It is very convenient to get to this restaurant. It's just next to a streetcar stop. That's my first impression, lol. It was our first time entering this chained restaurant. We ordered five dishes to try. My favourite was definitely the Famous Pad Thai. I was amazed by it. The taste, aroma, and presentation were all perfect! I guess it is their signature dish. My second love dish was the appetizer Vegetarian Rolls. The dish was fried to a just-right degree that the flour layer was crispy but the vegetable inside was still juicy and crunchy. This restaurant is good to come with family or friends and I'm thinking to come again. However, we won't order the other 3 dishes we ordered this time. They were average or even a bit lower than that. Sorry to say that but I won't order the Green Mango salad and the Stir Fried Vegetables. I didn't enjoy the Tom Yam either but I don't have examples in other restaurants to compare. read more

I'm not sure how this place is in business because every time I walk by it it's absolutely empty when we came here. It was just the two of us that were eating and for a good 45 minutes no one was in and out including Uber delivery. The Thai iced tea I have is good. I found that my pad thai was a little bit more spicy than I would've wanted it to be. read more

I came here with my ex-coworker for dinner. restaurant is located on King Street near a TTC stop which was pretty easy to get to. When I first walked in, I was greeted by a young girl. I am guessing she is probably an owner of the restaurant. Most people do take out from this restaurant. The restaurant serves Thai and Malay food. We were the only people dining on a Tuesday night. I got the Massaman Curry with lamb. It came with rice for $18. It was interesting on the first bite there was something that tasted like licorice. It had to be the sprinkle of garnish that they placed on top. I personally don't like licorice but luckily they didn't put a lot. The curry had a nice rich flavor to it. My ex-coworker and I shared two appetizer. We got beef skewers (a dish came with two skewers) and spring rolls (a dish came with two spring rolls) to share. We loved the beef skewers. The peanut sauce was delicious. They were very generous on the beef skewers. My friend ordered the special of the day. Pad See Ew with chicken. She said her dish was very tasty. Because we checked in on Yelp we got 10% off the meal. My bill came to $25 before tip after discount and my friend bill came to $21 before tip after discount. Portion size was pretty good and we left full. The restaurant is very small and like many restaurants in Toronto, the restaurant is very narrow. The service was good. Only one server. The server was very sweet. I felt like it is a family ran business. When I walked into the restaurant, the restaurant did have this strong ammonia cleaner smell. I am guessing they used that chemical to mop the floor. The décor of the restaurant was not bad. It had that nice Thai feel when you walk in. We were standing outside debating if we should try this place for dinner, when a friendly guy out walking his dog stop by and mention that this was his favourite Thai place. With the impromptu recommendation, we decided to try it out. We were pleasantly surprised by the quantity and quality of the food here. When we arrived it was empty, but as we enjoy your meal the space steadily filled with other patrons. Obviously a popular neighbourhood restaurant! I had the golden curry with chicken and it was fragrant, creamy and delicious. Definitely a rice stealer as they went so well together. Great service as well. read more

Hunger can make you crazy. It can also make you order food through offers that seem to good to be true. Turns out, it was. I had procrastinated myself into a very late lunch and see this offer through Uber Eats for 2-4-1 Pad Thai and spring rolls. I look at the pictures here, and besides the one with the roach in it (disgusting, certainly not excuseable but they are in almost every kitchen so I think it's a one off) the Pad Thai and food looks pretty tasty. Presentation is good and the dark color of the Pad Thai says to me it's real tamarind sauce. It wasn't. The sauce was dry and clumpy, red and light and very clearly mostly made up of Ketchup. Yeah, for those who don't know, cheater Pad Thai sauce uses Ketchup which was what this is. Not a lot of chicken either. It's 2-4-1 Pad Thai so expectations were low, but this was awful. Spring rolls were two for $4.99 and if it hasn't been also 2 for 1 I'd have felt very ripped off. Not that good, bland and lacking in flavor. The order arrived super quick, so that was a plus, but it was by far the worst Thai food I've ever had. Definitely do not recommend read more

I tried their menus couple of times pre-covid, it was a hit and miss. Their Malaysian curry was yum, appropriate for my SE Asian taste buds. Pad thai was not a recommended dish, as it was too oily, tad too sweet; tried it twice, last order was for take out and it was mushy when I opened (It's just 3 minutes walk from where I live) But the last order I had last Saturday, Nov 14 was such a disappointment. I ordered vegetable tom yum for takeout and they basically just gave a bowl of soup with some scrap/left over of fillings, contained 2 chopped florets of half broccoli, bits & pieces of broccoli stems, a (ONE) quarter small piece of mushroom, a chunk of ginger, and 4 small cubes of tofu. First time trying thai food here and it was pretty good! Weird location, but the food was great! I had the shrimp curry pad thai and it was beautifully presented with a TON of shrimp and marinated tofu. Most thai places skimp on the shrimp, but there was plenty! Picture attached, the curry sauce used for the noodles was also very flavorful and spicy, but not *too* spicy. My boyfriend had the beef Malay curry, and it was soooo good! This curry does not have a coconut base like thai curries do, so the taste was heavier, aromatic and more spicy than thai curry, but still not too spicy! And the beef was so good!!! I don't think the Malay one would go well with shrimp due to the heavier flavour, so I think beef is the best choice. And the bowl of rice that came with the curry was HUGE! Everything was really good although we got the thai wings for an appetizer and those were just okay - they don't have much flavour aside from the sauce you dunk it in, wish we had gotten the calamari instead, that will have to wait for next time. Got there to pick up as per the app saying it's ready... and had to wait another 30 mins there to actually get my order. This has become my new go-to restaurant in the neighborhood for Thai food. We've tried several of their vegetarian dishes and all have been delicious. Some of favorites includes the Bangkok Style Pad Thai, the Thai Chili Tofu, the Red Curry, and the Malay Curry. The service is friendly and they are happy to provide recommendations of what to order. I didn't like much about my kind of sweet and sour chicken, but my friend love the fried rice. I ordered delivery through Skip the Dishes from this place - the cold spring rolls, and the "oodles of noodles" (and two drinks, because TAKEOUT BOOZE!). The cold spring rolls were HUGE, though filled with quite a bit of lettuce that overtook most of the other flavours. Not BAD though - also very filling! The dish called "oodles of noodles" may not be the most authentic Thai dish on the menu, but I was INCREDIBLY impressed! It was a huge portion of thick yellow noodles with a bit of heat, and served with a generous portion of peanut sauce. Went here as I had a Ritual promo. Ordered the chicken pad thai, quick, fast and stayed warm for take out...20 minutes after ordering. My only criticism is that there wasn't much chicken or other I ingredients. I'd say 80% noodles and the rest chicken, egg or tofu. The beef has always been tough whenever I've ordered it and be specially careful to ask if what you're ordering is sweet - they add sugar to several dishes and you might as well eat a few slabs of chocolate!! Visited this cozy place for dinner on Friday night. The ambiance is pretty cool. Tea lights on all tables. Ordered the red Thai curry, grilled chicken and Pad Kee Mao. The Thai curry with rice was the best. It was heavy, but yummy. The pad Kee Mao was super spicy, next time I would ask them to go a notch lower in terms of spice level. The chicken was okay, it came with a lot of store fried veggies and salad. Tried the Thai ice tea too, which was standard. Overall a good place to dine in. I wanted to like this place, but the food was SO bad. The pad Thai has to be the worst I've ever had. Made with ketchup, not one green sprout. It was just a mush of noodles and ketchupy sauce. I ordered chicken and got chicken, tofu and shrimp. So disappointing! Good thing I don't have a seafood allergy. The red curry was actually a light pink with cooked lettuce, yeap you read right, lettuce. At first I thought it was cabbage, but nope stirred in it were pieces of lettuce. I used to love this restaurant but not anymore -- the food and service is atrocious. A few days ago I ordered two dishes online and when they didn't arrive after more than an hour, I called the restaurant. The woman on the phone told me the order had gone out but she couldn't get a hold of her delivery driver and asked me to call back in 15 mins if it wasn't at my door. It didn't arrive, so I called back and spoke to another employee who again told me his driver wasn't responding. This employee said he'd track down the driver and call me back after in a few minutes, he never did. I had to chase the staff who seemed inexperienced in dealing with order issues. After two hours of not getting my food, and numerous phone calls, I told them I wanted to cancel my order, the employee apologised and told me they were going to credit my account. Five minutes later, my food arrived. The driver refused to believe I had a credit and told me the food was remade 20 minutes ago (which was a lie) and I had to pay half of the bill. Annoyed, frustrated, and hungry, I did but I really shouldn't have. My order was FREEZING COLD and the curry dish was nearly translucent and tasted like oil not curry -- I threw the food out. Absolutely appalled by the food and service! This was my neighbourhood gem but now it's a FLOP. read more
