I met with David in July 2024, and even though my wedding wasn't until April 2026, he made himself incredibly available throughout that entire time. Whether it was meeting in person, texting, or chatting over the phone, David was always there to answer the many questions that arose during our extensive wedding planning. He was so easy to work with, exceptionally thorough with information, and even provided great suggestions along the way. Additionally, Irene's Bakery--the bakery the venue partners with--was fantastic! The cake was delicious and delivered right on time. We also worked with DJ Ivan, who did an amazing job! He executed our timeline perfectly and played exactly the songs I had requested. On the day of the wedding, our reception went incredibly smoothly. The room was set up exactly according to the floor plan we had discussed. There was plenty of staff on hand, ensuring that both the head table and every guest table were well taken care of. Everyone was attentive and brought a wonderful, positive energy to the evening. As both the bride and the planner of my own wedding, I intentionally tried to keep things relatively simple--and even so, everything turned out absolutely beautifully. I didn't have to stress or worry about a single thing on our big day. I highly recommend Royal Affairs Ballroom for a wedding or any other milestone event. Thank you so much, David & Royal Affairs Ballroom!

We've had 2 weddings at this location and David and his staff were beyond stellar. From our first meetings, until the night of the event, David and the staff stayed in contact with us. We really never had to worry about anything. If we asked David for something special - example, daughter loves Dr. Pepper - it was there. I wish I had taken a picture of the Dr. Pepper bottles on the bar. Still makes me smile when I think about it. Our last wedding was on December 14, 2024. I was nervous about this time frame due to private parties and other weddings. With this date, and other special events happening at Royal Affairs, I was concerned with setup time as I, mother of the bride, was the setup team. David worked with the schedule of other parties, as well as our availability, and made it possible for us to setup before the wedding rehearsal. We got the much-needed rehearsal, and my daughter got a first look at the decorated venue. She was very VERY happy. The day of the event, everything was perfect when we walked in. We were able to get into the Ballroom early for dressing, pictures, etc. Timing was never an issue as, we spoke with David beforehand and he made everything come together for us. Both of our weddings were beyond special and we have David and the Royal Affairs Ballroom to thank. I HIGHLY recommend them. Thank you, David and Royal Affairs. Both of my kids had beautiful wedding and we can honestly say, you had a hand in this

It is HUGE - definitely the largest splash pad I've seen in terms of sheer size. It is designed so that the water spouts at the top of the splash pad form a small river that flows down to the lower area, where there are more spouts, plus rocks to climb on and grassy (turf) hills to roll down. My kids like bringing small toys and racing them down the river. The real star here is the shaded observation area for the mamas, though. There is no other park that treats us so well, providing expansive shade tents all the way around the park. There are picnic tables, but for the most part it's BYOC (bring your own chair) - or blanket - and set up shop on the turf, under the shade, in an elevated spot so you can keep an eye on the littles playing below. The bathrooms are new and usually pretty clean, although sometimes they do still smell like a porta potty. The splash pad hours are kind of a bummer, with the water not turning on until 10am. In the peak heat of the summer, we would be there waiting right at 10, but by 12:30 or so the water already felt like bath water - not refreshing and honestly kind of gross. I wish it opened at 8am so we could enjoy it for longer. Now that summer is over, the splash pad is only open on the weekends. They have a super helpful and very clear calendar which posts the hours here: https://www.highlandvillage.org/calendar.aspx?CID=31&showPastEvents=false There is a traditional playground directly adjacent to the splash pad, but it's unremarkable - certainly nothing you'd drive out of your way for. The rest of the park is BEAUTIFUL and well landscaped. I'm not sure what they use that massive pavilion for, but honestly I think it makes a case for a good wedding venue! If you're looking for a splash pad to add to your summer rotation, put this one on the list.

I'm in Texas for a little while visiting family, so we decided to load up the kids, along with my niece and nephew, and check out Launch Family Entertainment. We found a Groupon that included two admissions and two $10 arcade cards for a decent price, which was a great value for everything they have to offer. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with friendly smiles and a warm welcome. The excitement on the kids' faces was immediate! We only planned to stay about an hour so they could burn off some energy, and let's just say...mission accomplished. We didn't come for the food--we came for the fun--but they do have food available if you want to make a day of it. I can easily see why this would be a great place for birthday parties, team celebrations, or just a family outing. Honestly, there's something here for everyone. The atmosphere is energetic with a laid-back vibe. Between the colorful lights, arcade games, bowling lanes, gladiator-style battles, trampolines, basketball dunk zones, and so many other attractions, it's impossible to get bored. Our group ranged from 3 years old all the way to 17...and let's not forget the "big kids" somewhere between 38 and 44. Everyone had an amazing time! By the time we left, the kids were completely exhausted, which made this mama very happy. They slept like rocks that night! If you're ever in the area, I highly recommend bringing the whole family to Launch Family Entertainment. It's a great way to make memories, burn off some energy, and have fun together. Go check it out...and thank me later, as always!

It was $15 for one hour, but he was tired and done before then. The far drive and price was so worth the fun adventure. First off, they do have a designated toddler time every Friday and Saturday between 9-11am for ages 5 and under. Our toddler couldn't make that time, but did just fine with the older kids around. Joey Time, the toddler area, had an indoor playground with slides, grocery/ice cream area, and an airplane to steer/sit inside. My son couldn't resist the trampoline area! He had a good ol' time bouncing around from trampoline to trampoline . The restrooms were kept clean. Make sure the kiddos wear the grip socks. This place obviously has something fun for all ages from arcade games to climbing structures. We shall be back in the future!
