Honest service and advice, very fair pricing and fast accommodations. I have saved so much time and money using this garage. Several times I had the dealer hand me a $2000+ list of things I needed to do only to find out a third were not needed and the rest were double the price. As I wait for my car during services I constantly see panicked walk-ins that are taken last minute or hear calls that they agree to take same or next day. The only problem I have ever had in the past was they were always so busy it would be hard to get them on the phone. The employees were handling phones and the car work. Rude employees that yell at customers about their personal issues (specifically an employee in a denim vest, with gauged ears, multiple tattoos, and a mustache) -ignores appointment notes and disregards requested services -doesn't call you to inform of completed services -occasionally forgets to complete agreed upon services on the scheduled date; necessitating leaving your car for extended periods, or coming back on a different occasion. -claims to offer free annual inspection to autoclub members, but does not honor this offer. -claims to offer yearly coupons via email, but does not honor this. -poorly coordinated parking lot that isn't equipped to handle the amount of vehicles that are being accepted into this facility at any one time. Customers are blamed for not better navigating a literal one-way maze. Used to go here out of loyalty from years of previous service, but will now be searching for a new mechanic after multiple consecutive negative experiences. I would leave a lower score if I could. I brought my Camry in on March 25 and had brake work done. They had my car for almost a week with no calls or updates. When I finally got my car back I then had to go back on May 1 since the brakes were grinding and shaking. Don't take your car here!! They will rip you off! I took my husbands car there to get a oil change and I asked them to check my husbands car out also because it was squeaking! They come to me and say he needs all 4 calibers and all 4 brakes and 2 filters charging me $570.00 I had a feeling they were bogus so I took it to a friend who was available the next day and diagnosed it with just needing 2 front brakes!!! The mechanics here are excellent hard working and when it comes down to it they know there stuff the price you can't beat and I am aware they have more than one shop I'd bring any of my vehicles to the shops no problem. I got my brakes replaced there about a week ago for $670, for an AMERICAN CAR. I went to get new tires somewhere else, and apparently the brake line was severed. They denied seeing it broken at all, despite me only driving it once. Another occasion, my dash lights weren't working, so they fixed that for $260, and they turned right back off the next day, resulting in me getting a ticket, and then fixed it for me again for a $78 charge. I brought my 9 year old vehicle here for a second opinion after receiving a list of extremely expensive repairs that were recommended by my Nissan dealer. Josh got me an appointment right away and the whole thing took less than an hour. He was professional and honest and explained things to me in a clear and straightforward manner without being condescending. They found that only one of the repairs that Nissan recommended was legitimate, reassured me that it wasn't something that was an urgent need nor was it a safety issue, and gave me a sense of how much longer I could expect to continue driving the car before it would be truly necessary to repair. This was all after I had made it clear that I was willing to have the repairs done at his shop (which he also told me he could do for far less money than the dealer), so he could absolutely have gotten away with telling me they were necessary, but he didn't, and for that I am extremely impressed and grateful. After all of that, he didn't even charge me for the time he took to look over everything! I can't say enough good things about Barrington Automotive and I will absolutely be bringing my car back here again. read more
