I was looking to have the floors in my investment condo buffed and stained post tenant move out. Carlos was easily available via text and phone and after a few exchanges, we were able to agree to a fair price. Prior to the job, Carlos sent me a COI as needed by the building. On the day of, Carlos arrived promptly with another employee along with all the equipment and material. After showing him the problem areas, he assured me that the job would be done to my satisfaction and he certainly kept his word. I returned 4 hours later and although, I could only peep from the door, the floors looked great when I did finally enter the unit 3 days later (allowing plenty of time to let the oil dry). We are extremely dissatisfied with our experience with Romexterra Restoration. We experienced a…read moreflood on July 4, and as of Wednesday, July 22, we have received minimal communication regarding the status of the work or next steps. We have left multiple voicemails for our project manager, Barrett, without receiving a response. We also had two scheduled appointments where someone was supposed to come out and check the moisture readings, but no one showed up. A technician finally came to our home this morning and discovered that the company's dehumidifiers had been connected to a pipe that was not draining properly, resulting in standing water in our basement. The technician also found that mold had begun growing in the area where the equipment was improperly installed. To date, neither my husband nor I have heard from anyone regarding how Romexterra plans to address the additional water damage or mold caused by this issue. A flood cut has not been performed, and we have not received any clear remediation plan or timeline. This situation has been incredibly frustrating and concerning. We expected a restoration company to help prevent further damage after a flood, not contribute to additional damage while failing to communicate with us.

Igor's team was fantastic from beginning to end--I had originally contacted them through email, and they called back almost immediately to discuss materials, size of room, and what we were looking for. Igor then visited two days later to do a full measure of the room and lugged in (literally) 10 pounds of different flooring samples for us to choose from. After we chose the material, he had a quote to us within 24 hours and an appointment set up shortly after. The team during installation was great as well--they were polite, prompt, and extremely efficient. They took up all my old floor and carpet and laid down the flooring quickly, moving my furniture for me and keeping any dust to a bare minimum. They made sure to clean up at the end of the day (the project took 2.5 days) and swept up dust nightly. We had a small issue with the wrong material being delivered, and Igor was able to resolve that immediately, personally driving out the next day just to install some edging on the top of the stairs. The installation took him just under 30 minutes, and he drove out over an hour just to do that for us. Overall, they were great and I will recommend them to anyone and everyone for their future flooring needs.

They quoted a ridiculous $2000 to cut out a few places of drywall in the two bathrooms which wouldn't have been more than a few hours of work. I thought they were going to replace it and repair it but they said no. The estimate was awkwardly written and hard to interpret. When I asked them to detail any material costs and the number of hours of labor they refused and ended up not responding.
