First time here and the service was really good! Ordered spaghetti and meat sauce and their jolly rancher watermelon slush. Food came to the table quickly. We were also told since we were dining in we could have unlimited breadsticks. We only had 1 round of those. Who knew a fast food pasta place could be so good. Even got fresh parmesan cheese grated and was told to just say stop. Way better than olive garden and reasonably priced. I would definitely come back when im craving pasta! I come often when I'm in the area and everytime the food is great it's delicious and usually there is friendly, welcoming customer service but lately the service has gone down. I leave a tip as usual but today we had an employee who had attitude. Not only she didn't say much or smile but she also was slamming and dropping dishes as she cleaned a table near us. I grew up eating at Fazoli's and then they closed, and when I saw they were back I knew I had to make it in at some point. I'm so glad we did. The food was delicious and fresh, the service was quick and the staff was friendly. The restaurant was clean with plenty of seating. There was so much leftover and I'm pretty particular about leftover food and reheating but this reheated nicely. I'm so glad it's back and I will definitely be visiting again. read more

It's fast Italian food. Please don't go in expecting Uncle Sal's or some other upscale Italian. But I love it for what it is! Dinner was around 8:30pm on a Thursday. No one else in the restaurant. I ordered baked spaghetti with meatballs and my guy ordered meatballs. Of course, meals are served with breadsticks! Those breadsticks...so buttery, hot, and perfectly sessoned. Back in the early 2000's we used to eat at Fazoli's all the time. There was nothing like getting a basket of warm breadsticks with your meal. In 2008, all of the Fazoli's locations in Arizona closed up shop. Now they are making a comeback. This particular location is at Mesa Riverview and has a drive-thru. A group of us came here for an early dinner. I was the only one in our party that dined at Fazoli's in the old days and shared some stories with them of coming here for lunch. The breadsticks are still the highlight of Fazoli's and just as good as ever. A server walks around with a basket of breadsticks and offers some if you want a couple extra with your meal. I used to always get their Fettuccine Alfredo back in the old days. I tried something different and got the Baked Ziti with some Fried Mozzarella Bites. The food wasn't bad. I enjoyed the feelings of nostalgia that I got from returning here after so many years. But at the same time, it is not the same franchise anymore after multiple ownership changes. We always used to go to fazoli's back before they left the valley for over a decade. We came here looking to see if it was the same, and while there are some of the same things, it's actually different. The atmosphere is exactly what you would think from a fast food restaurant, although there are more little cubbies and dividers making it more intimate than some. If you are dining in, food is served on real plates and bowls, which is one of the changes from the original fazoli's. The food here is okay, it's definitely not gourmet, but it is a really great change from burgers and chicken for fast food and it really is fine. It feels more like a real meal. If you dine in, it is unlimited breadsticks. One of the staff members brings them around, and when you get low there's more behind it. The price is here are really really good. I got a tortellini and spaghetti with meat sauce combo for only $7.99. That's an amazingly cheap price for what was a really big dinner when you pair it with the unlimited breadsticks. Of course I didn't finish it, but with two adult sons, there's never a problem finding someone to take my leftovers. We will always come here if there's if there's always around. Drive thru is horrendous, they take so long when nobody is there. The food is below average for waiting that long. Breadsticks are always doughy and soggy. This location is absolute garbage. So I use to eat at Fazoli's back years ago when they were in the Phoenix/Mesa area before they disappeared and they were a go to. Then they were gone. So they're back, and this is the first time I've made it by. When I walked up to the counter the guy working came across as a little much. The name on my receipt was Martha but I don't think that was him as he didn't look like a Martha. Anyway, like I said, he came across a little over the top, but as we progressed in the conversation, he really started to grow on me. His attitude, demeanor, and overall presence was pure CUSTOMER SERVICE! He was very outgoing, very talkative, very cool, and very nice. I listened to him with others while waiting for my food and he was the same with them. The food was as expected. It's fast food, sure, but it's very flavorful and fresh and it makes it worth the price you pay. The loaded fettuccine alfredo was better than I've had at even like Olive Garden. The breadsticks? I LOVE THEM!!! The place was clean and actually kinda intimate and I was impressed that there was someone out cleaning tables and what not. So I give them five stars for this visit because the food is very good for what it is and the guy working? Well he made my day! read more

After 16 years, we have come back to Fazoli's!!! They've come back to Mesa, Sky Harbor, and Glendale in AZ! So happy that they are back and they didn't disappoint. The food (Chicken Fettuccini and Spaghetti with Meatballs was as good or better than what we remembered! I read a bunch of posts that said the unlimited breadsticks were no longer available and that was not the case, so that was a pleasant surprise. And on top of it all, the staff was fantastic, they had 3 people walking the dining area to make sure we had everything we wanted and I didn't feel like they were intruding! Hello folks, today Jen & I are going to see the Premiere Opening of " Weapons " as we were given free tickets to go thanks to our friend Derk, so we decided to get some to eat as we would be getting out late, Fazoli's is back in Arizona after being gone for some time so decided to go there, our waiter was very nice & polite as we order our dishes, the inside wasn't bad looked pretty much like all fast food joints, it was pretty quiet for the most part as I'm sure we were a little early before the rush, we both ordered something different as we like to share the dish with each other, the wait wasn't long for the food and after seeing the portion size we wished we ordered one dish rather then two, everything seemed to taste the same as we remembered from past experience, I had the Chicken Alfredo with Chicken, the chicken seemed a bit on the dry side but eatable, Jen had the Baked Ziti which was pretty good, the bread stick didn't look to be that fresh ( maybe due to sitting under a heat lamp to long ) so only had a few bits of them. You can't go wrong with Fazoli's. I was a Fazoli fan before it closed down in the late 2000s. I haven't seen one back in Las Vegas yet, but when I found one here in Arizona, I decided to go check it out and see if it was still the same. And very happy with it come back that not much has changed from the way. It was because nothing was wrong with it then and you still can't go wrong with $10 for the Classic (lasagna / fettuccine/ spaghetti & meatball ) with breadsticks, especially if you have a family to feed. It is not what you expect if you'd go to a top-of-the-line Italian restaurant but it is the best fast food Italian food you can find and the prices you can't beat them a very happy I went to Fazoli's. Q: Why did the Italian pasta chef become a boxer? A: He kneaded dough but couldn't find a penne. As a born and raised Arizonan, I remember Fazoli's quite fondly. They had been in Phoenix for a hot minute before they disappeared in the early 2000s. Of course, when they were in town, I was still quite young and who knows if I could trust my tastebuds. Now that they're back, I wanted to give them a try with an adult palate. The two of us ordered twelve breadsticks and two samplers (one of them was the Ultimate Sampler: Fettuccine Alfredo, Penne with Meat Sauce, Spaghetti and Meatball, Lasagna with Meat Sauce) We went through the drive-thru and it still took around 30 minutes since it was busy. After taking it home and digging in, I felt satisfied, but it's far from the Fazoli's I remembered. It's not the best pasta but they're not bad. The breadsticks are still amazing though. I would never say no to Fazoli's as my thoughts on them are caked in nostalgia but I wouldn't say you HAVE to try them. If you were around for the late 1900s or early 2000s, you have a good chance of remembering this place. My childhood home was about half a mile to a Fazoli's and I remember liking this place. Now that they're back and I have my big boy adult tastebuds, I think the rose colored glasses are off. Everything tasted the same and the noodles leaned towards the overcooked side. People are super quick to review and harsh to say the least. I just wanna say both times I've come in, I believe I made it at a wonderful time. Both times, my food arrived to my table before I was ready to sit down. And it's just as it should be and I remember. All the fazoli flavor we remember from once before. I love Fazoli's and I always have. Seeing this location open up near me has been so nostalgic. With how limited the locations have been where I've lived, I honestly hadn't been to a location in 17 years. Waiting in line today was the shortest I had seen the line and the estimate of 20 minutes was not correct, it ended up being an hour in the drive through but there was no getting out of line once you're in. I was also glad to see the chicken parm bake was still there. I used to get it with the spaghetti having Alfredo vs marinara but I got a side of Alfredo instead. My only issue is that nowhere on the menu does it say breadsticks come with the meals (other than the kid meal). The sign on the menu says "don't forget the breadsticks" and shows the prices. So I ordered two sticks. To my surprise, I got 6 breadsticks for some reason. I also got the mozzarella bites from the reward program, they hit the spot. I highly recommend trying their food if you haven't ever. The prices are still reasonable as well. read more

For a fast food joint, Fazoli's is pretty solid. It's affordable and efficient despite the crowds, with decent food that will hit the spot well enough if you're craving Italian. The staff did a fair job of managing the weekend lunch rush. They were well-staffed in the back and around the restaurant -- and while only one person was taking orders up front, the slower pace of order intakes helped manage the number of people waiting for tables in the small space. The all-you-can-eat breadsticks are easily the best part of Fazoli's. They were SO fresh, soft, and flavorful. The rest of the food is alright for the low price -- $7.99 gets you a couple small portions and a drink during lunchtime. It's not a super filling to-go meal, but if you're dining in, the unlimited breadsticks make the meal satisfying enough. However, we only got one extra breadstick before they ran out, and the server who told us she'd be back with more never returned. (I'm sure you could go up to ask for more if you're hungry though!) I did think it was hilariously disappointing that the "premium" spaghetti and meatballs lunch upgrade is actually just spaghetti and meatball (singular). Wowza! What a successful opening day! I arrived at 6:45pm knowing they closed at 10pm. I was told I was the 68th car, and they were at a 3 hour wait. Sadly, I was turned away but I fully understand! Since they closed in 2008/2009 timeframe due to the economy, I have posted on their social media pages with my best friend advocating their return! Heck, many people would tag me and began commenting too. My bestie and I even would drive specifically to their two California locations for our breakfast fix - letting the staff know we missed them in Arizona. When they opened earlier this year, I have been frequenting the location in Sky Harbor. So very excited that there is now a location that won't require me to have a flight out of terminal 4, gate B! I connected with the very friendly gentleman who provided a paper menu (pictured here) who advised more locations are to come! Hoping to return tomorrow to provide photos of the interior and the food, but reviewing the sheer friendliness of the staff and excitement for them to open up!!! Edit: Back on day two of business. I arrived at 4:15pm to do dine in. From standing in line to food arriving to my table, it was only 30 minutes!!! Food was delicious as amazing & all the staff were incredibly friendly. Fazoli's is a pasta lover's dream come true. The unlimited breadsticks alone are worth the visit--perfect for snacking, scooping, and even dueling (in a pinch). The fettuccine Alfredo is creamy perfection, and the spaghetti? Pure love at first bite. One of the servers was really sweet and brought over breadsticks but then I shared that I had a dairy allergy. So she offered to have some without butter. How nice of her!?!? Really made my experience back for the first time in like 20 years, absolutely amazing. The casual, homey atmosphere makes you feel like you've stepped into an Italian grandma's kitchen. You'll leave with a full belly and a happy heart (and maybe a tighter waistband). This was my first time trying the food here. We came in for dinner and I ordered the sampler pasta meal with bread sticks. Honestly I was quite surprised by how decent the food was for being a fast food Italian food restaurant. Now the spaghetti with meatballs, fettuccine alfredo and penne were my favorite. The tomato sauce was super yummy and very flavorful the alfredo sauce complimented the fettuccine well also . Where my meal fell short was the lasagna it was honestly a little dry in the center and the bread sticks were a little undercooked. My boyfriend ordered two slices of cheese pizza and that lacked flavor all together we honestly weren't able to eat them. You'd think that the pasta which was super good would pass on over to the pizza but no. By no means did my experience here discourage me from returning I just don't recrecommend the lasagna or the pizza I think I'll stick to the spaghetti and maybe a salad next time. Did the drive up, nobody was in line. Took about 5 minutes to get my food. Lasagna was the best entree and the breadsticks were just how I remember them as a kid growing up in Illinois. This won't be the best pasta you've ever had. It won't take you back to your trip to Florence or even the very, very touristy parts of Venice. It may remind your of your college days. But if your love language is cheap carbs or you have several pasta loving littles to appease you'll be in luck. There is a wide selection of pastas brought out to you somewhat quickly that are good enough. And they are served on real plates which feels like a fast food novelty. The real reason you will bother going into the small, crowded dining room though is the unlimited, free breadsticks. Since making its comeback Fazoli's is crowded. And as mentioned seating is limited. But this may change as the excitement wears off. The service is hit and miss. Seems like there are usually several employees standing around not doing much.
