Everything about this place is terrible. The people who work here are nasty. But the food is truly nasty-inedible. I ordered the tuna wrap and had to spit it out. My husband got a roast beef wrap also disgusting. Don't get me started on the pasta salad Flavors were horrible and Everything painfully over salted - like wtf??? To top it off we sat outside in the picnic area where people next door were blowing leaves - not the restaurant's fault but didn't help contend with the absolutely disgusting food. Bf and I just took a chance and pulled in on a Sunday, not a car in the lot. I am so glad we did. Food was great! Pasta salad (side) is delicious!! He had the Po Boy and really enjoyed it. He didn't eat the roll it came in but said it had a nice little kick. I had the French dip. Very good as well. Only thing keeping it from excellent for me was that the rb was served cold...I prefer hot rb with au ju. But the au ju was piping hot. I was looking for a place with good salads and this restaurant came up on my Yelp search. Due to the high rating (4.6) I decided to give it a try. The place is set up like a casual restaurant where you order at the counter and they bring the food to you. When we walked in they had their radio set on a Christian station praising all kind of Christian ideology for all to hear. When we walked in, the lady behind the counter just looked at us with no welcoming smile nor attitude. I said Good morning and I got a slight smile from her. I then asked if they had any diabetes friendly items on the menu....She said...I don't know what that means ????!???!?! How can you work in a restaurant and not know what diabetes is ??? I then said, items with low sugar content. She still said, I don't know. So I decided to order a salad. Their Basco Salad was described as a bed of fresh greens and a nice Lomo on top. The salad came up fairly quickly and it was delicious. The boneless pork loin was well seasoned and warm. The greens were fresh and well balanced. Went here because nothing was really open down the cape. We walked into the restaurant and were not greeted by the lady at the front desk. We asked of we could sit anywhere. The lady, short brown hair classes older, told us in a condensing voice you order here. We ordered Fish and chips and the smashed avocado salad. Service time was pretty quick. We watched while we waited for food. The cashier, lady who took our order was rude to another gentleman who came in asking for a job for her daughter. She answered NO!! The guy tried to justify his question saying that his daughter was 14 years old and maybe that was too young to work. The cashier explained it was the winter and they barely had any customers. I read that other people had issues with other races. My wife is Hispanic, every other person was of caucasian race cashier was reasonably nice but never smiled or looked thrilled to be there. Just before we finished our food a younger worker took over the cashier position. My wife went to use the bathroom and I asked the new cashier is that lady the owner. Broad menu with lots of choices including seafood, burgers, chicken, salads, wraps, you get the idea. Food quality is excellent. What a great restaurant! Very creative food choices, fresh and beautifully prepared. It's so nice to have a huge selection from a chef who obviously loves food and isn't burnt out instead of the same old standard choices that are in hundreds of restaurants. We had the shop Po Boy, that was loaded with shrimp, a great salad with grilled thinly sliced pork on top. We also had the Brussel sprouts wrapped in bacon and the avocado stuffed with shrimp salad. They has a butternut bisque that was the best we've had in years. We always order lots of things to try as many ideas as we can. Probably needless to say, but we took a lot home. A good option for tasty sandwiches on the Cape. Two of us got the "Rooster" chicken sandwich with bacon jam and cheddar cheese. A massive sandwich, large perfectly fried breast. Nice flavor, perhaps a little heavy handed on the jam. I love spice but I'd ask them to scale that back a bit next time. The service was very friendly.
