Every time we come to the area we have to stop here at least once or twice for the delicious Cuban sandwich and black beans and rice. We love this place

The cafe is owned by a husband and wife who are some of the most people I've met. The restaurant is clean and bright. Service is quick and friendly. The food is super yummy and fresh! The husband makes an awesome tres leche cake, pina colada, and flan. And of course you have to get the cafe con leche. Check it out you won't be disappointed!

If you are looking for a place that has solid food and no frills, this would be the spot. It's kind of plain inside, but the food and service are good. We stopped in for lunch the other day, I ordered the greek salad with grilled chicken, and my friend had the burrito bowl. Both items were fresh and had a good flavor, a solid meal, nothing fancy. The feta was mild the way I like it, and the potato salad didn't have a ton of mayonnaise. Perfect for what i was craving. Great lunch spot

Cuban with pasta salad side Chicken tacos w/ red beans and rice and Maduros

This was an amazing experience, a true hidden gem. From the very first bite, we knew we would love this place. The Cuban was the best I've ever had. Maduros (sweet plantains) were perfect as well. The pulled chicken soft tacos were great & the fresh homemade salsa was amazing. We willl definitely be back soon! We want to try one of the many desserts; tiramisu, flan, cheesecake and the one I'm looking forward to is the guava cheesecake.

We found this little gem several years ago when they were on St Pete Beach... when we came down for vacation this year we were sad to see it closed in St Pete but relieved after we googled it to see they had moved about 25 mins away to Seminole, FL. This place is soo Good The sandwiches are fresh and flavorful and best rice and beans! Very reasonable pricing and staff is so friendly. HIGHLY RECOMMEND

This is the tasty side salad that accompanies the mojo pork dish entree.

I challenge you to find a better Cuban restaurant in the Tampa Bay area than Barracuda Deli Cafe on Seminole Blvd! All the food is absolutely mouthwateringly delicious! It is nearly impossible to stop yourself from overeating because you really want to finish everything on your plate! The service is delivered by an authentic and adorable abuela adorned with a simple hairnet, smiling eyes, and a gentle grin! The mojo pork is so tender, moist, and flavorful and accompanied perfectly with lightly grilled onions. The yellow rice is nicely seasoned and so comforting when topped with your choice of red or black beans! The toasted cuban bread offers a pleasant textural crunch! And the side salad with its homemade vinaigrette brings a bit of freshness and acidity to the meal! Please, try this place! You will not regret it! Also, they have perfectly sweetened sweet iced tea! Five stars all around!

    The Best Cuban

I went to a previous location before covid, tried going and tracked down this location because it is the best Cuban sandwich. Everyone is very friendly and service was excellent. And for $12 you have sandwich to take home for another meal. The combination of flavors just make it a superior sandwich to many chain restaurants around St Pete. The fries were crispy and with the hot sauce were delicious. This is my favorite restaurant when I come to town.

    Chicken Enchiladas yum!
    Shauna S.

My my my. The solid 5 stars brought us in but the food and family will be bringing us back. There isn't much to add here that everyone else hasn't already said. We had chicken enchiladas and mojo pork and it was just perfection. I've never had such juicy tender chicken inside an enchilada before. Super fresh crisp veggies in the pico, the salad, inside the enchilada. Who does that? And the rice. Make that The Rice. I had black beans, hubby had red. Both were delicious but THE RICE was so flavorful it was literally the best either of us have ever had. The homemade flan was amazing - mama told us the secret is lemon zest. The family running the place is sweet and friendly you just couldn't ask for a more pleasant experience. One small tip - there are some older reviews and pix showing breakfast but alas that is no more. Barracuda is open for lunch and dinner. They announce their Friday night specials on Facebook.

My brother who lives there swore by this spot, and the second I walked into Mi Carreta, I knew he wasn't exaggerating. The Bandeja Paisa? Absolute perfection. We're talking perfectly grilled steak, a runny fried egg, sweet plantains, creamy red beans, fluffy white rice, fresh avocado, crispy chicharrón, and grilled chorizo--all on one glorious platter. I attacked it so fast I didn't even snap a photo, but trust me, that plate is burned into my memory forever. As if the food wasn't enough, the TV above the counter was showing the World Cup group draw live. We found out who Colombia is facing right there over lunch--talk about perfect timing! The whole place was buzzing. For the grand finale, we grabbed a few Colombian donuts (buñuelos and pandebonos) to go. Sweet, cheesy, impossible to eat just one. The food remains solid. We enjoyed the mahi mahi, the thin steak, and the Cuban sandwich. Plus, we also once again ordered the mojito pitcher. Suggest valet for $6 or a couple of trips around the lot to find a spot. We sat outside, which was enclosed and heated and your are right on the water. Super cool and great views. We started off with the toasted bread and butter and the devil crab croquet. Not a fan - full of crab but the flavors didn't sit well and really needed some type of sauce to pair with it - we only had hot sauce. The original salad - is a must we shared it across four. It's made table side has cheese and olives in it and was really good. We got ours with a side of shrimp. Main courses - Cuban - it's a classic sandwhich which we shared. Comes with fried plantains which were ok. Again would have been better with some kind of sauce to dip it in. Steak Salteado - good flavor l, was expecting thin sliced steak and it was more like stew meat. Paired with rice and was good. Palomilla - would be better as the sandwhich version. Again this one needed a sauce for dipping. Shrimp "Al Ajillo" - this is a must and the oil garlic mix is perfect for dipping you toasted bread.
