So we drove from the elk Grove area all the way out to Rockland to visit the store for the first time and we were not disappointed. Incredibly clean and well laid out store. The tanks are well-maintained and not overcrowded. Lots of ample parking and two of the nice gentlemen were working the day that we visited. My mom and I each purchased some fish and I purchased some decor. We were already super thrilled with this store when the unthinkable happened my mom I noticed looked like she was crying and when I ask her what was wrong I heard her blood sugar monitor go off. It was below 50 the picture you see was taken after the doughnut one of the gentleman at this location saw my mom was in peril and quickly acted and had the other gentleman working in the store bring up his snack bag of powdered sugar donuts, which saved the day I was able to get my mom back on track and some real food in her afterwards, but these guys definitely go above and beyond firstly with an amazing store and secondly with generosity thank you folks so much. We will definitely be going back to the store, even though it's well out of our way it's nice to support businesses who support their community and strangers, especially in a time of need.

Tyler has been…read moretaking care of my pond for 3-4 years, coming every 3 months or so to work his magic--cleaning it, checking the motor and the UV light, diagnosing problems, recommending what equipment I need to maintain it (always sending me the appropriate links), and generally looking after the pond as though it were his first cousin. Tyler is so reliable--he was always punctual and never missed a scheduled visit. He quickly diagnosed and fixed 2 (maybe 3?) pond emergencies (heavy-duty overflows due to rain or other factors), coming over within a few hours of my frantic messages that the pond was overflowing into my yard, the neighbors yard and the sidewalk. He is talented, responsible, intelligent (every diagnosis he made when things weren't working perfectly was correct), friendly, reliable, and affordable. The best way to describe this store is like going to a museum. No cats, dogs, or other pets for sale. They do have rats, mice and crickets for feeding purposes. If you are looking for fish, lobster, turtle, you came to the right place. A warehouse full of any type of fish you could possibly want. I do want to address the mention of sick fish. I've bought fish from other stores and yes, they died 3 days later. I really like the idea of a quarantine tank, especially if your going to introduce it to an established habitat. This is not a discount store so expect to pay a bit more for high quality brand name tanks, food, fish, and supplies. All the employees are friendly and willing to answer questions. The store is kept very clean and the wall murals are really nice. A lot of effort goes into maintaining this store and well worth visiting if in the Sacramento area.
