BEWARE - If it walks like a duck it's a DUCK.... and trust your instinct because I didn't and I got…read moreripped off big time....:(((( Came here at 8:30am after calling this place and the lady said - "yes bring your car in and we can get it up and ready for your smog check" so I took her word and came to this, off the beaten track place off near the 15 freeway and when I pulled up into the shop, I open the door and the first thing I noticed was the absolute mess of this place and the strong odor of "beer" that smelled like a Smelly bar...And that's where I didn't listen to my instincts...I checked in with a guy name Kyle said "sure let me get it hooked up to the machine to see what needs to be done" about 15 minutes later he told me that it would cost about $355 to change the spark plugs & to get it 100% ready to "pass" for the smog test so "stupid me" said OK let's do it... as I waited in the lobby of this dirty ass place that was littered with beer cans, a battery left in the middle of the floor, empty Coke cans, A dirty mop with some black greasy water, left next to the toilet and outdated magazines from 5 to 10 years ago...I knew I was in BIG trouble...:(((( Finally got my car back at 1:30pm & took it to the smog check and it failed.....Took it back to this place and waited till 430pm and they couldn't rectify the problem, meantime Kyle is long gone and after paying $355 cash, my car is still not smog check ready.... they told me to bring it back next time to take apart the manifold to put a new gasket in to rectify the issue to pass the smog check....F*** YOU....I'm never taking my car back to this place after paying $355 CASH...should of listened to my instincts....my recommendation is DO NOT...I repeat DO NOT bring your car into this place because this place is a SHAM...!!!!! BEWARE and STAY AWAY! This place is dangerous…read more Everyone here was very friendly, but the state in which they returned my car was dangerous and so I have to leave this review. I brought my car in while I was en route to Nevada and the Low Engine Oil Level light came on in my 2013 Subaru Crosstrek. I asked for an oil change, and while they were doing the oil change, they offered to rotate the tires for free. I didn't have the wheel lock key, so ended up telling them to not worry about it. However, they found a way to remove the wheel locks. The lady who took my payment noted that her husband had wanted to remove my tires to examine my brakes in the hopes that I needed new brakes. Which I didn't, so at least they didn't tell me that I needed new brakes. After the oil change, the Low Engine Oil Level light stayed on, so I figured there was something else that was the issue, so brought my car into the dealership to take a look after driving ~1K miles through NV and CA. The dealership noted that I had NO OIL showing up on my dipstick, and I was lucky that I hadn't done any damage to my car. After the dealership topped off my oil, the light went away. So I wonder ... what in the heck did Lube Express do for my oil change if there was no oil showing up on the dipstick?? Additionally, I just realized that one of the tires was missing the wheel lock and two of the lug nuts!! So that wheel was attached with 2 of 5 lug nuts. SO IN SUMMARY: I went to Lube Express for an oil change. I left WITHOUT oil in my car and with one of my wheels attached with two lug nuts (out of five). Yikes. I will NEVER go here again, and for your safety, much less just not getting ripped off, would recommend that you don't bring your car here either!

The prior business listed the smog check for ~$47, but it became $89 for a "luxury car." I even called to confirm the price. The person on the phone did not tell me, if you have a luxury car, it's going to cost more. If the business does not practice fair they do not deserve my business. US Smog Check on the other hand was very transparent in pricing and their workspace was clean. They have 3 workstations for the cars to get smogged; the drive in and out of the place was easy since the garage is a through and through. There was no additional cost for a "luxury" car because a car is a car. Different size cars with big engines (big trucks), different fuel (diesel), and year (older than 2000), I get the additional cost. They posted their pricing and it is fair. Thank you for being an honest business! I would return for future smog checks.

Today was no different. I recently bought a used car and needed a smog check for the title transfer. Thankfully, Daren took the time to double-check and realized the vehicle had already been smogged when the previous owner renewed the registration in February. Since smog inspections are valid for 90 days, I was all set! If it weren't for his attention to detail, I would have spent money unnecessarily.
