We stumbled upon Barrio de Tango while walking around looking for a place to eat. My son was craving steak, and we happened to pass by this hidden gem. I'm so glad we decided to stop in and give it a try! We ordered the rib eye and a grilled veggie platter, and both dishes were excellent. The rib eye was cooked to perfection. My son and husband absolutely loved it and the grilled veggie platter with the garlic confit was delicious. Everything was full of flavor, nice big portions and beautifully prepared. The service was great, and we were pleasantly surprised by how amazing the food was. We weren't sure what to expect at first, but it turned out to be such a wonderful find. We came to this restaurant after a bad food dinner experience at another restaurant and while walking back to the car, saw this restaurant with a lot of people. I had to cajole my daughter to come along as she was upset about the prior restaurant. We had mushrooms with cheese and grilled vegetables. The food and service was good. This place was a surprise, spur of the moment choice suggested by our driver, Ricardo, who became an instant friend and joined us for dinner. All I can say is JUST WOW. There are no words for how much I enjoyed the ribeye and NY, completely different flavor due to the difference in grills, and...when salad is usually just a salad, alongside the meat it was dressed perfectly and worth taking leftover home to nosh later. And the CLARICOT...oh, my goodness...so good...the perfect appetizer, intermezzo and dessert. Magnificent!! read more

While visiting Cabo we asked the resort for recommendations to a very good steak restaurant. We are so pleased we decided to listen to the recommendation. The service was friendly and prompt, the caprese salad was delicious, but the star of the show was the steak. We shared a porterhouse which was plenty for the 2 of us the only complaint was it was very thin. Our friends got the ribeye which was thicker and again the flavor was phenomenal. If you want an awesome steak dinner get away from the resorts and try this place, much more affordable than closer to the resorts. read more

We went to art walk last night and decided to park a few blocks away for ease of finding a spot. To avoid crowds we were very happy to have noticed and ventured over th Barrio de Tango. There were no issues with getting a table and the smells of smoldering rosemary and browning steak fats had us excited as we were seated. Wait staff were excellent and our drinks were delicious and presented with flair. The elote empanadas are a must! Our table had a mix of entrees that were pleasing to our various tastes and the overall experience was enough that it made me want to share this place with anyone looking for a great dinner location, especially on art walk nights. read more

Their meat is juicy and tender and so flavorful even though they don't marinate it at all. My only issue was that my steak I ordered rare and I got medium but regardless it was delicious (I don't blame the doneness of the steak on them too much, we had a pretty big party with a lot of orders so my one rare order got lost in the mediums and well dones). The limonada was absolutely amazing and refreshing. Staff was awesome and super friendly. Our waiter immediately recognized my baseball cap and started naming off players who played when the team wore that particular logo. Great food. Great people. It is off the beaten path (right by the big electrical towers) It really is a locals spot but why should they have all the fun!
