I dropped of my car for a routine inspection in the morning and was told it would be ready by early afternoon to pick up. I got a call at the end of the day and was told the car was ready and that they closed in 15 minutes. I'm not very happy with the communication but everything else was alright. I usually do them myself and use only the best rotors and pads but now with a stone driveway it's too much work. I would recommend staying away from this shop. I took my Jeep Wrangler a few years back to this place. They where doing my rear brakes. When I picked my vehicle up and drove home I realized the the bracket that holds the brake caliper on was rubbing on my rim. Apparently when installing the bracket back in, the mechanic only used one of the bolts not two that usually is used. The owner (not sure if it's the son or father) after I called had my Jeep towed back to their shop. My car was there for two more days. I received a call saying they couldn't find the bolt they would order a whole new part just for that bolt. I assumed that he meant the whole bracket. Well I just replaced my rear brakes and when going to take the bolts off on that same side my socket didn't fit. When I got the bolt off. I was irritated to see that he didn't put the bolt that was usually but something else. I don't think they "ordered" that part. Totally different bolt. So I would never go back and would caution people when bringing their vehicles there read more

I've used them for a long time and they'd never steered me wrong Iv taking my nieces when they were looking for a used car to have them check it out they looked at four cars never charge me just gave me their opinion of what was true just brought my car to them for inspection told me I may need upper ball joints do to the movement in the front end I know I needed to change struts when I brought my car I to him told mike to do the upper ball joints and do the job on the struts at least about 1200 plus dollar job after they had the car in there he suggested only doing the struts no need for the ball joints good five or six hundred dollars that he could have just added to the ticket that's integrity and honesty that type of person that you want to deal with on an everyday basis I give 5 stars and my trust read more

Needed to have my radiator replaced in my 2011 Jetta. Typically when you do a radiator, you do the upper and lower hoses too - at least the lower hose. I told them that I wanted to replace the hoses too, but I didn't want to pay $140 for a $40 hose. (The same hose that's $40 at Autozone is $149 at O'Reilly's.) They said the hoses don't need to be replaced. Fortunately not because because they do a 250% mark up on prices! List prices for radiators cost between $70-150. They charged me $378.99 for the radiator alone! It appears that they weren't about saving me money when they said the hoses were fine, they knew I wasn't going to overpay for them. They also put in the wrong anti-freeze. It is highly recommended that you don't use any kind other than the specific Audi/VW G13 or G12 approved antifreeze, as it prevents rust and gasket deterioration. I will not be back and would not recommend this place. read more

A great, friendly, small neighborhood shop I regret I have not discovered earlier. I had an exhaust leak and stopped by to check if they can fix it. It was late afternoon, I left my car there and next morning at 8:30 am Mike called me to pick up the car. It was all set. They placed a sleeve. Amazingly quick, although they looked very busy. Mike Sr. and Mike Jr. are the most honest and reasonable mechanics I have ever been to. My car was leaking oil from the rear axle following a recent $1600+ (supposed) repair by the dealer (Tasca). I returned to Dealer to re-examine the issue and they stated a repair would require replacement of axle and possibly differential at a cost of $2500 or more. No explanation was provided as to why none of this was identified during the initial repair and no discount or consideration was offered to address what was the same issue I'd originally brought the care in for. Mike Jr. took the car and advised before doing the work that he thought the dealer may have overfilled the oil to begin with and that might be causing the leak. He thoroughly cleaned the area, road tested the car and told me to come back in a few weeks if it's still leaking - no charge. I highly recommend Tilden to anyone seeking a second opinion or an option to overpriced and poor dealer service. read more
