In January, 2026 Barron came out to repair our heating system which they had installed. We were without heat or hot water. This should have been handled as an "emergency" but was not. When a tech came out after 3 days of waiting (it was 30 degrees outside) he claimed he fixed the system and it was "fully operable". It lasted 5 days and went out again. Again they took their time coming out even though we were again within heat or hot water - for going on 10 days. We are in our 80's and this was unacceptable at best. A tech came out but could not fix the heating system - he was not sure what was wrong. My impression was that Barron should be able to repair a system they installed! Long story short - called a different company - they came out - diagnosed a bad heat pump and had the system up and running in 2 days!! Not happy about this kind of service. read more

Warranty items break prematurely and Barrons overcharges for visits to repair ($400 for 30 min visit). Three poor quality items broke within a year. Solar was not hooked up for 6 months and then had faulty connections. This required three repairs and took additional three months. Water heater broke within a year. Don't use their online booking it's useless, used the online booking 3 weeks ago had a date and time, 2 days before appointment they call and say that is not a appointment it's a place holder? What? They called 2 days before to schedule appointment that I made online and they want to schedule appointment 2 more weeks out. They explained it's just a place holder in their que to call you to make a real appointment. They said they are to busy to answer the phone and the online booking is used make place hold to call you back. read more

I was generally happy with their service. It was easy to schedule and the technicians were pleasant and helpful. My displeasure is with that silver shield service. It wasn't explained very well. Silver shield makes you pay in advance. I sold my house and since they didn't perform any service I was expecting a full refund. When I signed up I'm pretty sure I was told it was to cover the cost of future service and give priority service. When I inquired I was told that service provided all these benefits and they pro rated my refund. I recommend the business but would avoid that service membership unless you know you won't move. read more

I called Barron Heating to come out for a second opinion on a new 26W Generac Generator. When Wes came out, I told him how West Mechanical had come out to do a general Maintenance call on my existing Generac 22W. During the Bomb Cyclone our oil cap vibrated loose and popped the cap spewning oil all over. My son-in-law cleaned up the oil, put more oil in and it started right back up. Our 22W has never failed us in 25 years. West Mechanical told us we needed a new generator a 26W to run our whole house. The cost would be over $12,500. My husband is in an Assisted Living Home and I really can't afford a new Generator. Wes from Barron told me in order to get the 26W all the exiting lines would have to be replaced including the transfer switch, which would be additional to the cost of the unit. Now I am about to go into cardiac arrest. Wes said a 24 W switch out with my existing lines would be plenty. Wes went through all the code history. They showed codes for the low oil pressure when the cap blew off and a couple codes for the battery. He suggested getting Banner Electric to come out and go over the unit, which would be well less then the $663.27 West Mechanical charged for the oil change, filter and code check. West Mechanical left us that day with a non-functioning Generator. I already felt taken advantage of with the over $600 Maintenance call and an estimate for a 26W Generator that would never work as a swap out. Wes was professional, honest and told me he didn't want to sell me something I really didn't need. A new battery and careful watch of reading the codes would probably give me more time with my unit. Barrons installed a furnace for us.our furnace needed maintenance and they have a new policy since our installation? No service calls to folks who haven't signed up to be "Gold members"! So evidently they want you (me) To pay a monthly installment or annual fee for the privilege of fixing our furnace they installed. Barron has been my go to for years....until now. Rental property furnace died October 28. Barron came out November 3rd to inspect and claimed the heat exchanger was bad. We paid half the cost right then to expedite the repair. The part needed to be ordered. A week later we had to call to and ask about an update. They said they would call back. Never did. A week later we called again, lady said they didn't have all the parts and she would call when they received them. But we only needed one part. Another week goes by and lady called to schedule appt for December 1. The day of the appt they call and state they don't have the parts. Another week goes by, got the parts, the installer goes to install and tells us he has the wrong parts!!!! Now it is December 15, scheduled for another attempt and Barron calls to say tech is sick. The furnace has been down since October 28, in pieces on the floor (installer's insistance) and the tenant has no resolution. We are requesting our money back and will never call Barron again. read more

After getting no help from a small, more local company to fix our broken air conditioner, Barrons showed up promptly, first to diagnose - that cost exactly what they said it would, and then to fix, which also cost exactly what they said it would. In both cases they showed up when they said, and it took just about as long as they said. Then they checked the system, and replaced the air filter with the spare I had sitting around. We are SO grateful to Barron Heating and Air Conditioning. We are selling our home and our gas fireplace stopped working. We were told by two different companies that we would have to replace it (which would mean tearing out the surround as well). Because of good relations over the years with Jim Akerlund at Barron, we decided to buy our new unit from Barron Heating and made an appmt with their sales team, Shane, Jake, and Ben, to measure for our new fireplace. We stopped by the showroom to take a look at floor models. While there, Jim asked if we would allow his guys to take a look to see if it they thought it could be fixed\. So when they came, I asked them to check it. Sure enough, they were able to get it working!!! They even got on the roof to check the venting and sealed the vent cap for us. What a great team! We are so grateful that we won't have the expense, mess, and delay of replacing the fireplace. We love you, Barron! read more
