Today, I started with the pork spring rolls. They were quite large. They were served piping hot and were delicious. The texture reminded me a lot of South American corn and tapioca style breads and breading. A large focus on tapioca starch which works very well in the spring rolls. I also ordered the back pepper beef, and the garlic black beans. I had no idea of the abundance and freshness of the food. Also served piping hot. I barely got through either of the dishes. At this point, I realized that one dish would likely be enough and I likely had enough food for a small family. Excellent value. I'm leaving with enough food for dinner as well. The place is clean, the staff is very knowledgeable, and everyone is very friendly. Every time I'd go in to buy waffles, they'd offer a free sample of something new they were developing and it was always delicious. Once they moved to a bigger retail location and preparing more foods such as gluten free pasta and frozen meals such as lasagna and even shepherd's pie. They have fresh desserts and pastries available each day, and also do amazing layer cakes to order. My daughter's request every birthday is for the strawberry shortcake. I chose a booth by the window. I got menus to peruse. There were two other tables with customers. It was nice. Hot tea came to me with two cups. The hot tea was exceptionally piping hot. I used both cups to pour tea into them and let them cool. I was ready to order. It took a long time to get a server to come over. The woman at the counter noticed that I was ready and flagged the male server to take my order. I got these items: - Soda lemonade - Grilled chicken on vermicelli with spring rolls My soda lemonade came first. It was fizzy, cold, and refreshing. I loved it so much. I would get it again in a heartbeat. It also helped me down my food as I waited for my hot tea to cool down.
