Baked bbq buns
Samantha H.

I've finally turned my husband on to dim sum and that's what he requested for his Father's Day dinner. While this isn't the best dim sum in town it is still tasty. We shared baked bbq buns, an egg roll, a shrimp spring roll, steamed shrimp dumplings, krab rangoons, and scallion pancakes. Everything was tasty although the bbq buns were a little dry and the scallion pancake was quite greasy. We ordered for takeout so I can't comment on the service or ambiance. The takeout did take quite longer than quoted but we weren't in a rush.

Supposed to be sweet and sour chicken. I wouldn't feed this to a dog.

There should be an option for negative stars. We ordered two sweet and sour chicken orders and chicken with green beans. Literally not a single thing was edible. When I opened the bag, I thought they had given us pork rinds instead of chicken. I've never ever in my life seen chicken as disgusting as what they decided was ok to serve to a customer. The green beans were completely mushy and looked like they've been sitting somewhere for a week. Never again.

Hard pass on the egg rolls.

We chose to dine here on Christmas Day. My friend suggested it, so I called and they said they were open til 9pm and do not take reservations. We all decided to meet at 7pm. Upon our arrival, the hostess informed us they weren't seating any more parties because they were too busy and people were complaining. We were disappointed after having drove twenty minutes to get there. Then a nice woman who worked there walked by and said not to worry, and she'd find a place for us. We were seated, and our waiter brought waters and menus to us promptly. We looked over the menu and ordered quickly so as not to delay them. We all got the $3.95 meal add-on of soup with egg roll. The soups came out and we all enjoyed, followed by the egg rolls, which were cold and filled with not much of anything. Not impressed with the egg rolls, we waited patiently for our entrees. Considering they were busy, we were served in a reasonable timeframe. We all ate our non-remarkable meals and vowed to do better research for next year's Christmas Day Chinese dinner, as this place is not one we'd be coming back to.

i ordered of uber eats, so i can not comment on the service or ambiance of the restaurant, but the food was delicious overall. a bit on service, i loved how they packaged everything for delivery, the cardboard box made it easy to transport and eat out of! as for the food, my favorite thing was the pork lo mein and the egg roll. the pork lo mein was loaded with huge hunks of roast pork, which i appreciate. and the egg roll! perfectly fried, and the wrapper was so good. i also got the beef and broccoli combo which came with pork fried rice. both were good, nothing spectacular. i enjoyed them but might order something different next time. one thing i wont get again is the crab rangoon. they weren't fried enough and it made them almost chewy? and the sauce had an odd flavor that i can't put my hand on. the filling was also flavorless. seemed like pure cream cheese and no flavoring aspects. overall, i'll be ordering again when i need a chinese takeout fix!! affordable and good. i ate for three days!!

Special Fried Rice Wonton Soup

Ordered takeout, from the phone call to getting to the store it was maybe 5 minutes and the food was ready when I got there. So very quick service, though this was a Thursday night and no one was in the store so maybe other days it's slower. That was the only outstanding part of this place. I ordered the special fried rice and for the first time in my life I've had bland Chinese food. Even in the cheapest Chinese buffets I've been to have had more flavor. The Wonton soup was good though, average, but good. Seriously though I guess I must thank them because I finally know what duck sauce taste like. I had to drown the rice in it to give it any flavor. Website said "Voted Best Chinese Restaurant in Davie & Cooper City 6 Years in a Row", if that's true I'd hate to see what the other places are serving.

The fried rice was bomb, garlic sauce for the chicken was good, wonton cheese appetizers were delicious. I love how heartwarming this place was, the service was genuine. The food was all fresh and the staff was very attentive. I felt so honored being here and just felt spoiled. They treated us right and I have the respect that they keep this place from generations of family owned. I can't wait to bring more people here to try this tasty food and a place where I feel like I'm home. Oh yeah the sesame balls are to die for, I could eat so many.

This is honey garlic chicken over a bed of white rice.

This little cute Chinese restaurant has been my husband and I favorite for years. Today I decided to finally write a review. We eat here so much the person who answers the phone already knows my husband's name and already knows exactly what he wants to order. My all time favorite are their soups and honey garlic chicken and shrimp fried rice with EXTRA BEANSPROUNTS! My husband loves the ribs and their pork fried rice with no bean sprouts.

Located off Stirling Road (accessible from both directions), Hong's BBQ sits amongst the various shops that make up the Stirling Place Plaza. If you're here based off your search for food around the Seminole Hard Rock Casino and Hotel Hollywood, you've got the same idea as us and this review is for you; Hong's is essentially "around the corner" from the casino and a great option if you want to venture off the resort for some great food. Recommended by a source for reliable eats, we decided to give Hong's BBQ a go before our trip back to Tampa. We found that Hong's BBQ has some great authentic Canto-style Chinese cuisine. Not big by any means (you can't necessarily host a large banquet style gathering here), there is definitely ample seating - mainly suited for parties of 4. We came around 1pm on a Sunday and had no issues being seated - although the restaurant maintained a steady flow of customers in and out of the restaurant. There are a few larger round tables scatter throughout with the typical lazy-susan setup in the center that may accommodate larger parties of 6-8. If you're not interested in dining-in, there is definitely a "butcher's" station/display that is set up toward the back of the dining section. The setup within the restaurant definitely brought back nostalgic memories of Chinatown restaurants and their racks of char-siu, roast duck, pig, and soy chicken hanging under the heating lamps. From here, you can order cuts of the aforementioned meats by weight without the "extras." The menu offered a great variety of Canto-style cuisine; I would argue that it's hard to go wrong with a choice based on their selections they have available. We ordered two noodle soups (roast duck and char siu), along with an order of the beef chow fun, which were all outstanding. Beginning with the noodle soups, you have 3 different noodle options; I opted for the flat rice noodles which I instantly craved upon identifying it as a choice. The noodles were cooked to al-dente perfection that had a good amount of "bounce" while easy to chew. The broth was also on a whole other level that warrants praise in itself. The beef chow fun is also a must - yes, I recognize that this may be considered a "basic" choice, but Hong's BBQ makes this the right way. The service wasn't poor - let's just say that it falls in line with the coveted 3-star Asian restaurant rating (If you know, you know). The servers knew how and when to deliver. All in all, Hong's BBQ is a great place to dine with your family. I would recommend this to anyone in or travelling to this area.

Heard about this place and wanted to try it's BBQ and roasted meats…read more We stopped by on a Thursday evening around 5. The eatery seats about 40 and is clean and simply decorated. It was empty. But it slowly got more diners, with about 5 tables filled before we left. Service was fine but the waitress who took our order barely spoke English and it was difficult getting answers about items on the menu. Nevertheless, we ordered pan-fried dumplings, the three meat combo plate with roast duck, BBQ roast pork, and crispy pork. We also got a seafood platter with salt and pepper shrimp, squid, and scallops. The latter didn't have much taste. We couldn't even taste any salt and pepper. The dish came on a bed of shredded raw cabbage. There was no rice. When I asked, the server (a different one from the woman who took our order) brought us a small bowl. They had forgotten to put the rice on the plate. (The dish is advertised as being served on a bed of rice.) The meat platter was decent. Although the duck skin needed to be crispier, the pork skin was very crispy. The BBQ roast pork was tasty, boasting a nice char siu flavor. The few strands of Chinese broccoli that was served with the dish was cold, as if it was added from the refrigerator. We enjoyed the pan-fried dumplings. They seemed to be homemade. One appetizer, two entrees, tax, and tip was $66.
