This was my first time having Ecuadorian food, and I absolutely loved it. I went for breakfast, and had the Bolon de maduro, which is similar to mangu or mofongo. It also came with a side of thin steak, which was cooked perfectly and with a savory sauce similar to a ropa vieja sauce. It also came with an egg and a choice between coffee americano and cafe con leche. The presentation of the coffee was very cool: they gave me a clear glass of coffee and a glass of milk to pour in.

Everything is delicious! A bit pricy but worth it if you like Ecuadorian food. Pictures are for the following dishes: Caldo de Bola (peanut, meat, veggie stuffed plantain ball soup) Carne apanada con arroz y lentejas (breaded steak with white rice and lentils) Side order of maduros (sweet plantain) and chifles (crispy plantain chips) Humitas dulce (sweet maize stuffed with cheese) Cazuela de pescado (peanut and plantain dish stuffed with fish in a specialty pot) Barzola desayuno, con bolon de Maduro mixto. (their signature breakfast with sweet plantain ball stuffed with cheese and fresh pork belly and rind (chicharrón) Encebollado de pescado (fish and onion soup usually a hangover cure!) Empanada de verde (plantain empanada stuffed with melted cheese) Drinks were colada (a sweet cinnamon oat drink) and Ecuadorian Pilsner. Coffee not pictured is delicious and strong! Naranjilla or Lulo shake is spot on, citrusy and tart but sweet.

This is an updated review from my original 2017 one. I was there yesterday, and the food was excellent, I had a bolon of chicharron, encebollado mixto and my husband had seafood soup. The restaurant opens at 9am, we arrived at 10am. The employees greeted us with an annoying look in their faces. It took them 45 minutes for them to bring the bolon,, no water until we ordered a quaker drink. Almost an hour later for our food to arrive and we were the only customers there!!! Customer service and speed has not improved since the last time I was there and they don't seem to care. If it wasn't because I was having a huge craving for encebollado, I would not go back. Oh, the 2 soups +2 drinks +1 bolon= $80

My Ecuadorian friends took us to this amazing place. I had never had Ecuadorian food. It was amazing!! We truly loved it, the drinks were very good too. I just didn't like the service added to the bill.

Drove all the way from west palm beach, online it says they close at 4pm, got here at 3:20pm. Staff was very rude saying they are already closed. I wonder if the owners of this establishment know about how staff treats customers. My boyfriend even called ahead of time to let them know we were on the way. Unreal.

The food was delicious but a little pricey because it's not an elegant place! The humita was to die for and so was the bolon! Also had Ecuipicada Barzola which has fritada (pork) and sea food enough for two people! My husband enjoyed the Beer from Ecuador Pilsner!

Horrible and overpriced food. On top of that they will add an extra 20% and expect another tip on top.

It was one of more affordable lunches for us back then. Not much has changed in all the years. The food quality is still decent, the prices are still affordable, and the customer service is still friendly. It was a nice experience to stop by for a simple breakfast and colada. It helped me reminisce about my life from years ago, how much has changed for the better now, but still missing how some things were back then. Maybe it wasn't a simple dining experience for me today, maybe motivation for me to check in on some people from way back then to see if they are still doing well. Thanks Latin American Grill for still being at the same location and reminding me to reach out to people I haven't spoken to in years. They offer plenty of free parking in this plaza. I would recommend this place to others and maybe be back next time I am in Pembroke Pines area.

The restaurant is small, with room for about 40 diners. It's bright and airy and on a Monday afternoon at lunchtime the World Cup games blasted on the TV and the restaurant was about half full. It features lunch specials for less than $20 that include an appetizer, entree, and beverage. There was one main server and what seemed like an owner, who also was serving. She served us and though she lagged at times, she was very congenial. Hubby had the lomo saltado lunch special and paid extra for a ceviche appetizer. I love tacu tacu, so I had a pollo saltado with the rice dish. Both meals were delicious. We especially liked that they weren't too salty (often a problem with Peruvian saltado dishes). And I asked to have my onions cooked well and they obliged. My onions were perfect, cooked but with a slight crunch. I was a bit disappointed in the tacu tacu. I thought it was a tad dry. The gravy did help, but I didn't have enough and didn't think it possible to ask for more. Next time I will ask for extra gravy and stick with plain rice. They charge an extra 4% to use a credit card. (Something that has been cropping up a lot in restaurants.) We managed to dig out $65 cash between us to pay the bill. I guess we have to start carrying more cash, or pay the extra charges.
