New to the area, but love Barro's Pizza! First time at this location and it was a little chaotic and and super busy time. There was a slight miscommunication with my order, but the team and especially the manager, Violet, really went above and beyond to make it right. Not the best pizza place. The pizza was poorly constructed. It was way too heavy on the cheese. It started falling apart when I tried to eat it . The service was OK I guess not necessarily the polite or nicest but not dismissive either. The ambience of the restaurant is nothing terrible. It's very clean. There's good lighting overall this is an average pizza place. The pizza I had was good enough, but not terrible and certainly not the best. But it is however cheap and convenient and close by. That doesn't mean I suggest you come here to grab a pizza. My suggestion is to go find a place in town. It's far better. read more

I've been to many barros locations and this one by far was the worst. Ordered the Kona pizza and it was so soupy on top and the dough seemed very undercooked. Good thing I don't live close to this location or else I wouldn't be able to give barros my business anymore. I don't know what they did to this pizza but it was a sloppy mess. read more

Ordered several pizzas and wings for my son's birthday party. We called about 45 minutes prior to the pick-up time to see if we could change the wing flavor. If not, that wouldn't have been an issue as we were simply calling to see if there was enough time to do so. Here is where the issues start: the person that we spoke to stated they have no phone number that starts with my first two digits. Sort of weird as I'm looking at my order confirmation. So, we offer to give her the order number as she said that will suffice. We give her that and we are told the order number does not pull anything. Additionally, we are told their order numbers don't contain any letters. Clearly that's not the case - see attached photo. We obviously clarified that we were speaking with the correct location... just to be sure. This is where I get frustrated as I now have to leave my son's birthday party to come up to the location and possibly replace an order that by all accounts is lost. I get here and sure enough, they can all of sudden find my order. Again, I was forced to leave my kids birthday party and now I am sitting here waiting for the food as there is no point in me leaving and having someone come back up here in 30 minutes. Not a great experience at all and highly disappointed. We'll definitely consider one of the other named locations next time. read more

First let me say that i was waiting to pick up my pizza and the gentleman infront of me finished his credit card transaction but forgot to hit finish/complete and the cashier went and ADDED HER TIP with out him knowing and she finished his transaction, i am calling up there tomorrow and letting the manager know what she did, when i picked up my pizza it was cold and she gave me an attitude like it was my fault, if you give your customer a time frame to pick up pizza go ask the workers in the back and not estimate by your time, she was awful about the whole situation and went and grabbed her manager, he was nice enough to remake the pizza while she was still giving me attitude on what she said, sweetheart im not deaf you told me 20-25 minutes and SHE SAID 10-15, anyways when the manager said it would be done in 10 minutes she literally stood there and said no its 20-25 mins, if i see her working i will not go in there and neither will my friends nor family because of the crappy customer service she had given. The pizza special is still reasonable at $4.50 for a slice and a drink. This particular slice was a chicken slice which had onions and peppers and cheddar cheese. It was a good slice. We love Barros Pizza. We live in Northern AZ and stop almost every time we are heading back home. I placed and paid for my order online expecting a quick pickup, but there is no separate pickup area. I still had to wait in a long line behind customers ordering to dine in--about 20 people deep. The whole point of placing and paying online is to save time. Most businesses that offer online ordering have a designated pickup area for this exact reason. Having a separate pickup line would greatly improve the customer experience and efficiency, especially when people ordering for some in also need a salad made. It is frustrating and I recommend making the adjustment to accommodate your online paid for orders. read more

We arrived at the restaurant around 2 o'clock on Monday afternoon. The Place was pretty dead. The Cashier was pleasant and took our order. After getting our food my wife started eating her lunch and needed napkins. She went to get napkins however the napkin holder is empty. She approached a tall brunette and let her know that they were out and she acknowledged but did nothing. She finished taking a customers order and then proceeded to go make a salad. My wife still has food on her hand from her sandwich and sat down. She approached the worker again and she asked what she wanted. She said again "a napkin". The worker went to the back room, came back and tossed a handful of napkins to her. Not sure if this is a bad day for this individual or if this is why this restaurant that serves good food is empty? Went after church on Sunday for the first time going to Barro's since I was a child. Even with the busy after service rush, Layla was very patient , kind and helpful as well the pizza and salad were fresh and delicious. I decided to go a back a few days later a few minutes after four which is when the shop stops selling slices and Layla was there again and went out her way and checked the back where there we two single slices left which saved us money , so I was appreciative of her kindness once again! The staff here are very poorly trained (front and back of house). I've ordered here multiple times and there is always a different issue. I've been to many other locations in Phoenix and have never experienced such poor service and badly made pizza. Online orders are often forgotten by the kitchen staff. Well, I can definitely see why they only have three stars because if there's a problem, they'll just stick you on hold and give you the manager that doesn't even care about fixing anything. We went to Google and found the Barros order for pick up link and ordered pizza. We specified the ingredients on the pizza and sent in. We got an alert it was ready about 20 mins before which I guess is ok. But when we got there they said we had no order. After supplying screenshots they finally located telling us it was door dash. We for sure didn't order through DoorDash - I have an account and was never prompted to log in or told. Come to find out the store enable door dash store front and their employees just don't know what the heck is going on. Then the manager gets on and swears we clicked a button for a certain pizza but really how are you going to say that when you can't even locate our order and can't help us because it was through door dash ‍ All of this could've easily been remedied by him saying no problem will take care of it. This barros was great for my wife and I a few years ago. I've been sick from this location multiple times. It's been almost a year since we have eaten here so we ordered some food last night. Within hours I was feeling nauseous and about two in the morning I work up extremely sick. Vomiting and diarrhea. And still am feeling incredibly sick and can't stay out of the bathroom. I'm assume it was the wings because my wife didn't have any of those and she has been fine. Will never eat here again. I grew up with Barro's in SoCal, so I figured I could have a decent meal there. I ordered a simple sandwich mid-afternoon on a Sunday, so the place was virtually empty, and was told "that will be ready in 15-20 minutes". Wow, 15-20 minutes to make a sandwich? Had I known, I would have gone somewhere else. Well, 15-20 minutes went by, people came and went with their orders, but still no sandwich, so I asked when it would be ready. "What sandwich?" I was asked as they searched orders on the computer. "The one I paid for 20 minutes ago", I said, "do you want to see my receipt?". Then they lied to me: "oh, it's in the oven and will be out in just a minute". A few minutes later I saw a guy in the back put my sandwich in the oven and another five minutes later, I finally had my mediocre sandwich. The sandwich was so-so with four slices of processed ham and eight small slices of salami and a little lettuce and tomato on a 12 inch roll, but was relatively cheap (less than $7 for a 12 inch sub and a bag o' chips) and filled the void in my gut or they would have received my lowest score. Forgetting my order was bad enough, but letting me leave without some sort of compensation (free slice, coupon, etc.) and a heartfelt apology was unforgivable. I was so excited to learn that I moved near a Barro's! I love their small pizzas and they are super helpful when wanting to customize it. I just drive up, call and tell them I'm here, and pick up the pizza. The only con is the pickup parking only has three spots which can be an issue when it's busy. read more

We picked up a pizza on July 3rd. Same thing we have ordered o. The past and usually decent. This one was sad. The crust was so soggy I was scooping it. Tried putting it in the toaster oven and the top edge got dark but the bottom crust was still limp. We will plan to try again at some point.
