I love Preston Playhouse - it's a really cool rec center offering pickleball, padel and a bar to relax for work events and family/friend get-togethers. In DFW there are what I call "Pickleball Operations" and "Places That Offer Pickleball." Unfortunately where I am in the game, Preston Placehouse is more of a "Place That Offers Pickleball" - which isn't what I'm looking for but may be great for you. The courts are colorful and (mostly) in great shape and the spacing is pretty good. They have morning ($10) and evening ($15) open plays which isn't the most expensive in town but not the cheapest. The Open Plays are All Levels, so a bit of a gamble in terms of the quality of player you will find. Last night I found some really good ones but there weren't many. When I first went there there were more, but it seems like they may be choosing places like Pickler Universe and The Picklr. Preston Playhouse though is a fun atmosphere and great place to bring friends or your own group but it's not a pickleball community focused on ramping up competition or teaching skills and it doesn't try to be.

It consists of one gym room with equipments with some workout rooms such as yoga class room, an indoor pool, and separate men and women dressing rooms. This time it was JANUARY, FEBRUARY, and MARCH. which is common but that last manager told me my payment would not be due till May 1st. Well she's no longer there and I was trusting enough to not get documentation ( won't happen again) . Magically though they were able to text me that I owed $64 and some change . I tried for a whole week to get the new GM on the phone , never did . My physical therapist finally allowed me to get off bed rest on Friday to find out why I wasn't contacted and the 2 times I went the new GM wasn't there and was told he dosent work weekends ( hey good for him) , never heard of a GM not working on weekends, they are the last chance to seal the deal . This place has a lot of bad reviews and the are not exaggerated, but with that said you get what you pay for . If you join I would ask for a physical receipt and watch your Cc bill . Still as a gym it has everything I need besides good customer service .
