My first time here and trying to find the best pizza spot in the Valley. I was skeptical of the reviews at first. Dined in on a Saturday night. I like the layout of the restaurant. They offer table and booth seating available with flat screen TV to watch. A variety of food options to choose from. I ordered the Barro's Special with a side of a garden salad, which is not pictured and large fountain drink. The service was great with no delays. Now THIS IS WHAT I'M TALKING ABOUT!!! This is the Barro's I know!! Management reached out and righted the wrong. Stopped in to pick up our carry out order and the staff was very friendly. The pizza was super hot and fresh. Upon arriving home, the pizza was still piping hot. Biting into the pizza, that cheese pull to topping ratio was spot on. I can truly say, the last time must've just been an off day because this was definitely an ON, GREAT DAY! Kudos to the chef for sure. Chefs kiss! I've been eating at Barros all over the area and for many years. Ive never had anyone at any of the locations that was anything but nice. Until tonight. The manager here was so unhelpful, disinterested, and just rude. They sent me a mega meat pizza that I ordered with nothing on it but tomato sauce and bread. That's it. It was that way on the ticket but you might stop for a minute and think-this might not be right.... Hummm.... I will never order here again. I suggest no one eles eat here. We ordered a bacon and mushroom pizza with 24 traditional buffalo wings. They had the Vikings and Rams game going on the tvs. Music was at a perfect level. The customer service was great. Our pizza and wings were awesome, pizza was hot, filled with a good dose of toppings as the cheese melted away. Wings were well cooked and bathed in plenty of sauce. The missing star is because the restaurant smelled dirty. The further away from the door or counter the stronger the odor. Maybe the play area needs a good cleaning. Been being told by friends to try this place and it's amazing. Order pick up and from the beginning the service was great and when I picked up very friendly staff. We order the Kona pizza a pepperoni, chicken wings and cheese bread. All very very good. You can taste all the flavors. I didn't have time to dine in I took us to go well I'm super impressed with a prompt and made to order meatball sandwich and pizza about 22 minute wait. I was so impressed that meatball sandwich it may not it look pretty but looks aren't everything this was by far one of the best meatball sandwiches I've had in a while. The pizza Was cooked evenly and perfect it was not Dowie at all ingredients you could tell they were fresh I was really enjoy the sauce Right amount of sweetness and not overpowered with too many spices. The staff was friendly and my pizza was piping hot and fresh. It was so hot my toppings wanted to slide off. I let it cool a bit before diving in. I got a chicken pizza. The first piece of chicken was rubbery and chewy. The other pieces were yummy. So I'll chalk it up to a bad piece not the whole pie. I liked the thin crust and the sauce, no issues there. Went to Barro's on Baseline and 24th for lunch, never had issues before. I got two slices which were are now a dollar more, no biggie portions are great and slices are awesome... Then I get the two smallest, coldest slices I have ever had at Barro's. When I mentioned to the staff since two brand new pies came out that didn't look any better it was met with a more indifferent and? Used to be good quality food. I don't care what anyone says, that pizza is straight fire!! I've gotten both the thin crust and thicker first and 10/10. My friend got wings and said they were delicious. I've only eaten there once and service was decent but the pizza is what you're there for, so. ‍ I usually get it delivered. delivery people are nice and never have trouble finding my apartment. Me & my family went in this evening for a simple pizza & wings dinner ordered a dozen wings & one medium pizza for dine in. We gotten our wings within a reasonable time 20 mins or so. Our pizza however took more than an hour before I had to go up to the front & ask where our pizza was since other customers had gotten theirs before us even after arriving after us some time. Finally we gotten our pizza to go I didn't want to eat inside after the more than an hour wait for a small medium pizza not compensated at all its my second time here but we wont be coming back to this location there are other Barro's who do better so that's where we'll be! Maybe order ahead IMO. It's a solid 1.5 of 5 stars pizza came out okay was definitely burnt. read more

I almost pushed the order button on a large commercial pizza competitor but then remembered the tasty piece of pizza I tried when someone at work had extra. The price for similar options is better at Barro's than what I was going to order at the big chain and Barro's tastes better. I tried the Barro's Special pizza in a large, bread sticks with cheese and some ranch dip. I normally prefer thin crust but the toppings are heaped on so it balances out the crust. The pizza is full of flavor and smells wonderful. I also grabbed a 2 liter of Pepsi to go. The order was a to-go order and because this was during the COVID-19 chaos the dinning room was closed, but the place looks like a good place to dine in. They make it easy to pick up an order and I noticed they offer beer and wine to go ... bonus points! read more

The rating is true to the food quality. I first ordered from then a year ago and we are New Yorkers so we will always get pizza and wings. Original crust is thick so we prefer the thin crust. Still, the thin crust is nothing like a Brooklyn pizza. The sauce is ok and not too sweet. Overall, pizza is ok for being in AZ and much better than Papa John's, Dominos or Pizza Hut. Our local fav is Jimmy and Joe's Pizza. The wings....now this is where they go really wrong. First order we learned to order them extra crispy because if not...the skin is soft and soggy. When we ordered over the phone for delivery or pick up, we always get what we want. This is the first time we ordered online, extra crispy wings and 1 cold cut sandwhich and we were not happy. Took 45 min for delivery that was about 1 mile from our house. Wings were NOT cooked extra crispy. We also ordered Garlic Parm and they were greasy. I can't believe this place has only 3 stars. I arrived at 7pm on a Friday and only had to wait 2 minutes to place my order. My food arrived at my table quickly and I was shocked at the amount of food I received for what I paid. I ordered a salad and small side of mozzarella sticks. The salad, at its base, is of your typical iceberg variety. However, the overwhelming amount of veggies more than makes up for it. As for the mozzarella sticks, crispy on the outside and chewy cheese inside. I paired then with pizza sauce and was not disappointed. The staff were very friendly and provided excellent service. Normally Barros pizza is very good this time not so much. But it's really the wings and staff that got me ticked off. However today I came in for wings. I ordered the honey hot wings and a lunch order of pizza slices from Ashton. What I got was regular hot buffalo wings. I pointed out that these are not sweet at all but tasted like hot buffalo. (I can't stand buffalo sauce as most times it's too vinegary.) I sat down to eat my pizza... the wings were delivered to the table later. I only tasted the sauce that was on top of the box that was enough to stop me. As I was leaving I asked Ashton is the honey hot made with buffalo sauce...he replied yes. I explained that these were not sweet at all. Then he said if I wanted sweet I should have ordered the honey BBQ. But when a restaurant puts the word honey in front of hot...any sane person would think you would taste some sweetness first. Personally I feel he could have made it better by offering to replace the order of wings...As I had not eaten any of them. That dollar or two it would have cost to replace them was not worth the bad experience a customer has... nor the bad review. Remember if someone's unhappy they tell their friends too. I took them home and even my daughter couldn't taste any sweetness. I thought this would be something like a honey habanero or honey jalapeño. But it was regular HOT buffalo sauce. On top of that I came in and ordered at 10:52 only 22 minutes after they opened. But their lunch special pizza slices tasted stale like they had been stilling there at least an hour or more. I didn't bother complaining about the pizza to the staff. For a restaurant chain that I normally love... this was an epic fail. I will say the food here is delicious hot and fresh but when you do receive it yesterday afternoon, me and family went inside to go have a sit down dinner Upon walking in and going to the register to order our food. OK understandable I guess I I wasn't understanding how we've been there for over 30 minutes and only gotten our wings but the couple behind us that came in after us has received all their food. another five minutes goes by and our pizza comes out steaming hot fresh out of the oven was delicious. Still never got any sort of apology just pizza in the table and she walks away.The whole time we are sitting there and waiting for our food. There's no need to be short with people when they're ordering a food item -- that is literally your job. Typical lunch day stopped at one of my favorite pizza places for couple quick slices. As I walked in the employee was cleaning off tables and instantly told me it would be just a few mins. After about 5mims she came in took my order grabbed a plate for my pizza and my utensils without washing her hands. I asked her if she could wash her hands, which she did with attitude.
