I could not recommend Rywen Insulation more highly for rodent control work. We've had rodent control people here before, but never at the level that Rywen takes things to. They put in place genuine long-term preventative measures to keep rats and mice out, not just patching holes. And that has made all the difference. No more smell in our under-the-stairs closet! And, I'm not sure if it is always a part of their service, but they offered us a one-year warranty. Rats and mice did return --- probably due to a contractor leaving our crawlspace door open overnight with the lights on, several times (oops). I called around all the top reviewed places and decided on Original Rodent Proofing. They were…read morecompetitive, not the cheapest, but Shannon Lee sold me on their work, along with Brandon (owner's) call to check in and answer any questions. Their warranty on work done was another key factor. An electrician found a dead rat and droppings in the attic, so I needed clean up and rodent proofing. In the crawl space, a bunch of the ducts were unattached by wear and tear and plumbing work that had been done in the past (which I didn't know. No wonder my gas bill was so high over the winter!). Shannon and team cleaned everything up, sanitized, reattached the ducts and rodent proofed the whole house on the outside. Apparently the attic was vulnerable, as prior owners' foam had been chewed through in the eaves. After they were done they set traps which will be checked every few weeks. I will update if there are any further rodents but I am confident in the work by the company and team. I highly recommend this family owned company.

The guy who came out was on time, a bit eccentric and very passionate about rats. He was detail oriented and did a great job explaining the job and its breakdown. Unfortunately on the day of the job, we had 4 guys come to our home on time- but none of them spoke English. Now, I appreciate them coming out, but we just could not communicate and they did not have work trucks or shirts with their company name. An hour later, we had a younger guy show up and he spoke English. The crew worked really fast, did a nasty job of removing our rodent infested insulation and put in new insulation, they mixed concrete and patched up some holes as well and put out rat traps. They came back twice to check the traps and removed them. I think they did a good job, appreciate their punctuality. But management should always send someone who speaks some English and provide a company truck or at least shirts. I personally felt uncomfortable letting into my home a group of random men with no identification.

The good part - they arrived on time and completed their work in a few hours. Everything seemed to be okay for a month until I started hearing pigeon activity again. I ignored thinking it could get one off. But a few months later I could hear squabs and pigeon activity started being more consistent. So when I saw it more closer I noticed few pigeons were still nesting. When we took some photos we noticed that they left a gap under one of our solar panels. Pigeons were using it to nest. Additionally, they used some inferior quality aluminum mesh instead of using the more durable and professional galvanized steel mesh. I got our roof cleaned again from other licensed company.
