I was impressed with our first visit. We came to hear a friend's band and it was surprisingly larger than I expected which was nice. Plenty of room for tables and chairs AND a dance space. Decent tap options, a few non-gluten based options which is always nice. They had a cider, hard kombucha, and wine which is always nice to have choices like everyone else. Sometimes not drinking beer at a club or bar can be tough, so this was a nice change. They have fun decor in the front space that had a nice lounge vibe. The wine barrel tables all had vintage candy dispensers and toys under the glass tops, fun touch. They serve fresh popcorn throughout the night and lemon water. Nice touches to round out the experience overall.

Another night of fun at The Bullet Proof Lounge featuring Mac Mall! Town Bizness came to Sonoma County #TheYayArea in the building

Their BS sign to close for a private event after accepting reservations!!

We drove an hour to get here. I made reservations on event bright. Since we came early we went across the street for a beer. They were supposed to open at 2 pm. They literally put up a sign after 1pm that they were closing for a private event. NEVER COMING BACK !!!!

Sangria and IPA

Last minute invite to see a live band. Never been here before. Kind of a cool venue. Good music and enjoyed a sangria with friends.

I made a reservation for 6pm on the deck as it had seatbacks and my husband has a bad back and can't sit on a picnic table. It's an elevated section above the beer garden, which that night had a singer with guitar. Service was pleasant though a little slow with drinks but they were pretty busy. We both had margaritas to start, which were $16 plus $3 for call brand so $19 each. Pretty good but not too strong. I then had the Hopmunk hefewisen beer which was only $8, much more reasonable. I had the Biergarten cheeseburger on a pretzel bun, cooked perfectly medium rare. Served with caramelized onions, bacon, smoked Gouda and a beer cheese, it was tasty but pretty messy! Cost was $23 plus I subbed a kale Caesar for $2 which was good but not worth the hype as a little dry. Husband had the grilled mole chicken with mole sauce and Spanish rice for $24. It was a large portion with two pieces of chicken and he enjoyed it. We then saw a show in the stone tavern next to the beer garden. It's an intimate venue with not a bad view in the house. We had seats because my husband is disabled so we're right in the front row. Otherwise it was standing only. Great acoustics and venue. I would go there often if I lived in Sebastopol, as it's right near the Barlow and downtown. Definitely recommend for food, entertainment and atmosphere.

The outdoor space is huge and definitely the highlight -- great place to hang out for a long lunch or drinks. Service was attentive and everything came out quickly. We ordered the burgers, wings, and pickle fries. The burgers were massive, though a little dry even with all the sauces loaded on. The wings, however, were excellent and easily the best thing we ordered. The pickle fries were the miss for me -- house made, which sounded promising, but there was barely any actual pickle inside. I'd skip those next time and just double down on the wings.

But any who..... The first time I came to this ballroom was on 09/09/18 to see country singer Martina McBride. The show was great, there were plenty of seats for everyone (all assigned seating, though there was a country singer recently where it was a standing room only show), they had 2 large screens on either side of the stage so everyone could see, well most everyone. Unfortunately when people wear cowboy hats throughout the entire concert & move around a lot they block other peoples views. Oh what joy. They also had drink stations set up in the hallway before entering the ballroom as well as 1 in the back of the ballroom. At these drink stations you could purchase alcoholic drinks or get a complimentary bottle of water. These were the small bottles that they provide patrons out in the casino who are gambling. Fast forward to Friday July 19, 2019 & I'm here once again with a friend & fellow Yelper, Rebecca C., to see actor/comedian Ken Jeong! This time there were more drink stations throughout the hallway before entering the ball room, which is great because then you're not waiting in line when the show starts. It has the same stage set up so you can see everything. All seats were assigned seating. The show was great! I never laughed so hard in my life! There's plenty of parking as it's a huge parking lot for the casino as well as the restaurants inside. There is an entrance to the ballroom in the back that could be utilized to help keep you in a smoke free environment however they make you enter through the front of the casino & walk through the casino to the back. So for those of you who don't care for cigarette smells or those who are allergic to cigarette smoke, all I can say is hold your breath & run fast. The Ballroom is a great venue for live shows whether it be a concert or a comedian as it's not overly large but still holds a fair amount of people (approximately 1200 seats), yet intimate enough to make you feel like you've invited several hundred of your friends to enjoy a show. If you see a performance that you'd like to attend don't hesitate on purchasing a ticket because no matter what type of show it is they seem to sell out fast.

When we first arrived, I joked to my friend while we were ordering, "First round is on you because of tickets, remember?" - no big deal. We ordered a few (honestly, pretty mediocre) drinks, sat down, and enjoyed a great cover band that played music I grew up with. The atmosphere was fun, people were dancing, and we met and chatted with a few friendly folks near the bar and nearby tables. Most people were definitely buzzed, some outright drunk. It's a 21+ event, after all. It was a fun time. The problem? I was ''cut off'' after only 2.5 drinks, as one had accidentally spilled. When I went to order another after dancing with a friend, I raised my hand in a silly, playful way and smiled while ordering. Apparently, that was enough for the bartender, an older white woman (Ellen, I believe her name was), to decide I'd had "too much." She seemed to think other people were buying me drinks, which wasn't true, only my husband and friend did. She could have easily confirmed that with me or with whoever she thought was buying the drinks, but instead, she relied solely on her own incorrect judgment. I was definitely not drunk or behaving inappropriately. Meanwhile, there were people around us who were visibly intoxicated; slurring, stumbling, and clearly having a good time. They kept getting served without issue. One particularly drunk man made one of my friends uncomfortable, yet nothing was said to him. The difference? He was an older white guy, while I am a person of color. What really got me was when a bouncer pulled me aside to check my ID AFTER I had already been at the event for hours. I had walked past him multiple times that night, as I had gone to the bathroom or just stepped outside with friends. I wasn't carded when I first entered, and clearly my age had not been an issue until that moment - because you know, It was a ticketed 21+ event. I had, as stated above, even ordered a drink when we first arrived. Being told I'd be kicked out if I was seen with another drink, despite being calm, respectful, and coherent, felt humiliating and unfair. No one else was pulled aside, yet anyone with eyes witnessed plenty of people who were clearly less than sober, if you know what I mean. I understand the importance of responsible alcohol service, but the inconsistency and bias in how it was enforced here was obvious. It is disappointing when a place that's supposed to be about fun and music lets staff's assumptions ruin someone's night. It felt less like "safety" and more like a snap judgment and doubling down on an assumption.

Also on the weekends they've been known to have sone nice music accompanying the pretty lounge. The cocktails are average price, and tasty and there is an upscale vibe. If they improve the food and the comfort of the high top seat backs which are very low, I'd give a couple more stars. There's a menu that looks interesting and affordable with an Asian flair... but that's where the disappointment starts for me. It's lopsided with deep-fried, more protein, vs veggies, & plenty starchy items! We tried the panko crusted sliders, which we should have known meant the beef paddies would be deep fried. It was actually filling, but tasteless. It needed some onion or garlic aioli, slices of juicy tomato or something! We also got the chicken wings; again deep fried and in a sticky sweet Asian sauce that was tasty but very sweet. I did not try mains as they were on pricy side. We sat at the bar where service is ok, and better the more you order type of vibe.
