Updating because I seem not to have written that I returned twice to Ensenada since my original review. And when I say twice, that's at least 2-4 times to Barra D' Cafe each visit to Ensenada. Pour over in the morning and sometimes also pour over or latte in the afternoon. I don't normally drink so much coffee, but...get the good stuff while I can. I've tried everything on their coffee and food menu. It has never disappointed. Still one of my top 3 favorite pour overs anywhere (that's including Tokyo), for every reason...flavor, value, vibe, and staff. They've recently shared some sad news about the loss of a (staff member?). With everyone being so wonderful there, it really is a tragedy. My heart goes out to them.

Outstanding. Hats off plus sincere thanks to Jess and her colleagues for taking care of us. Barra D'Cafe is a charming spot located in the cute/hipster/awesome Plaza Santo Tomás. There's bench style seating on the inside or abundant seating outside in the shared grounds. it was the late afternoon, so I expressed my desire for just one shot of espresso. Jess recommended a classic cappuccino or an iced latte. Given that it was a warm-wish day, I opted for the latter. You have your choice of non-dairy milks if you so desire. I went in on oat milk. Then with flavor here's where things get really interesting - they have a white sage option! Very unique, with distinct notes of smoke and an overall earthiness. Absolutely delicious and memorable. Service was beyond friendly and warm. Thank you again!

If you happen to be in Ensenada trying out wine for the day I think a quick coffee stop at Barra D'Cafe is required. I come to Ensenada two or three times a year for events and I almost always end up stopping for a latte at Barra D'Cafe. This café has the traditional coffee, teas and espresso drinks. I almost always get a latte or a cappuccino. The pastries and baked goods are great as well. I recommend the chocolate chip cookies. This complex also features other businesses as well. There is a mezcal tasting room, a restaurant on the top floor and of course Santo Tomas is nearby. The bathrooms are toward the back of the building. If you're in Ensenada and want a caffeine charge I recommend you try Barra D'Cafe.

We stopped by Barre De Café as part of a self-guided food & drink tour on a cruise visit to Ensenada. A 30 minute walk from the port, you'll be rewarded with a charming café offering authentic mexican beverages (we opted for the Mexican hot chocolate - great tasting with a spicy edge), from friendly, and attentive staff. To find, keep an eye out for the murial on the outside of the building.

I advise you to step off the beaten path and head to Barra D' Cafe if you find yourself in Ensenada. Several blocks away from the ocean lies this small, nicely decorated coffee shop with knowledgeable coffee baristas. Points added for being open on Sunday morning, offering fast WiFi & excellent hot chocolate.

Excellent coffee. We ordered a pour over Nayarit and a maple latte. Highly recommended. I ended up buying some coffee to take back to San Diego. They roast the coffee is small batches on site. The best part is you are supporting a small family run business that cares about high quality coffee.

Lots of hype on this place for coffee - believe it. It's the top quality stuff that anyone from anywhere in the world will appreciate (even coffee snobs from Australia).

This is my favorite coffee shop. I visit each time I come to Ensenada. Latte con maple y sal is still our favorite

I read online that this place was great. So I had to check it out for myself. It was pretty amazing. The staff was super friendly and helpful. The coffee was amazing. You can tell they care about the quality of every shot of expression being pulled. I will for sure visit again and recommend to all my friends.

Cute little coffee slightly off the beaten path. A quick walk and you are there. High quality, small batch coffee that is roasted on site. The staff was friendly, spoke English and very detailed oriented. After we got our drinks we sat outside in the courtyard and enjoyed watching the world go bye. Try something different and check this place out.

Extra seating area. Love the modern art and decor!

That said, this is some of the best coffee in San Diego. It's worth the parking situation. I ordered an oat milk cortado and a whole milk latte. Both were delicious--balanced, flavorful, and showcasing serious attention to detail. My mom said the latte was one of the best she has ever had. The store itself has a cute and fun interior that's welcoming. They have tons of seating, including booths, high-tables, and even a big wrap lounge chair. The staff are really friendly and helpful people who smile, offer suggestions, and engage you authentically. Overall, highly recommend Jaunt to all coffee lovers (and even the casual dabblers).

Both were refreshing and very tasty. Highly recommend both. The service was fantastic. Everyone that worked there was kind and lovely but special shout out to John who excitedly explained all of the different beans (we wanted to take a bag home) and their specialty drink options. He was patient with all of our questions and very knowledgeable about where to steer us. It looked like they had empanadas but they also have cheesecake! We got a slice of the biscoff cheesecake and it was hella tasty. A lot of people were in here working which was nice. There are a lot of seating options and the AC was on which was ALSO very nice. They also have outdoor seating as well. It's in an unassuming industrial building but because of that parking is plentiful!

The flavor is deep and rich without that stale or rancid taste I sometimes get from grocery-store coffee beans. You can really taste the difference with quality, fresh beans. I'll definitely be coming back regularly for more beans and next time I'm trying the actual coffee too! ‍

We came on a Sunday morning and were the only party there, and when the barista opened the 1 fridge they had it was surprisingly pretty empty. They do have a rotating seasonal menu with some fun flavors. We got: - Hot Vanilla Lavender Latte (4/5): Very noticeable lavender scent and flavor, unlike many other locations that make it more subtle. If you love lavender I would recommend! - Iced Vanilla Bean Latte w/ oat milk (4.5/5): Very solid latte that I wouldn't mind having again, but also not particularly unique. Also worth noting the oat milk they use is planet oat, which isn't my preferred choice. Overall, solid coffee spot with solid beans. I wasn't interested in any of their summer seasonal flavors, but would be down to try out other seasonal menu items next time I'm in town.
