupon claiming that it was handed in after negations when I handed it in during negations. I will never go back to Baron Honda to buy a car. The first one I bought in 2012 was terrific, loved the car, great service, no complaints. Went back in July 2019 to turn it in and get a new civic I found online and was subjected to the following: The salesman tried to pressure me into taking the car the day I looked at it, as I was on my way out of town with my own car fully loaded with stuff, I guess he thought it would be convenient for me to spend an hour on the blacktop in 90' heat moving it all over into a car that was not cleaned. He said to his boss, "It does nothing for US if she does not take it today, right?" WTF? How on earth do you think I am there to do something for you? You are the one trying to sell cars, no? As I was explaining I would take the car in 3 days when I got back, he tried to tell me he was going to reduce the amount of the trade-in value because I was driving to New Jersey, until his manager came over and said that was crazy and agree to honor the amount. When I looked at the car I noticed there were big white smudges on the doors, and pointed that out to the salesman. He said it was baked in bird poop and it would be fixed during detailing. I also pointed out there were stains on the seat covers and asked if those could be cleaned. When I came back for the car, the smudges were there, and he said they could not get it out. When I took it to a body shop later, they said it was brake fluid on someone's hands that ate through the paint, I would have to re-paint the doors to fix it. They ruined the fabric in the seat covers and now it has holes in it from the cleaning agent and the brush they used. I was away for the first week I had the car, and when I came back and it was really hot and I tried to put the A/C on. There was no A/C. At all. None. I made several calls to the salesman, he told me to call service. I got an appointment 11 days out. I asked him to please do better than that as he should not have given me the car with no A/C, and he said it had A/C and they were very busy. When I got the car serviced almost 2 weeks later, the compressor was broken, condenser leaking, and there was not a drop of freon in the system. The service guys were terrific and helpful. Baron paid for this $1,800 repair, but I was inconvenienced for weeks the moment I drove away with it. At the one month point of owning the car, I got a letter and a check from Baron for $2,500 saying "we would like to buy back your car" that I had only had for one month. What a crack team that is over there in sales to reach out to someone who has not even made the first car payment on the loan and ask if I want to bring it back to them to do more business. I've mostly gotten oil changes and service recall fixes here but service have always been excellent. Most of the time, I'm usually in and out within an hour without an appointment and their waiting room is pretty nice (there's AC, tv, wifi, free snacks and drinks, and magazines). When you're done, or if there are other issues, they come get you and they're not pushy about getting other services/repairs than what you just came in there for. I usually have a coupon for the oil change and I've brought in expired ones before and they don't even blink an eye accepting it. Yesterday, I was just going in for an oil change and when they looked up my car, there was a service recall that they notified me of and included with the oil change. There was also one time that they called me at home to inform me that they owed me an oil change for some work (probably service maintenance) that they didn't do the oil change (I guess because I didn't need it yet), and that is the kind of service that keeps me coming back. I also noticed some sign in the waiting room that says they're the #1 dealer in the nation, and I was impressed...not shocked at all. read more

during the leasing of my new honda my sales man Steven Brodeur stated that my last payments on my lease would be incorporated into my new lease payment. However 2 weeks later i receive a final lease letter from Honda stating i still owe them money they told me i was responsible to pay unless it was in agreement with Baron, then they would pay, I called Baron Honda right away and of course my salesman wasnt in, so i left a message with carmen on 5-17-17 and she would give it to him. The next day i called again this time spoke to Jenna on 5-18-17 and left the same message to speak to Steven. still no call back--i made payment to avoid trouble with credit. I have never been treated with such care at any car dealer I have very worked with , I was tested with respect, honesty, I was actually able to put my trust into Dustin (new car sales associate), Dustin did not pressure me into a high price , he had the foresight to see where I was financially and made the deal work in my favor. In total I was back and fourth with Dustin until he finicky was able to work out the perfect deal for me . Dustin put pressured where it matters , he didn't pressure me , however he did pressure his supervisors into making this experience a great one. Be careful! Extremely unhappy after my experience with baron Honda. I emailed back and forth with a woman named Danielle then a woman named jenna interested in the honda crv exl they quoted us one price and specifically said what was included. The night before going in I called and spoke to jenna. I told her if the price changes when I walk in you wasted all of our time. She assured me it would not. When there the sales person bobby has written and highlighted the email conversation and act as though they will honor that price. After discussing down payments, monthly financing and running my credit a manger comes in. I went there for service on my Honda (the paint was peeling in multiple places) and was told the car had been painted which it had not (I am the original owner). The single most abusive interaction I have ever had with a dealership. The paint is falling off of my 2009 Honda. I went to the dealership because this is a well documented problem among late model Honda's. Ive been looking for a used vehicle for a while, car shopping to me is as agonizing as getting root canal, after visiting many dealerships along route 112 in Patchogue, I happened upon Baron Honda, I saw a listing for a used Honda Pilot I was interested in.... So in I walk...ready to do battle, I had all the information I needed before hand , the vehicle was listed for a good price.. "Whew...here we go ".. I thought how am I going to be lied to now... Then I met Mr. Will Combs one of the Salesman.. he showed me the vehicle, I had tons of questions he was patient, polite and proffesional he knew the systems and dynamics of the vehicle. told him I was just looking for information. " No problem! " he said and let me know that when I leave if I had any other questions he would gladly answer, I test drove the vehicle. I needed some time to think it over so I decided to mull it over for a day. At no time did Mr. Combs pressure me in any way, didnt call 15 managers over to me like most dealerships. I called the next day and left a deposit, now came the dance.. ( I thought) we negotiated a price that was more than fair, of course as a buyer you want to get the best deal possible, Mr. Combs showed me why this was the best offer that could be done.. Pure class and honesty! Im a helicopter mechanic so I went over the vehicle thoroughly and what I found was already noted previously, all my concerns were adressed. Even the finance guy was great!... I expected to be pressured like other dealerships into getting extended warranties etc.. but the gentleman told me what was available and how much and let me make the decision... no pressure.. even as I was leaving to take the vehicle home , it had 3 sets of keys.. Mr. Combs suggested we check them all ( I didnt think of it!) one set needed batteries so he changed them out for me.. If I could give zero stars I would. This was the worst experience I've ever had. The salesman Bobby Brodeur lied to us on the first occasion regarding the price that he could sell us the car for. Then when we returned he confirmed that lie of the price that he could sell the car to us because it was such a low price we had to confirm that the price quoted was in fact the right price. Upon returning the third time to purchase the car Bobby Brodeur then told us that the price was impossible and we must have been mistaken. Upon showing him the price that he wrote down on the paper that he had given us he changed his story and said that he must have been mistaken. When confronted again he "went to speak to his manager." Upon returning he told us that the price was mistaken somehow and gave us the new higher price. We then asked to speak with his manager and he said that he was in fact the manager. He also proceeded to tell us that the interest rate that he initially promised us he could do may not be possible. Bobby Brodeur is a sleazy salesman and I think anyone going there should be careful when/if dealing with him. read more

I needed an oil change so I called the dealership (Nardy) where I purchased my car. They couldn't fit me in until next Tuesday so I called Baron Honda in Parchogue which is actually much closer to my home. Nardy posts coupons so I knew than an oil change would be $24.95 with 10% off for seniors. When I went to the Baron Honda coupon site there was nothing posted! However, I was told to come in so drove over there. I mentioned to their rep: William Christian that I had tried to access their coupons and he told me that he had already given me a discount for today. One the way home I stopped at the post office to mail a letter when my cell phone rang. It was a friend who I am getting together with tonight. I complained to her that Baron charged me $37.97 for an oil change and mentioned that that was their discounted price. She told me she paid the same price a few weeks ago and it was no discount! I definately will not be returning to Baron Honda. read more

Absolutely terrible experience with this dealer. I work at a local repair shop and we've ordered parts from them a few times. Every time is horrible. We've been nice enough to give them many chances to redeem themselves but every time there's an issue. They never call to let us know when parts arrive, were always calling to find out if parts are in. We always ask if they're able to deliver the part when we initially order it to be told they can and once it does arrive there's an excuse such as my driver is out or we're too busy. Pure laziness. I recently sent one of my associates to pick up a part on his way into work and sent him a picture of our company purchasing card only to be told that they need to have the card to run it. Seriously? Now I needed to leave my store to pick up this part because they were too lazy to manually enter information on a keypad. And even worse I've got there myself before and they've manually entered it for me when I showed up without the card but had the information. Avoid this dealer at all costs. If the parts department and cashiers are this incompetent and lazy I can only imagine just how bad sales and service may be. read more

We were looking for a Honda Clarity (plug-in hybrid) which they didn't have in stock. They said that if I put down a fully refundable $200 deposit, they would hold it for me to look at. The car that was coming in was dark gray which I didn't so the salesman told me they could swap it out for a white or silver before it came in. They did get a white one in and I went to look at it, but after we saw they car, we decided not to buy it. They refused to refund my deposit so I am out $200 and they are out a customer for life as I will never go back there. I felt I was mislead and the fact that they think that saving $200 is worth losing a customer tells me the kind of dealership it is. I would not recommend them, but if you do decide to go there, be sure you get it in writing that the deposit is fully refundable if you decide not to buy the car. This was a $200 lesson I learned. I went into the dealership one day and test drove several cars. The salesman let me take the car out on my own so I could do more than a typical 5 minute test drive. I had come in for a used car but decided on a new Accord. He gave me a price but I wasn't ready to buy it then. I went home and did some research. I found a deal on Edmunds.com for Barons so I sent in a request for a "price promise price". I exchanged several texts with Jenna, the internet manager. She gave me a better price than the salesman had. I specifically asked more than once if it was a guaranteed price and if there were any other fees (other than DMV fees). She told me if I did not add anything to the car "the price will not change." I then called her to confirm and be sure that there was no issue with my having done a test drive the day before. She spoke to the manager and suddenly the car was nearly a $1000 more because of a destination fee. The car was on the lot. I told her I was not paying an additional fee and that I had all the texts we had exchanged. The salesman got on the phone and argued with me, telling me I didn't understand. When I told him I had all the texts from Jenna he asked me to come in to discuss it. Instead, I called another dealer and asked if they would meet the guaranteed price I had gotten from Jenna. They beat that price. I bought my car from the other dealership and it was an easy and pleasant experience. read more

I received letters in the mail stating to come down to Baron Honda and they could possibly take my lease over early and I would not have to worry about wear and tear, disposition fee, mileage and any payments due. When I showed this letter to the salesman he said it would just cover my first months payment., Then he said after showing him the information in the letter that all the other stuff was only if you were giving back a Honda. Nowhere in the letter did it state that, but it did state: regardless of any make, model or year. He gave me fixed numbers for a car and would not work with me at all on the figures. When I went to show him on my computer the different prices I have seen he said "I do not have time for that." When I said I wanted to speak to a manager he said their are 2 today and it is Sunday and they are both busy. When I asked to speak with the girl who answered the phone for me to come down, he said she was also busy. She came out to say high to me when I came in and was very nice but then was too busy to see me after. He did not say please have a seat she will be with you soon. I also said I would wait for the managers and he said you cannot they are too busy. There was basically no customers in the store. A worker that was standing next to me asked to see the letter and I showed it to him. He asked me some questions and came out to look at my car. To my surprise he said he was a manager. What is going on? He said what the salesman did to me was wrong. I told him I would never go back to Baron Honda again. I needed to add in how easy it was for this salesman to blatantly lie to me and not care that I came down there on a cold rainy day and wasted my time. read more

Baron used lot on sunrise service road absolutely terrible customer service. I purchased a car from there. They were all nice and happy when I bought the car but as soon as I had my first problem within the first month I brought it back to them. Their mechanics response to warped rotors was put more miles on it. So I did as he said and put 10k miles on it. Set up a day to what I thought was getting them changed only to be screamed at by the finance manager bill. Long story short they do not go the extra mile to help out their customers. So save urself the trip and go to a reputable dealer. He is the biggest asshole walking. I would not recommend this business. The sales man Jason is awesome but they don't like to help with issues pre existing on the cars u buy from them. There's also drama within the two stores the finance manager of the used lot always has a lot to say about the service dept of the new lot. Hence they use different mechanics. It's comical read more
