    Golden curry with chicken

We were standing outside debating if we should try this place for dinner, when a friendly guy out walking his dog stop by and mention that this was his favourite Thai place. With the impromptu recommendation, we decided to try it out. We were pleasantly surprised by the quantity and quality of the food here. When we arrived it was empty, but as we enjoy your meal the space steadily filled with other patrons. Obviously a popular neighbourhood restaurant! I had the golden curry with chicken and it was fragrant, creamy and delicious. Definitely a rice stealer as they went so well together. Great service as well.

Good place for Thai food, service is a little slow but man is the food awesome. A+ for presentation as well

My coworkers and I decided to order from Thai Room through Ubereats for lunch time. I liked that the delivery came really fast but other than that, I've had better Thai food. I went with shrimp pad thai which was good but not the best I've ever tasted. I also thought it was overpriced for the amount of food I got. My other coworker thought her food was a bit salty. Thai Room wouldn't be my first choice to order from in the future.

Portion size was very good, food was mediocre. Curry was watery and bland, pad thai was ok. Spring rolls were the best part of the meal.

I never leave a review on Yelp, but I had to warn others. I bought a chicken pad thai yesterday and found a cockroach in it! I don't plan on eating here again and would avoid it at all costs.

This place is so cozy and we came right before closing time and we they still took us in. They didnt rush us at all, the waitress was really nice to us. I ordered the chicken fried rice with basil, which tasted amazing. I was really starving too lol. My boyfriend ordered the pad thai which was good. The portions were fairly big. The prices were fair as well. I look forward to coming here again.

    A very sad tom yum

I tried their menus couple of times pre-covid, it was a hit and miss. Their Malaysian curry was yum, appropriate for my SE Asian taste buds. Pad thai was not a recommended dish, as it was too oily, tad too sweet; tried it twice, last order was for take out and it was mushy when I opened (It's just 3 minutes walk from where I live) But the last order I had last Saturday, Nov 14 was such a disappointment. I ordered vegetable tom yum for takeout and they basically just gave a bowl of soup with some scrap/left over of fillings, contained 2 chopped florets of half broccoli, bits & pieces of broccoli stems, a (ONE) quarter small piece of mushroom, a chunk of ginger, and 4 small cubes of tofu. I feel cheated. It's a complete rip off. Definitely will not going back.

Bangkok Pad Thai - a savoury version of the regular pad thai. Really enjoyed this and the portion was quite big as you can see.

Had a really great lunch here - by myself. I generally don't eat on my own but going in for takeout, I noticed many people were ordering the Bangkok Pad Thai or Chicken Rice and eating alone in the restaurant- amazing choice because I got to eat everything fresh! The star of my lunch was definitely the Mango Coconut Sticky Rice. Made with purple and white rice, this sticky rice was served with a pretty mango rose!

Shrimp curry pad thai - portion is much bigger than it looks, that bowl is DEEP!

First time trying thai food here and it was pretty good! Weird location, but the food was great! I had the shrimp curry pad thai and it was beautifully presented with a TON of shrimp and marinated tofu. Most thai places skimp on the shrimp, but there was plenty! Picture attached, the curry sauce used for the noodles was also very flavorful and spicy, but not *too* spicy. My boyfriend had the beef Malay curry, and it was soooo good! This curry does not have a coconut base like thai curries do, so the taste was heavier, aromatic and more spicy than thai curry, but still not too spicy! And the beef was so good!!! I don't think the Malay one would go well with shrimp due to the heavier flavour, so I think beef is the best choice. And the bowl of rice that came with the curry was HUGE! Everything was really good although we got the thai wings for an appetizer and those were just okay - they don't have much flavour aside from the sauce you dunk it in, wish we had gotten the calamari instead, that will have to wait for next time. Service was very attentive, our glasses were never empty and they were really nice and very knowledgeable about the menu. We will definitely return!

It was a huge appetizer and the sauce was great to dip the crispy fritters in. For our main, we got Shrimp Pad Thai and Tofu & Veggies Pad See Ew. Both were equally just as good. We ordered 2 cocktails to start with the tapioca dumplings and green papaya fritters. The drinks came out immediately. I had the Tincture Perfect, which was outstanding. It was the perfect mix of sweet, sour, floral and bitter. I loved it! My husband had the Unit 75 which he really enjoyed. The grapfruit bitters rounded out the sweetness of the Chambord and the sourness of the lemon. We decided to order another cocktail each just as our food arrived. I had the I Have a Lychee Secret. It was a little on the sweet side, but was very yummy. I loved the black pepper on top but didn't really taste much cilantro. My husband had La Passionista which was great. It was so well-balanced and flavourful. The dumplings were AMAZING! The butterly pea infused tapioca gave the perfect bouncy, chewy texture to the outside and the mushroom and radish centres were so tasty. Our waitress explained that they should be eaten in a lettuce cup with cilantro, mint and peanuts. YUM! Such a flavour bomb. The only thing I would have changed would be to add some sort of a spicy, salty, sour dipping sauce like a nuoc cham. The green papaya fritters were also just fantastic. They were crispy, crunchy and the dipping sauce was a little spicy and sweet. All in all, we really enjoyed our meal and would 100% return. I have already reccomended them to others.
