We had 3 appetizers and they were all delicious! Each of our meals were fantastic!!! Would definitely recommend!!!

It's a nice remodel. Place is more open and bright. Definitely a better vibe than its predecessor. For a new restaurant in Bloomington at 11:45 AM on a Saturday, it was absolutely dead. Server was ok. The food is the reason for the low rating. 15.50 for a portobello burger. There were two tiny pieces of portobello on the burger. No lettuce, tomato, onion on the side. The bun was so huge in comparison to the burger. Where's the beef? And the burger was dried out. Fries were good, but the fries should not be the highlight of a meal. The soda had no carbonation. They didn't fix the soda issue until later into our meal. Drank less than half the soda. Still paid full price for it. Better up their game if they expect to make it. read more

Not a bad place if you want to relax and grab some grub. The beer selection is decent, and the food is getting better with the visit. The service is excellent, and the bartenders are attentive to the patron's needs. The three stars are for them closing early during Monday night football. There were 15 people enjoying drinks and food and watching Monday Night Football when the last call was called at approximately 8:45 pm to close the bar early. This was the second week this has happened on a Monday to close early. This is a quick way to deter business for a newer restaurant. read more

My wife mentioned she'd seen an ad and since I'm keen on trying new places in the twin cities, I jumped to their website and read the menu. Truthfully, It was hard to decide because it all looked delicious. Ended up ordering a Reuben Pizza delivered. It was a short wait for it to show up at our doorstep and when we opened the box, the smell of all that crust, corned beef, kraut and dressing had us eager for the first bite. Hot and tasty, cut Chicago style without having to ask...it was perfect. Can't wait to try one of their wraps next. If you're on the fence, jump off and dive in because you won't regret it one bit. Prices are pretty steep. Most burgers are just under $20. The Cuban tacos were disappointing. Tasted like bland, boiled chicken in flour tortillas. The French fries were delicious, however. The fried mushroom appetizer was stellar! I should've ordered it as a meal. Our waiter, Christian, was professional and patient with our group. We were just in Bloomington for a short visit. Stopped to have lunch. Very nice menu selection. I had chicken avocado sandwich with waffle sweet potato fries - chicken was moist and waffle fries were great. My husband had a spicy shrimp salad, which he said was very good as well. What a fantastic transformation from the previous restaurant, inside and out! Open concept, fresh and new. Staff was so friendly and went above and beyond in even recognizing me from community events I have been involved in. The food (I had a wrap, my guest had a burger) came out correct, just as ordered, quick and kept me right on time for my lunch break timeframe. The only good thing I can say from my experience here is that the waitresses are super friendly and helpful. As far as the food here, not so great. Worst $30 pizza you'll ever have. Crust tastes like cardboard (literally) and they don't know that you're supposed to actually let the pizza brown a little before pulling it out of the oven. So if you're thinking about getting a pizza here, just pull $30 out of your wallet, and throw it out the window ....same thing. Hope this helps. read more

Staying at the hotel next door, decided to give this place a shot. Ordered a pizza with 3 toppings. It was almost $30. It tastes exactly, I mean exactly like a DiGiorno's from the grocery store...even the cardboard flavor. Not to mention it's cold, and not cooked all the way. It looks NOTHING like the pics on the menu. I'm thoroughly disappointed. I paid $4 per topping and only got 19 little pieces of sausage on it (and yes, I counted because it would be like 1/4 of a cups worth)!!! Pretzel app was GOOD. Sides were all very yummy. The swiss mushroom burger which costs $15.50 was very disappointing. Small and not much meat or toppings. Sad dinner for so much money. read more

A group of us were in town for a tennis tournament and this restaurant was connected to our DoubleTree hotel. Ate there twice and both times the first was very good. But the best was our service. Exceptional staff! Very friendly, on top of everything and made it enjoyable for all of us. No problem with special requests and always happy to accommodate! If we make it back to sectionals next year, we will be back! read more

Service was poor at best. Sat at the bar, three bartenders. Waited twenty minutes to even get noticed and then got a subpar beverage. Another fifteen minutes for even an inquiry about if I would be interested in anything. Food was decent, nothing spectacular. Chrystian was our server and was very polite, professional, and entertaining. I expected a lot more beers to be on tap and a larger selection too, hence the name. However, it's a new establishment and all of Bloomington/Normal has to check it out! LOL! Food was good, not great, but the jalapeño dip was yummy. Attended a 5 day conference at the Doubletree in Bloomington. Barrel House Pub is attached to the hotel, so very convenient. Actually went three times over the stay. The mushroom swiss burger had good flavor; was a bit overdone (asked for med rare). Fries were very good. Tried the "kids" quesadilla for a light/late dinner. Flavors and portion size was good but I should have asked for salsa on the side. Side of fruit was a little disappointing -- canned fruit cocktail? Grabbed lunch before leaving town and had the pulled pork sandwich. It was very good and not dripping in sauce which was perfect. Tasty sauce as well and again, the fries were great. The restaurant looks great, service was wonderful, and their wine pour was very generous as well. Looking forward to being back in Bloomington soon -- and will be stopping in! read more
