The house is so much more livable, the humidity in the house dropped, and no more musty odor. The concrete has held up very well, no signs of chipping, a few cracks, but that is to be expected with concrete, and doesn't effect how well it still is working. They warned me that the house was going to pop and make noise afterwards, for a month or so, and it did, but then settled out. I had many areas where the drywall was cracked before I had the crawl sealed, I repaired them after the crawl was done, and they never came back. I've used Acey for our sump pump needs for around 13 years, and he's honest, hard-working, and has…read morehigh ethics. Recently, I decided to have our two (battery and regular) sump pump lines buried (yes, they were above ground for 16 yrs!) and at first Acey said take it out at least 40 feet and I said how about 20 feet. So he buried them 20 feet out but we found out the water was not draining enough from the pop up drain, and instead finding its way to our foundation. When I told Acey, he came out, and extended it another 50 feet (70 feet total), and he discounted his rate, since the first time did not work well. I really give credit to him, because he originally wanted to A) extend it out 40 feet or B) extend it & attach it to a city drain in our neighbor's yard and I talked him out of it. When it turned out his better judgment was the correct one, we paid him more, but he was kind enough to discount our rate. So, total was $2650.00 but honestly, it's tough to have a 70 foot pipe installed correctly for less than that, especially supervised by a licensed professional. And, another thing I like about Acey is he will tell you things you can fix on your own. Example, we had a small leak in our basement, after the July 4th rain. Acey put my hose into the window well, turned it on, and pointed out how drain was clogged where water leaked in, and told us how to clear it. We cleared it on our own, and shored up the dirt around the foundation, and we caulked the window inside and outside. The next hard rain, we had zero moisture. He'll tell you what he'd charge, but he also gives you the opportunity and advice to do it yourself. He's all about helping you save. So, he's our guy!
