I purchased my first handgun at baseline pawn. A black tarus revolver. Still have it. Awful sights on it but the gun metal was beautiful. It bought it in a locked position without a key unbeknownst to me. I was 21 at the time. Asked for a key and it wasn't provided. I had to purchase a key on eBay to actually use the revolver. Years later on my review, I find the owner has no record of my purchase and claims I gave a false review. Classic. Poor service and can't take accountability. Go somewhere else unless you want to support a local business. I can get behind that at least. read more

After my regular FFL was too full to take an online gun transfer, I quickly started panic calling places looking for an alternative. After the first 10 places declined to help, I was so relieved when Sheila answered the phone and assured me she would make room for my incoming rifle. After getting a call my rifle had arrived, I rushed down where Sheila and her mom greeted me when I walked in. After a couple min wait on my background check to clear, I was the proud owner of another US Made AK. Went into this shop on Father's Day looking for a ukulele for my husband. To my surprise, they had one. My son and I checked it out and I went on amazon to check reviews. When checking I realized that for $10 more I could get the ukulele and all of the extras, brand new. I asked the guy if the price was negotiable, he very rudely told me that the price was set and to have a nice day (his tone said otherwise). This is a pawn shop, my family has owed pawn shops so I know how this works and if a customer says hey, can you negotiate, you negotiate. I would have purchased the ukulele if he had taken $5 more off of the price but his rudeness and lack of customer service sent me down the road, where I spent more money, simply out of principle. I moved to the area about 2 years ago and needed a loan so went into Baseline pawn. They were very nice and gave me a fair price. I have been back several times since and have always been treated with respect. There came a time when I needed a couple more days on my loan and it was no problem at all. I would give less than a star if had that option service. Was always good did some business there actually really liked the shop till I brought something in was offered more money on a loan that I got said no just want do 150 so I can get out need my item back and that's all I needed came to pick up item they couldn't find it promised me Monday they would have offered me one of there's to barow I said no came back Monday told me had come back at 4 I did left again without out my item so now I've spent money in fuel my time finally they call tell me we will just refund your loan that's it had told me at one point would give my money back plus 150 so two times they didn't honor what I was told obviously sold my item wich literally used twice for about 5 min was just for emergency situations I'm out my item can't afford buy another one just for getting a loan if situations were they pawned something to me and I lost I would make sure I made things right every body want to no why the wold is the way it is cause people can't honor there word I might not have alot of money but least I no I'm honest sucks that local businesses can't be fewer and fewer of good ma and pop places anymore read more

If I could give it one star, I would. Everyone in here went against all the covid guidelines. Its fine if you want to be a jackass, but don't risk other people's family's and don't mock the people who actually care. Onto the store itself, everything was incredibly dirty and way to overpriced. They had old iPads for over 300$. If you google it, they come out to 160$. They sale 2$ bills from 1995 for 10$! They were incredibly rude to the customers and not much help at all. I would strongly deter anyone from shopping at this Pawn shop. I went into this pawn shop looking for a personal weapon for home defense. At first the customer service was nice and everyone seemed helpful. I brought my husband back to look at the weapon as well. When we arrived the woman behind the counter was friendly and seemed knowledgeable of her inventory, until we left the store where the woman stated "next time come back with some money and we can talk." Little did she know we had money to spend. We returned the next day hoping to trade our weapon with a similar shorter weapon. The woman seemed irritated with us and acted as though she didn't want our business. I understand that they may not have been able to trade our weapon straight across, however she didn't even want to discuss purchasing the weapon or discussing what kind of trade she could make. We ended up finding the same weapon as she had in her store, for half the price; also used with a scope on the weapon that costs more than the weapon does. So in a way she helped us, find what we wanted, for a better price, with awesome accessories and we received excellent customer service from Gun Broker in Tigard. If you wish to waste your money on the high prices, condescending attitude and lack of wanting to sell their inventory, then by all means this is the place for you. I will not ever step foot into this shop again and I will tell everyone I know the same. read more

We went in to look around, and the second we walked thru the door, a very rude woman behind the counter yelled "What are you looking for?". We just wanted to look around, and also look at their guns. To possibly buy one. She never said "Welcome", just very awful. It made me so uncomfortable, after I had asked a question about an item, and she snapped back with an (aquisitory) attitude, I looked at my husband, and told him I would meet him outside. Please note, I was no more then Ten ft into the door. My Husband and I are professional people, and have never been treated in such a hostile way when entering a store. That is to bad, I had hopes we could purchase items there, but I promise, we will never ever enter your business again. We have also told everyone we know(PS, we do live locally) how bad the experience was, just to let you know. Not everyone who enters you store is pawning items, or trying to steal from you. I told the woman behind the counter I spend my time volunteering in a Christian ministry and she went on this long tirade about how Christians are the scum of the earth and said she hates everyone of us. Before this I'd redeemed loans for an acquaintance I was trying to help get her stuff back because they had told her and loaned her way less than it was actually worth. The woman behind the counter grabbed her when she found out I was paying off the loan and told her that I was dangerous and would hurt her loud enough for me to hear. When I objected I was threatened to have the police called or be removed physically if I didn't leave. Everything here is overpriced. They give loans way lower than any other shop I've been in, Go to USA Pawn or Hillsboro Pawn. They will give you much better loans and treat you better. read more

I love this pawn shop. A lot of the BS people post about baseline has to be unfounded. The lady has taken care of me for years. She always asks how I've been and lets me vent about my girlfriends. They have also given me higher than asking price on my items before to pawn items. I've been to many other pawn shops in the area but I drive to baseline pawn from the other side of town passing several other shops on he way just to do business way back in forest grove at baseline. I'm not too worried about what happens on judge Judy. I'm more worried about my real life, and I get treated with respect at baseline pawn. Which is why I keep returning. I'll be heading back here today to buy my rifle back from a pawn loan that they were generous enough to help me out with to pull me through some tough times. Please patronize baseline. I love these nice local people who try hard to make me happy every time. I feel like they are family to me. I don't go to pawnshops to bond with the employees. Actually, I go to pawnshops to shop, so can't comment from the perspective of people that go there for 'quick cash'. I know how to budget and live within my means, so I don't need quick cash. That out of the way ... for me it's about variety, selection and quality of goods. Those who don't understand how a cash business works and how to haggle, need not apply. Pawnshops are in a low margin business - to make money. They are not charitable organizations. Baseline pawn has great selection of things I like to shop around for. Great variety of guns. I've met few pawnshop employees with great personalities. I think they see it all, day in and day out, and they understandably get jaded. That's fine. I care about WIFM (what's in it for me). Sheila's fine to deal with. and yes it's funny the reviews coming from people out of state based on a Judge Judy episode. Judge Judy is a jerk, but she seems fair in the end. I typically hate pawn shops because no one ever has anything good to offer. That is not the case with this place. I went in looking for a guitar for my son for his birthday and I found exactly what I was looking for and the owner (Sheila I think was her name) was nothing but helpful and professional. I ended up spending two hours in there looking at everything she had to offer and I was very impressed. Definitely not your typical pawn shop, great place and I will be back!!! read more

I use Baseline Pawn quite a bit, From pawning poorly bought Xmas presents from distant relatives, to buying DVDs, tools, and fun items id probably pay triple for elsewhere.
