Ive been to this location years ago, pre-covid but I don't remember the taste or my experience so I had to come back and give a proper update and review. I walked in and it wasn't too busy, the lady who helped me was friendly and chill. The interior is cool, a ton of stuff to buy and a nice warm ambience. I ordered a vanilla latte. The latte was very disappointing, no coffee taste, just an iced milk. no flavor at all, It wasn't good. Everything was great except the taste of the coffee. Thank you Mostra for the experience.
So many Filipino flavors I love at this coffee shop! My favorite is the bibinka latte, so authentic with the ingredients used. The turon latte is an easy second favorite. Inside is cute and love the seating areas. They have pick up/mobile order, makes for convenient ordering! I always recommend this place and love when I see their coffee at other restaurants like Common Theory!
We came here on a Thursday morning and it wasn't too crowded so there was no wait or line. They had ran out of one of the syrups for a drink I wanted (the blueberry pancake) so that was disappointing. But I like ube so I opted for the Ube steamer. It was quite a good drink as it was the perfect level of sweetness and has a strong ube flavor. Cute interior and has a nice cozy, modern set up.
Coffee is amazing here. I went here to meet a friend and sit and chat. I ordered a campfire drink and it was amazing. It was not too sweet, which I was concerned about. It was perfect. Service was friendly and efficient. I'm already planning on going again. The only thing that would be nice would to have some pastries with the coffee. Ambiance is casual and clean. I'll be back!!
First time trying Mostra Coffee and it was really good. I had their bibingka crème brûlée latte. The coffee was subtly sweet with nice notes of burnt caramel and nicely toasted coconut. Love that they support small coffee farmers and highlight Filipino flavors in creating some of their drinks.
Have been coming here for a few years off and on and their lattes are still promising to this day, like their Bibinka and their Honey Lavender. What's not promising is they don't always have certain ingredients in stock meaning they can't make certain drinks. It's happened the last two times and I haven't been able to get my original orders, although the drink I end up getting is good anyway. Service is nice every time tho, no complaints. Always a busy shop no matter what time of day I've come
I had high hopes and expectations for this place based on Social media and reviews. Could be a location issue- personally. But I just felt this location was not friendly. Even the customers. By any means do I expect people to offer help when they see someone with a stroller , but if you're going to exit out of the door and proceed to have me hold it for two grown adults, wow. Obviously not a store issue but just the vibe I got started off unpleasant. Now ordering, they had a few items crossed out. No food items, which is fine. But the two behind the counter weren't as welcoming. At most coffee places asking hi how are you, is it your first time here type of thing was not present and I fee that's pretty standard. Anyways, I got an iced babingka latte, it was decent. I feel like when you're happy- the product you produce follows, so based on what I received it matched, it was lacking. To add, they ran out of plastic lids. I have two children going to drive in a car and if you think I'm going to have an open ass iced coffee in my car? Again could be a me problem but like I wouldn't have gotten an iced drink had the barista told me they ran out to order hot instead. So I requested it in a hot cup which he switched it over for me after saying my cup was going to get soggy, which it didn't. I mean I'm not trying to tidbit here but if you're going to have iced coffee , you probably should have lots of back stock. Anyways, could be a bad day or not , either way this location won't have my business again. I would be open to trying the other locations.
Eclectic industrial gothic decor with both communal and aclove booth seating. The high ceilings provide a spacious natural lit room. I enjoyed a season iced mocha. The coffee was smooth and the service was friendly and swift. I definitely want to come back to enjoy the space by reading a book.
I came at about 6:30am and to my luck there was no one inside so I did not have to wait in line. They were out of the drink I wanted so I got a Vietnamese iced coffee instead. It was pretty good. I would like to come back and try the banana drink they were out of. It has some pretty neat seating inside and the service was friendly.
Mostra never misses. They are easily the best coffee shop in San Diego. I've been coming since 2019 and am a huge fan for life. Never enjoyed espresso as much as I did until I had ghost bear! I use any excuse to take my family and friends here. It's just so good. Their service always treats you like family. And vibes are always good. I love studying here and catching up w friends Mostra has been there for pretty major parts of my life and a good amount of my 20s. This place is so dope. The only place that comes close is Bird rock coffee in Torrey pines

Came here after lunch. I was craving something warm and comforting. And I needed a bit of caffeine! I ordered my favorite, the Bibingka Creme Brulee latte... heavenly. While I waited for my order, I went next-door to See's candy. I was craving fudge. I returned about 2 to 3 minutes after my order and my order was ready. The service was great... It was fast and the lady was really friendly. Inside it's very dark & moody vibes, still good natural light where you can work and study from. I just wish they brought back the Turon crème brûlée latte. read more

Went here on a Friday morning at 10am. Out of 7 drinks I wanted to try, they were out of all but one of the drinks. The overall experience (staff, variety/availability, drink quality) was incredibly disappointing because I hear great things about this place. There were quite a bit of people in there, so I'm sure it's great at times. Settling for the Vietnamese Iced Coffee as 1 of our 2 drinks, sadly it was mostly ice. The drink was done in a few sips. It felt like the cup was filled with ice and then put the coffee in. Don't get me wrong, the drink was good and the coffee was strong. The other drink was the Creme Brulee Latte. If you like the sugar un-bruleed, this is the drink for you. I saw the top was torched for a few seconds, but the drink was still in the tiny sugar crystals. The coffee part is also nice and strong, though the drink is not as sweet as it sounds. Overall, lack-luster and expensive for the $7.60 - Large. read more
Years since I been back. Got myself a crème brûlée latte and an ice caramel again. This time it was a lot better than. The last time Crème brûlée was my fav of the two. Not too sweeet. Good flavor. Nice vanilla hints. Good drink Caramel latte was good also. Maybe I wanted a bit more caramel flavor but it was a good drink overall. Loved the aesthetic of the shop. Service was good. BLUEBERRY MATCHA LATTE 10/10!!!! I had it iced with oat milk and OMG had the best combination and balance of flavor. I asked the barista if what he thought of it and he said he liked it. He made it really fast and it was beyond delicious than expected. Would get again read more
Honestly kinda disappointed in this place. I was visiting SD and found this place on Yelp and was super excited to try it. Minimal inside and outside seating. Parking was difficult as there is construction going on in that area and after parking and walking in the staff wasn't very friendly. The drinks were made quickly but no one greeted us or asked if we had any questions since we were all looking at the menu. The drinks were okay, nothing amazing to rave about so pretty disappointed in my overall experience here. I don't think it'd be worth to go out of your way for this place and probably would choose something else when I'm in the area. read more

This location has a beautiful interior with a set of inlaid booths that really make the place stand out. Order your drink and snap a picture here as they certainly are picture worthy. The coffee here is excellent as well. Mostra offers a variety of options that I haven't seen from others. They have blueberry flavors as well as coconut cold brew. The coffee is a standout and I would come again and again for it. Service-wise, because they are so busy, the folks there seem to try to crank everything out as quickly as possible. My friend who came with me ordered a drink and was made something completely different. Of course, Mostra made it again correctly for him, but it was a little bit of an inconvenience - especially if you are in a hurry. read more

I was drawn to this coffee shop after seeing the unique southeast asian inspired drinks. However, all the unique drinks I wanted to try were out of stock! They were out of matcha, turon, choconana, and bibingkinita. I opted for the honey lavender latte and my friend got the campfire latte. I could tell they used a good quality honey, and I liked how the campfire latte tasted like an elevated and deeper chocolate milk. The interior had cozy and chill vibes, and it was connected to the lobby of an apartment building. The barista was nice and made our drinks quickly! read more
I was staying at a hotel nearby and ordered delivery in the morning from Mostra. I got a blueberry pancake latte and an everything bagel with cream cheese. I really like the latte which was smooth and had a nice blueberry flavor without tasting too artificial. I was also able to select less sweet on UberEats which is a huge plus as I don't like my lattes too syrupy. The bagel was a bit of a letdown as it wasn't toasted (the bagel itself wasn't cold, more room temp but I wish it was toasted) but it was good enough. I'll need to visit the store to try the creme brulee specials next time! read more

One of my favorite places to go to when it comes to getting coffee or tea! Parking can sometimes be a bit tough here so keep that in mind. And I feel like every time I come here, the line is always pretty long but it just means it's that good. The seating here can be a bit limited so just keep that in mind. But everyone here is quite friendly and provides good service. The coffee (especially the lattes) and teas are really good too. I tried their new ham and cheese croissant sandwich and that was absolutely good too. I'd recommend coming here if you want some really good coffee. Prices can be slightly high but I think it's worth the price - you won't be disappointed! If I lived closer, I'd be more of a regular to visit here and even work here if I could. Here's hoping that they will open more up in the north area! read more

Got one of their specialty creme brulee lattees and it was absolutely delicious! They burn the sugar on top and their 12 oz is 2 shots and 16 oz is 4 shots (they only do double shot pours, which is awesome). They don't have a huge menu but offer the classic espresso/coffee/tea drinks along with some great speciality drinks. It's a little pricer than Starbucks but the quality is also a bit better. read more
Stopped by here for a quick coffee with my sister. We tried the ube creme brulee latte and the blueberry matcha. There was a line but service was fast and it went by quick. The place wasn't that big but it was cozy inside. I love the little nooks on the side as the seating area. The coffee tastes good! It was a bit on the sweeter side, and I also prefer my coffee stronger. The blueberry matcha is 4/5. read more
I've been to two other Mostra locations and was really excited to visit this one and finally try their crème brûlée latte. Unfortunately, they were all sold out of the turon and bibingka so I opted for just a regular crème brûlée latte. I was pretty disappointed about that because I was really looking forward to it and it was only 2pm on a Saturday. Seating was very open when we arrived, but got filled quickly. I didn't really like my drink, which was surprising because I've tried 4 other items here and I loved all of them. Maybe the crème brûlée too wasn't torched enough, but I was really off put by the crunchy sugar granules that were not melted. Don't think crème brûlée is supposed to be like that :/ Everything else I've tried in the past is bomb though so I'll treat it as an off-day and still give the overall experience a 4/5. read more

This was my first time at Mostra and the cashier/barista was so helpful! I had trouble deciding but after asking her a few questions I decided on the Creme Brulee Top w/ Ube Latte. She let me know that if it wasn't sweet enough (I opted for less sweet) that they were happy to redo the drink to my liking. Excellent service! I am not normally a coffee fan but this Ube Latte was amazing. I love creme brulee as well and this combination was delicious. So glad I tried this place out! read more

The lattes here are so unique and refreshing. Got the blueberry pancake latte and the salted caramel latte. The flavor profile is more on the sweeter side, and not much coffee flavor were present in either of these lattes. Blueberry pancake latte tasted just like blueberry pancakes and the salted caramel wasn't too caramelly and overpowering. Cafe wasn't so busy, it took less than 10 minutes for the drinks to be prepared. The place looks pretty cozy and the perfect place to study. Interior is a bit worn down but the service was quick and friendly. Asked the barista what their most popular (sweet) drinks were and we got the latter. read more
I enjoy coming here when I am in the area coz of their unique coffees. I always get the Turon Latte coz I love me some banana milk. I must admit, there is a change in not only the atmosphere but also the coffee itself. Can't pinpoint but I'm hoping it's a one off and when I come back, it will be the same again. read more

I go there often and have seen them to be available everyday !!! They seem to run low later in the day though .
