When you stay here, you're totally at their mercy for food and drinks, with three choices. This place is one. They have exactly six entree choices. One wasnt available. We ordered a beer and wine, and waited 20 minutes for it to arrive. Fish and chips: like some shit you'd buy in the freezer section at the grocery store...clearly not fresh. Even though there were multiple servers, I guess we got the worst one. Hard to find, and then she showed up with a second order of drinks. Ultimately, this place is closing for the season and they don't give a shit anymore. Or, management is non-existent. Recommend you AVOID. read more

This is such a unique restaurant. Let me start with the only good things here. Firstly the view is phenomenal! On a clear day you can see Denali. Also their beer and wine selection is filled with local drinks. Now here is the bad. Firstly extremely mediocre food. It is also VERY overpriced. If you are staying at this hotel, there is not many options due to being so isolated. So you eat here or somewhere else at the hotel that is even more expensive and average. What's also confusing is the entrance. This is a bar setting but has multiple doors to enter. However you need to stop at a host stand that is labeled for another restaurant to get a table otherwise you will not be served by the staff. If you want everyone to come in from that entrance, label it properly. Especially when there was only one other family in the whole restaurant. Overall I wish this place was better and I wish I had more options to enjoy at this hotel. read more

So this is basically a Bar & Grill. Good cold beers and your basic Grill foods and in that you're in Alaska and of course Salmon on the menu I decided to go with the basic Cheese burger and added bacon and the wife wasn't to hungry and went with the Chips and salsa and paid the extra for Queso. The food came out very quick making me believe that the burger was precooked and they just warmed it up. The size of the burger was very thick and I would have preferred it Medium rare vs well done, hence why I believed it was precooked. All in all it rated ok, at least the fries tasted fresher. Now the chips and salsa weren't to bad until we dipped into the queso that we paid extra for... yup you guessed it... it was nacho cheese... really?!? You can't advertise queso and have people pay an extra $2 for a 1/2 cup of nacho cheese!!!! The beer was pretty tasty, the wife had the ale and I had the raspberry wheat, we were both satisfied with these choices. read more

We came to the lodge to check in after our long bus ride we checked into our rooms and decided to have lunch we ate the cheeseburger n fries great big patty n fries nice n crispy lunch was great tasting. After we sat in the lodge to digest and take lots of pictures of Mt Denali it was a warm and beautiful day a few clouds covering the mountains too. The date is June 26, 2022 we are on our land tour part of Majestic Princess that started on June 18, 2022. Wow....ignored several times, given incorrect seating info and then spoken to rudely 3 times by two servers! Tips need to be earned, not expected by default. If I didn't have a prepaid voucher, I would never come in here again but there are no other options. Princess McKinley Lodge....pick up your game in hiring at least pleasant people. Oh look....people beside me leaving for the exact same reason!!! Had a great and totally enjoyable evening at this bar fare restaurant inside the main lobby at Mt McKinney hotel. Had a great server Kevin who was very nice. Also very honest he gave some nice opinions which was very helpful for 1st time visitors. Food was very good to everyone in our party of 5. Barmaid made us special drinks per our request. They have a nice simple menu compired to the other restaurant which was more complex items and higher prices. Enjoy and enjoy more if you ask for Kevin. read more

After having a horrible experience at 20320 on property, we had excellent service at Base Camp Restaurant/Bar. The food was good and the service and atmosphere was superb. Julia and the rest of the staff went above and beyond to make our meal very joyable. Ypu would not even believe that the two restaurants were owned by the same company. read more

In one word the food is "disgusting" and tasteless. The coffee is inconsistent - some cups are fuller than others. We are not sure if any restaurant at this Lodge is any good based on other people's comments. Unfortunately, you are stuck here and Management is taking advantage of this. read more

Stopped in for dessert and drinks in the evening. Hardly anyone there at 9 pm but they still made us wait to be seated. Then we waited even longer to be served. Poor service and staff were grumpy. The Huckleberry ice cream was good, the mousse was only fair and the portion was very small. read more

I just realized I had written this review for the wrong place, so here it is for the right one: Read as 3.51. This is the more casual of the two restaurants in the lodge. No reservations are taken. They share a hostess stand. We had lunch here yesterday after arriving from the Denali Princess Wilderness Lodge. We had arrived on the early side and our room wasn't ready. To complicate matters, the facility was recovering from a 12 hour power outage the previous day. We were in no hurry and lunch seemed like a good way to pass the time. The hostess welcomed us warmly and after a short wait we were seated. We wanted something light. I ordered the hummus plate. The hummus was delicious and came w/ pita wedges, finely chopped red onion, artichoke hearts, chopped tomatoes, kalamata olives and feta. Alan had a Bacon Cobb salad w/o the bacon. I had hot black tea to drink. It was a good light lunch. I was pleased w/ how well balanced the hummus was and w/ all the accoutrements, although the kalamatas were a bit too salty and the artichoke heart could have used a stronger marinade.
