    Baked bbq buns
    Samantha H.

I've finally turned my husband on to dim sum and that's what he requested for his Father's Day dinner. While this isn't the best dim sum in town it is still tasty. We shared baked bbq buns, an egg roll, a shrimp spring roll, steamed shrimp dumplings, krab rangoons, and scallion pancakes. Everything was tasty although the bbq buns were a little dry and the scallion pancake was quite greasy. We ordered for takeout so I can't comment on the service or ambiance. The takeout did take quite longer than quoted but we weren't in a rush.

Hard pass on the egg rolls.

We chose to dine here on Christmas Day. My friend suggested it, so I called and they said they were open til 9pm and do not take reservations. We all decided to meet at 7pm. Upon our arrival, the hostess informed us they weren't seating any more parties because they were too busy and people were complaining. We were disappointed after having drove twenty minutes to get there. Then a nice woman who worked there walked by and said not to worry, and she'd find a place for us. We were seated, and our waiter brought waters and menus to us promptly. We looked over the menu and ordered quickly so as not to delay them. We all got the $3.95 meal add-on of soup with egg roll. The soups came out and we all enjoyed, followed by the egg rolls, which were cold and filled with not much of anything. Not impressed with the egg rolls, we waited patiently for our entrees. Considering they were busy, we were served in a reasonable timeframe. We all ate our non-remarkable meals and vowed to do better research for next year's Christmas Day Chinese dinner, as this place is not one we'd be coming back to.

Supposed to be sweet and sour chicken. I wouldn't feed this to a dog.

There should be an option for negative stars. We ordered two sweet and sour chicken orders and chicken with green beans. Literally not a single thing was edible. When I opened the bag, I thought they had given us pork rinds instead of chicken. I've never ever in my life seen chicken as disgusting as what they decided was ok to serve to a customer. The green beans were completely mushy and looked like they've been sitting somewhere for a week. Never again.

i ordered of uber eats, so i can not comment on the service or ambiance of the restaurant, but the food was delicious overall. a bit on service, i loved how they packaged everything for delivery, the cardboard box made it easy to transport and eat out of! as for the food, my favorite thing was the pork lo mein and the egg roll. the pork lo mein was loaded with huge hunks of roast pork, which i appreciate. and the egg roll! perfectly fried, and the wrapper was so good. i also got the beef and broccoli combo which came with pork fried rice. both were good, nothing spectacular. i enjoyed them but might order something different next time. one thing i wont get again is the crab rangoon. they weren't fried enough and it made them almost chewy? and the sauce had an odd flavor that i can't put my hand on. the filling was also flavorless. seemed like pure cream cheese and no flavoring aspects. overall, i'll be ordering again when i need a chinese takeout fix!! affordable and good. i ate for three days!!

    Special Fried Rice Wonton Soup

Ordered takeout, from the phone call to getting to the store it was maybe 5 minutes and the food was ready when I got there. So very quick service, though this was a Thursday night and no one was in the store so maybe other days it's slower. That was the only outstanding part of this place. I ordered the special fried rice and for the first time in my life I've had bland Chinese food. Even in the cheapest Chinese buffets I've been to have had more flavor. The Wonton soup was good though, average, but good. Seriously though I guess I must thank them because I finally know what duck sauce taste like. I had to drown the rice in it to give it any flavor. Website said "Voted Best Chinese Restaurant in Davie & Cooper City 6 Years in a Row", if that's true I'd hate to see what the other places are serving.

The fried rice was bomb, garlic sauce for the chicken was good, wonton cheese appetizers were delicious. I love how heartwarming this place was, the service was genuine. The food was all fresh and the staff was very attentive. I felt so honored being here and just felt spoiled. They treated us right and I have the respect that they keep this place from generations of family owned. I can't wait to bring more people here to try this tasty food and a place where I feel like I'm home. Oh yeah the sesame balls are to die for, I could eat so many.

This is honey garlic chicken over a bed of white rice.

It was empty. But it slowly got more diners, with about 5 tables filled before we left. Service was fine but the waitress who took our order barely spoke English and it was difficult getting answers about items on the menu. Nevertheless, we ordered pan-fried dumplings, the three meat combo plate with roast duck, BBQ roast pork, and crispy pork. We also got a seafood platter with salt and pepper shrimp, squid, and scallops. The latter didn't have much taste. We couldn't even taste any salt and pepper. The dish came on a bed of shredded raw cabbage. There was no rice. When I asked, the server (a different one from the woman who took our order) brought us a small bowl. They had forgotten to put the rice on the plate. (The dish is advertised as being served on a bed of rice.) The meat platter was decent. Although the duck skin needed to be crispier, the pork skin was very crispy. The BBQ roast pork was tasty, boasting a nice char siu flavor. The few strands of Chinese broccoli that was served with the dish was cold, as if it was added from the refrigerator. We enjoyed the pan-fried dumplings. They seemed to be homemade. One appetizer, two entrees, tax, and tip was $66.

No rebrand. No influencer nonsense. Just food. You can't dine in--and haven't been able to for about four years--because they don't have the staff to support it. No dishwasher, tight labor across the board. So this is strictly takeout. Accept that now. Then eat it on the hood of your car and be very happy. Egg rolls first. These are real egg rolls. Thick wrapper. Proper filling. Pork (he said beef this week, but my tongue says pork), visible shrimp, cabbage, and--most importantly--preserved mustard greens. That funky, savory note that modern egg rolls forgot existed. Get extra. Freeze them. You'll thank me later. Wonton Especial. This is the soup you order when you want everything. Vegetables, shrimp, chicken, pork wontons. Clean, savory broth that tastes like someone actually cared when they made it. Pork fried rice. Legit. Big chunks of roast pork. Egg. Scallions. Dark soy flavor. No beige sadness. Could I dock them for no bean sprouts? Sure. Am I going to, at this price and quality? Absolutely not. This is real takeout from a 20+ year business that never tried to be anything else. I told the owner flat out: if he moved this operation to Coral Springs, he'd make a fortune. Until then, Davie knows what it has. Bring napkins. Eat outside. Respect the classics. And bring cash.

Anyway, they have very many seafood and veggie dishes, which suits me just fine. And the waitress was making sure to point out what dishes had meat in them as she brought them to the table. That was very considerate. The price point for each item is on the high side, but the quantity is good. But of course it adds up in a hurry (another reason to see my tip about over ordering!) There was a sign stuck on the kiosk however, stating that the kiosk was for takeout orders only. The place was clean and well organized. We seated ourselves and my husband walked up to the counter to grab some printed menus we spotted. An employee appeared from elsewhere in the establishment and grabbed the menus and brought them to the table, leaving my husband awkwardly following him back to the table. My daughter saw the drink menu of teas and drinks and asked for an orange drink. I inquired from the server whether it was okay for kids, had any milk, and whether it was a juice or not. He informed me it was a syrup and it was a good choice for a kid. Upon receiving the drink, I tasted it and it tasted very strongly of green tea. Not something I would give to a child, but I guess I didn't specifically ask that question. My daughter was highly entertained by the robot server with a cat face that delivered our drink order. We continued optimistically and ordered the Peking Duck Bao, the Pork Soup Dumplings, the Chicken Sanji and the Fried Noodles with Shrimp. The Peking Duck tasted severely microwaved and dry. The skin was soggy and not at all appetizing, and there was one tiny sliver of green onion in one of the three bao. The pork soup dumplings were nothing to write home about, but were good overall. The dipping sauce that accompanied the dumplings was delicious and definitely added some flavor to the dumplings. The Chicken Sanji was a thick skinned bao dumpling and something I was looking forward to trying. It was lacking in flavor and the texture was not my favorite. It was accompanied by the same sauce as the soup dumplings. The fried noodles with shrimp dish was disappointing. The shrimp was perfectly cooked but the noodles and veggies lacked in both flavor and texture. All the veggies were soggy, and the noodles were coated in a sauce that lacked any type of flavor. It was just... sad. My daughter was provided with some cute kitty kids reusable chopsticks that she did use, so that was something that added a little value to our visit. Our check was around $65 before tip, and I have to say we will not be back.
