We tried, we really, really tried to help this place out in 2020 and into 2021 and again, we've been nothing but disappointed over the past 2-3 months... We order pizza and asked for it to be cooked a little extra for a crunchy crust (since it always comes out droopy and soggy whether thing or traditional crust), no such luck, the pizza comes out and the dough is the majority of the time under cooked - YUCK! As of late, the wings some barely sauced up. The over all quality of the wings have gone down hill, they over crust them and then they get burnt on the edges and they are dried out. Last week, we ordered 24 wings and one box came with 7 wings and the other with 10 so we were ripped off. Called the Manager on duty to advise him and he said he'd give us a credit on our next visit for 12 wings. We returned to get that credit along with a pizza order and the Manager on duty on Sunday night, 4/11/21 came up to the register, didn't acknowledge us and walked away. There was no thank you for coming back, no I'm sorry, nothing! Pretty much the final straw with us giving this place our hard-earned money. We will give Streets of New York ALL of our pizza business and even Mellow Mushroom which is not a favorite but Barros has convinced us that we truly need to go elsewhere for numerous reasons. Oh and you cannot order with 2 different sauces if you order 12 wings, they no longer allow you to order with 2 different sauces unless you order 24 wings, that's great customer service - NOT!!! You want ranch or blue cheese with your wings, be sure they actually give that you, they continually miss the mark on giving you your ONE container of dressing with the wing order. EVERYTIME we go in to pick up our order and right when we put our credit card into the machine, the counter help ALWAYS asked "so, how's your day/evening going?" Apparently they've been programmed to take this time and the only time to be "friendly" so you feel compelled to write in a tip on the receipt as it gets processed. Nice try! This is a solid, cheap pizza place. Got the mega meat pizza, which was overall quite good. I wasn't blown away by the toppings or the crust, but frankly that's fine considering the price and the size of the large. Got an order of the wings as well and they, like the pizza were good but not great. Will be back next time I'm craving a cheap pizza that is near my home. read more

Pizza disappoints ...Trying to give local business support, last two visits were so underwhelming, good service, friendly faces at counter though we live literally 2 minutes away and the pizza was dry, old, and incorrect. We ordered a large cheese pizza which had to have been reheated the last two times, so bad, the vegetarian pizza had pepperoni and ham on it. Why does the cashier not open the boxes when sending pizza with customer...These businesses have to decide quality is the only option and freshness is a must to retain customers business, we also go to streets of New York which is much more expensive though easily worth it compared to this. Finally found a pizza how we like it. Regular crust with great toppings and good sauce. We had the Barros special and an order of bone in wings with hot sauce. Vegas to Phoenix with 7 teens and no potty breaks in 4.5 hours! It was a record breaking moment until two kids broke the silence and confessed they needed to break the seal as they were about to explode! We take this random exit because we see the reflective sign on the freeway notifying tired, hungry, low on fuel travelers of all the services offered at the exit. Anyway, as the kids were heading into McDonald's to relieve themselves, I see "Barro's Pizza" across the parking lot, I make the decision to stay here and order pizza so we can get back on the road and be done with feeding the little beasts! Best decision ever! The Sausage and Mushroom pizza was BOMB! We liked the cheese and the pepperoni pizzas too but the former we preferred best! The crust was tasty and thick with just the right amount of crispness. The drinks were "serve yourself". I took a liking to the Agave cream soda, I'm not usually keen on soda, so it was a treat. Left and called Barrio's on Dove Valley and they saved the party. They met my needs and had the pizzas ready in 30 min, 30 pizzas total. Will always use Barrios for future events. I called in a pick-up order and asked Maggie if they could do a heart shaped pizza for mine and my wife's 7th Anniversary. She was extremely respectful in her response as it being a Friday night, the back kitchen is inundated with a lot of orders, which was completely understandable as a custom heart shaped pizza would be too much during a busy time. I settled on an extra large cheese pizza for my order- no problem at all. When I went to pick up and pay for my pizza, she wished my wife and I a Happy 7th Anniversary. I have not eaten at Barro's in some time as I have one right by my work and just got tired of so-so over-priced pizza. However, my husband enjoys it and convinced me to order. We ordered two medium pizzas for delivery (figured we would have left-overs). When the pizza got here the one I wanted was soggy...I ate it anyway and figured I would not be hungry anymore. My husband on his second piece pulled out a hair that was over a foot long. It was baked into the cheese and vegys. I was grossed out and stopped eating. We have ordered the boneless wings multiple times in the past at other locations and they're delicious, but our most recent order on 2-4-22 was just horrible. I couldn't even cut the wings with my fork they were rubbery and cold. They tasted stale and had hardly any wing sauce. We threw away 9/12 wings we paid for. When my husband picked it up he asked for extra ranch, they charged him for it and we later realized we never received the ranch and celery that was supposed to come with the wings. The pizza was absolutely delicious, but we are definitely disappointed we paid for a product that had to be thrown away. By far one of my favorite pizza places. The food is great, the owners are friendly, and the atmosphere is clean. This new location is setup very similar to others I've been to, so there's a familiarity when walking in the front door. The quality of their food is incredible. On this occasion I tried, for the first time, their 6" Club sandwich. It was almost too much and I almost wish I hadn't ordered boneless wings as well. Almost. Can't leave out their pizza. We have eaten here, had takeout and delivery at least 2-3 times a month. My father in law came to visit for a few days and loved it so much he ate here twice during that time. Barro's is consistent in their making of pizza and wings. I've also ordered the salads, pasta and sandwiches. The pizza and wings by far are their best. The pasta and salads are very big and sandwiches normal sized. We always eat up all the pizza and wings and love the thin crust and extra crispy traditional wings with any of the sauces. They have very good lunch specials by the slice too. We've tested out a few other places and what I know for sure is Barros travels well when you are bringing it home, which is a pretty big deal for takeout pizza. I have found that delivery is very fast too. I ordered on the app once and it said 50-60 minutes, but within 15 minutes our pizza was at our door. I have yet to figure out how that was possible, but we were very happy. We will continue to order from them. read more

This has been our go to pizza place since we moved here about six weeks ago. Their pizza is great and very quick to fire your order. We live off of Dove Valley and we have never waited more than 20 min for a pizza order for pickup. The staff has always been friendly and gotten our order right. We have been here a few times, mostly for a fast convenient meal that everyone will eat. The food isn't great, kids like the pizza but it's salty and cheap tasting to me. The last time we came here was a really bad experience. I walked in and got in line behind the single person placing an order, not realizing there were 3 cashiers total. One was just standing there and the other was unavailable and waiting for change. I waited a couple of minutes when a couple walked in and went around me to the other cashier and started placing their order. I realized this cashier was available then (I thought she was just answering phones, so I didn't go over to her and she never told me she was open or called me over, despite seeing me waiting in line). I said something and was ignored. The other cashier made sure to tell me she's not taking customers. She was waiting for money. All these people in the front, even more in the back in the kitchen, and no one can work. It's almost laughable. When it was my turn to order, a kid ran in front of me and asked for a water cup and they actually walked the other way to get him a cup instead of telling him I was next! After they let someone cut me in line! Not a great start; we were in a rush and I'm already waiting almost 10 minutes just to order!!! Finally we order. One single large pizza thin crust. That's it. We were sitting and waiting over 20 minutes. Probably closer to 25. There were three tables in there, not busy! I went up to ask about our pizza. Told 7 more minutes. At 8 more minutes we still didn't get our pizza and I went back up to ask again. A few minutes later it came out. No apologies. We ended up being late to our appt because we waited almost 40 minutes for a thin crust pizza in an empty restaurant with probably 10 teenagers "working." Any decent restaurant would offer a drink or a dessert. SOMETHING! Very poorly run place with bad food and worse customer service. Get some adults in here to oversee this disaster, please! read more

As far as pizza goes, this isn't the best I've had, but it's not the worst either. Ordered takeout for a quick weeknight dinner and it got the job done. The Barros Special had a decent amount of toppings, but according to my dad, who had been coming here since they opened, they've actually started cutting back on the toppings in recent months. So that's a bummer. The pizza was definitely on the saltier side, so much so that after one slice I was done. Phone service was quick and friendly, hardly any hold time - maybe 1-2 minutes. The prices here are on par with competitors like Domino's. Overall it's a decent chain pizza joint, just not my personal preference in terms of taste. Will update if and when I go inside. read more

The pizza is good and the staff is friendly; however, don't count on them honoring their 2 large 1 topping pizza special. I've tried ordering it 3 times in the past using their phone app or website and never get the special. It's always higher when the charge goes through. I consider it false advertising and misleading. Tonight I ordered over the phone and specifically asked for the $20.99 deal. If I get charged more, it will be my last time ordering from them. Good pizza yes, but if you offer a special, you need to honor it. If you can't, I won't honor you with my business. Thanks for the reply about ordering to get a deal. I've tried your button online and it appears to be a dead link. Doesn't show up in your phone app either. I'd check your site hyperlinks and perhaps add your deals section to your phone app. The only way I've been able to get the deal is to phone in an order. FYI: I've used a computer Google Chrome browser and Apple Safari browser and found the deals link to go nowhere, I haven't tried Internet Explorer. I really love your pizza, but not having the deals work without calling should be a simple fix. Disappointed as we were excited that a barros was opening up across the street. Today was our first time ordering from this location and probably the last. I asked for light cheese got what looks like 2x the extra cheese and when the girl at the counter asked the manager he quickly looked and said yeah thats light cheese. Pellet(The kind you use in a pellet gun) on top of the pizza. Was not baked in. We had three extra large pizzas delivered from Barro's and the meat lovers had the pellet on it. Not a good experience!!!! They replaced the pizza that had the pellet on it but still. I can't even imagine what could have happened if we did not see it and bit into the pizza. read more

Update: spoke with Chris at the location and he called and made things right. Glad there are companies still out there that care about their customers. Probably the worst experience I've had at barros. I had my wife and two kids in the car waiting for the pizza while I was inside getting it. They said it would be 5 minutes to wait on 3 slices of pepperoni. 5 mins turned into 25 mins and then I noticed once the pepperoni came out they started giving them to the people who just came in. I told the girl that I was waiting on pepperoni and she only had 2 slices left after the other girl gave it away to everyone else that just came in. She asked if I wanted to wait for more to come out...I replied I've already been waiting 25 mins so I left with what they had ready and not my original order. We frequent the Dove Valley Barrows because it's our favorite:) on my most recent trip I ordered my complicated pizza over the phone. When I showed up and she read my order back to me i realized that somewhere a miscommunication lead to the order being wrong. It very well could've been my fault but regardless They were very accommodating and apologetic. They did multiple things to make up for the inconvenience and pushed my order to front to make sure that I got it right away. By far thee worst Barro's pizza. Before this location opened our delivery came from Agua Fria, never had an issue. Every time we order there is an issue. Either the staff on the phone is rude (today it was Beverly), the delivery person is unprofessional, the pizza doesn't show up because they put the wrong method in (pick-up instead of delivery). This staff needs to be retrained, hiring needs to be vetted much better, there's not excuse for the extremely poor customer service that is standard here. The quality is much like the customer service - overcooked and undercooked pizza, when we can we just go pick it up from Agua Fria, maybe they can come and train you guys. read more

UPDATED review: Adding a star/Two stars- The business replied to my original review & attempted to resolve the problem by offering to look in to my order further. ORIGINAL review: One star- After having a super busy & late Wednesday, we decided to have a pizza night. Thinking back on the experience now, I wish I would have done a check in & posted some pictures. The order was for 2 extra large pepperoni pizzas, one cinnamon bread desert sticks & one garlic cheese bread sticks. When I paid, I told the cashier I didn't need the receipt (never doing that again). When the order was ready, the boxes didn't get opened before we took them. I was already super tired, so we just took the boxes & headed out (huge mistake). Got home, started opening up the boxes & handing out plates. Something seemed like it was missing. Took a minute & counted the number of boxes we were given. Got everything except the order of cheese garlic sticks (so disappointing). What was I to do? Not worth our drive back to the store with no receipt for sure. On top of that, there was the way the cheese looked on the pizza (it was basically falling off the pizza).
