Dr. Fairweather is fantastic!…read more We've had great success addressing my bi-polar disorder, and are about to start work on my add. I've started feeling better about everything because of her! She's so easy to talk to and I trust her. She relates to everything I'm going through, because she's been there. I highly recommend Dr. Fairweather!

I was a patient of Dr. Alloju/Fairweather/Frankenstein as a college kid. I'd been struggling with…read moredepression and anxiety since I was 15, and now at 20 the consequences of these conditions were having a disastrous affect on my school performance. I went to this doctor because I needed help. I felt like an outsider looking in, trying but failing to be a Human Normal. I hated myself with fury and fire. And I didn't want to want to die, but I certainly longed for an eternal reprieve from the pain. So I went to a doctor. I was in school in Brooklyn but grew up in Texas, and as I was home for the holidays, I started seeing Dr. Alloju. I didn't know the far-reaching and indelible mark this would leave on my life, changing the course completely. I was a bright kid. I read constantly. A bit of a nerd. A writing major. I wanted to write plays and movies. But here's what happened instead: After talking to me for 45 minutes and barely listening, this woman diagnosed me as having Bipolar II Disorder. I wasn't that upset about it because I thought, well maybe she's right and maybe she can help me. Over the course of the next year, culminating in a near-death experience, I was put on these medications concurrently: Lamictal 400mg, Seroquel 350mg, Klonopin 2mg twice daily, and to cap it all off, Geodon 80mg. This is enough medication to sedate an obese elephant. I was 20 years old, 5'2 and 107 lbs. I had to drop out of college because I almost died from this demented drug cocktail. That was a long time ago and I'm still angry. I'm still angry that it took me 10 more years before I was properly diagnosed as ADHD and on the autism spectrum. I didn't need to be on those drugs. I just didn't. When I told her they weren't working, she'd just increase the dosages. Once, during a phone session, she said I sounded drunk and went a step further to label me as an alcoholic. I didn't really drink at the time; my words were slurred because of the sedating medication. The irony, of course, is that Dr. Alloju has multiple DUIs and was on some sort of probation while treating me. I only have flashbulb memories from an entire year of my life. Apparently I almost died from an overdose of these medications. It took many years to try and get my life back from this monster. This is all to say, this woman will destroy your mind, body, and spirit. And she almost ended my life. What she did to me was criminal. Not just malpractice, although it was also that, but it was a deeply immoral negligence and breach of trust. At least if she *had* killed me she might not be practicing to this day. Stay. Away.

Turned out I had thyroid issues & needed medication, very low Vitamin D, very low B12, etc. after she knew what all was going on with me. She changed my medication & also called me with lab results so i could go to Primary Dr to get other issues taken care of for those medications. Best Doctor I've ever had. She listened & she helped me tremendously. She is the best. Her office is small & her staff is top notch. I highly recommend.

Finding a good psychiatrist or psychopharmacologist is tough and they are invaluable when you do…read morefind one. Hunting and pecking my way through DFW was a pain. My headache neurologist is debatable the best in the US, and does not suffer fools, so I had to find psychopharmacologist that I could pair with her. First, her NP actually knew who Dr Health which was a huge boon, because she had worked with this doctor before. This was a huge time saver and cut my search down tremendously. My meds had been off, I had lived in NYC for 7 years and had the same psychiatrist...but I made the mistake thinking that a really smart GP could coordinate my meds. This is not an error I will EVER make, again. I needed I good psychopharmacologist to rebalance everything. I suffered a TBI when I was nearly killed in a hate crime causing quite a few medical problems and I needed a number of specialists after the assault. The lynchpin to making everything work was a fantastic psychiatrist who worked as a psychopharmacologist. I've been fine for four years since I went under her care. Before that I was a hot mess, because not all doctors are equal with an RX pad and being a good psychiatrist requires a ton of working knowledge of gobs of medications and how they interact with different meds and people (I'm resistant to many meds and don't metabolize most meds the way most patients do she was the first to catch this and give me a genetic test). If she hadn't, I'd still be a Ginny pig. I've paid for the smartest doctors I could find to work in tangent with each other. Dr Heath was my missing link back to a normal life. Prior to my head injury I was a top PhD student and national award winning playwright (specializing in Aristotelean Structuralism). After the assault I was in horrific pain and unable to control my anger and slightly mentally challenged. This was caused by brain damage, and though my brain did rewire itself, it needed help. I had no quality of life. Comparatively, I have a fantastic one now. I just finished a 2nd Master's and a killer play...this is what a you get when you invest in the best doctors. It's not instant. It took her 4 months; however, others couldn't do it at all. I want Dr. House, only smarter and non-fictional. She's not cold, she's professional. So, do you want a doctor that can fix you and is professional...go here. I think the answer to the question is, "Am I better, and she fix what was wrong when no one else could?" "Yes." I sent a friend here a couple of years ago who had become non-functional in society after she was assaulted at work. She had similar results. She and her family are thrilled with the results, or so she told me. So, I'm not the only one happy to have my life back. So, I would highly recommend this doctor. You spend your money where you like, but I'm results oriented.

He offers services that aren't available anywhere else within a 100 mile radius so the office can can be VERY busy sometimes and that is also because he always puts the needs and health of his patients first. Most doctors these days allow the government and the DEA to dictate what medications are prescribed out of fear but Dr. Schack ALWAYS puts the patient first and carefully prescribes which medications are needed to help people function, to work and to make sure each individual patient is receiving the help they need. I MUST see him, in person, each month and he DOES make patients take random drug tests and works with my other doctors to make sure my meds are safe, properly dosed and that none of my meds have negative side effects or interact badly with any other meds I'm taking. There aren't many doctors left who are fighting for their patients mental and physical health and the government should not be able to interfere with the patient/doctor relationship (which is how our system SHOULD work.

You would think that they would reply in a respective manner but that is not the case here, The receptionist I got on the phone today she was absolutely the worst I can't believe she gets paid to talk to people I would put her in the back definitely or find her another position because talking to people is not for her! To sum up our conversation I was going to place an appointment and be put on the waiting list but she said the waiting list is going to be like a year I said I'm absolutely OK with that and she replies "you're going to wait a year" I replied yes then try to get put on the waiting list before she hung up on me! Totally unprofessional
