Seen this place, thought I'd give it a try. The place wasn't bad. It was a little difficult to locate. I forgot to take a picture of where it is exactly. The sign of the place faces the road, so in the parking lot, I believe it was next to a dog place. I ordered ahead, and got a medium chicken pesto. It wasn't a bad pizza. I like to try the pizzas both hot and cold. And it was still enjoyable in both conditions. I ate more than half the pie on the drive home. I'd come back and try another flavor for sure. read more

Truly, one of the only places in Arizona that I understands what a breaded chicken cutlet is.. I'm talking NY/NJ/CT style and I couldn't be happier. Stopped by to check this place out and ordered a pepperoni pie. The two things that really stood out was how fresh the sauce tasted and how light the crust felt. These guys make a really good pie, and the quality of the ingredients is obvious. The ratio of crust, sauce and cheese was just right. I look forward to trying the sandwiches here on my next visit. I got a slice of pizza and a meatball sub and unfortunately this was not a hit for me. They seemed like nice people. However, I waited a little bit for the sub which was very soggy after only a 4 min drive from their place to my house. The pizza was burnt and curled up and not really any flavor to the slice. The meatball sub was just that balls of meat with no visible flavor I'm used to seeing parsley/garlic etc in them but just plain balls of meat on a soggy sub roll with almost impossibly flavorless cheese. read more

The cheese pizza was great! I'm a former NYer and to be honest, I don't remember how the pizza tasted. I do know that I loved this pizza and I will order it to be delivered, again. There is a $20 minimum for delivery, so I ordered a Caesar salad which I haven't tried yet. Dove right into the pizza! read more

First of the the service is wonderful! Elona? Ilona? (I'm not sure if the spelling) is very kind and friendly! The pizzas are delicious and perfectly baked. There's something special about the authentic dough they use that makes it so good that no crust goes to waste! I also really love that the toppings aren't too salty like some pizza places can be (I've tried supreme and veggie.. both great). The dessert bites are pillowy, chewy, have just a touch of chocolate drizzle, and are lightly sugared to perfection for those that can't get enough of the doughy goodness. The interior is simple and clean, with an ambiance that isn't too distracting. Less is more in this regard and I wholeheartedly enjoy eating here every time. I'm in Mesa doing some business and had an opportunity to go to York Pizza for lunch today. Simple, clean and comfortable little lunch place that serves great Italian food. I had an amazing chicken Parm sandwich and the owner made me taste a piece of pizza because he was so proud of it. It was very good New York style pizza with thin crust, excellent sauce and cheese. I was very surprised at how much I like this place and if you want a simple lunch of good Italian food with good sandwiches and pizza this is the Place To Go in Mesa. Ordered a simple half pep half cheese and some hot wings through Slice. The restaurant accepted the order promptly and I had a pizza at my door within 30 mins. The box felt light, a good sign for the type of pizza I was hoping for. Upon opening the box, I was stoked to see the cheese and crust had a consistent brown. First bite was great! The tomato sauce was lightly and evenly spread and carried a sweetness that worked well with the other ingredients. The pizza was great and didn't leave me feeling gross after crushing 4 slices. I'm not a huge fan of pizza shop wings, but they're labeled as, "crispy wings," so I ordered a sixer and don't regret it. These wings were pretty big and obviously of quality. Sorry for not snapping some pics, I'm not a huge reviewer, but after trying so much bad pizza in my neighborhood, I felt the need to let the people know that York Pizza is good pizza! read more

This pizza was AMAZING. There's a spot up in Prescott that my family and I really love, however, living in the valley it's just not economical to go very often. The Grumpy Sicilian had set the bar for us, but then we found York Pizza!! It was so nice getting to know about the shop a bit while talking to the girl that was helping us. Customer service was great. The food was DELICIOUS, some of the best pizza I have ever had. The flavors were fantastic and the crust is just perfect. We got a half chicken pesto, half margarita pizza. My mom and I could've finished off the whole thing ourselves, but we decided to save some for the rest of our family. 100% recommend and will be returning! read more
