Yum yum yum! It was delicious and authentic! Loved it! The pork with rice excellent so was the pho. Very good food with great service.

We came here to grab a bowl of Pho on a very cold day. The servers here waived us to our seats and we got to ordering. I ordered the Deep Fried Spring Rolls (Cha Gio), Chicken Wings (Canh Ga Chien), and the Special Beef Noodle Soup (Pho Dac Biet). I didn't really like the appetizers. The spring rolls were not very flavourful. I found them to be quite starchy. The chicken wings were crunchy, but had a bland taste. At least they came to our table piping hot. The Pho is definitely their specialty here. The broth had a well rounded flavour. The aroma was not overpowered by the star anise and the broth was seasoned well. The bowl of pho had adequate amounts of meat which is also a welcoming sign. Overall, a great place for Pho that is cheap but satisfyingly good.

I've had dinner at Pho Vaughan a few times now and the food is excellent. I've ordered both the pho with beef brisket as well as the grilled chicken rice dish. The pho broth is flavorful and just perfect. The pho is definitely filling and makes for a great meal on a cold winter day. I really enjoyed the grilled chicken dish. The chicken was not overcooked and was marinated perfectly. The dipping sauce is definitely authentic and I suggest drizzling it on the rice if you like spice. It goes well with the fried egg. The rice dish also comes with a bowl of broth. They take cash or debit. However, the debit machine is old school. You can almost imagine the beeping sounds from the 2400 baud modem.

Honestly, I am very disappointed . I came here few years ago and was disappointed with the food but was hungry so thought give this place a 2nd chance. But unfortunately just disappointed in general. Came in with just 1 table and 1 customer came afterwards. I sat down and waiting for tea or water but server ignored. He came and serve the customer that came before me with hot tea while I have no drinks yet. I wrote down, no onions but the dish came out with onions. The dish is very boring taste... I ordered Vietnamese ice coffee, from the moment my food came and when I stand up paying my bill. The coffee isn't ready yet. Honestly very disappointed.. last time for me..

Reason for Visit: Recommended by a friend in the area to give this a try. Menu: At first, I do note that this place is slightly more pricier than most other Vietnamese places (average price of dish ~$10-$16). The soup was very flavorful, noodles were chewy and tasty. The beef was tender and juicy. Not too salty. Honestly speaking, I thought it was pretty standard. It is definitely enjoyable, but may be a bit over hyped. Service: Very quick service. Efficient system where customers write down their orders. Atmosphere: Small store. Very neat and clean. Lots of windows, and space for parking. Overall: Definitely not a bad place to drop by if you in the area craving some Viet food, but I wouldn't travel too far to come here.

Noodle soup in these hot days say what??? I can't help it and trust me, Vietnamese noodle soup doesn't always mean Pho. Pho is our national dish, but we have more than just that. Have you ever tried those noodle soup from the middle of Vietnam, originally from the South, or from the North? Pho Vaughan offers a variety of Northern-style Vietnamese cuisines. And they have this sour noodle soup (that I like) that can refresh yourself and help you cleanse the system with all those herbs and vegetables. I always here for their Vietnamese fish cake, fried fish and fried pork in betel leaves noodle soup. Yum!!! Also, I always order shredded pork skin salad rolls, with fish sauce on the side. The broth is clear, tasty and sour enough for someone who dislike sour food like me. It isn't as sour as Thai tomyum and it's not spicy. The soup comes with lots of thin pieces of fish cakes in the soup, vegetables, fried fish and 2 pieces of pork in betel leaves on the side (my favourite). The portion size are huge! Why do I love shredded pork skin salad rolls here? Because they make it almost close to those I had back home. Their salary rolls are big, however their fish sauce isn't tasty enough. I think they adjust the sauce so everyone can have it. (You know how strong the fish sauce can smell). (And Karla, stop thinking for yourself:P) They make the food from North of Vietnam the right way. From the Pho, salad rolls (northern types), and those sour noodle soup. The restaurant is small, but clean and neat. You won't feel suffocated in here and the smell of food makes you feel even hungrier. The staffs here are nice and very friendly. They are quick as well. As soon as you sit down, there will be pot of tea right on the table for you. And you can ask them for iced water if you don't want the hot tea. Like I said, the portion size is pretty decent so price here is reasonable. You may bump into me here, who knows? :)

Dropped by Pho Vaughan for a late lunch on a weekday.. I was surprised that to find it was not the usual Pho's crowd I usually encountered. I were sandwiched in between teenagers.. swearing, gossipping while eating their lunch.. more like a high school cafeteria feel. The Pho I have is A-OK. Though the noodle is dried noodle but it was well cooked. The broth has a good taste of anise and deliciously salty! Service here is fast and efficient... In and out quickly after I stuffed my face with Pho.

It seems Kris U and Amy Z of Yelp share a love for Pho, authentic delicious, cheap, filling, satisfying pho. so anytime I find a place they've been to I have to go because I'm sure it's going to be good. This place is located up Jane st across the maple auto mall. the plaza it's in has very little available parking as there are so many businesses but be persistent and it's worth waiting to try to find a spot. The Pho is cooked authentically and deliciously. Clear broth with great flavour and no MSG. Lots of volume and quantity and I swear, if I was craving Pho in the area near the mall, I'm hiking it the extra few minutes to this spot because I know i'll get tremendous value for my money and something that is guaranteed to be delcious. If parking wasn't terrible, I'd say this is the place you have to come, but for where this is, whether you're buying a car, near the mall, getting your hair done next door, please do consider coming here. The staff do a great job of really bringing everything out fast, and doing everything you'd expect. So thank you Kris U and Amy Z, you two always tend to hit home runs in finding Pho places and this one is no exception.

This short and spicy review is for the Bun Bo Hue only, I am on a quest to find good Bun Bo Hue (BBH), that is a more spicy pho. The broth of a BBH has to be a star or the BBH is nothing. Many places dumb down the broth, so it is hard to find a good BBH. The BBH broth at Pho Vaughan was quite spicy, probably the second most spicy BBH broth I have ever had in GTA. Yet the beef flavour came through. The noodle was fresh and well portioned. The quantity of the protein was okay.

We were in the area getting our hair cuts and was told by our hair dresser to come here for authentic north Vietnamese food like bun cha ga. Ever since I had bun cha ga in Vancouver, I have been searching for a good northern Vietnamese restaurant in Toronto and the search will continue... It's not that the bun cha ga wasn't good, it was decent. Two reason why it was pile compare to the bun cha ga I had in Van. Firstly, the broth was a bit sour for my taste and secondly, the fish cake/pattie was super thin and there wasn't much in the bowl, We also order the giant spring roll which came highly recommended. It was definitely something different as one roll was almost the size of my forearm! It takes 15 mins to prepare as it's wrap fresh when the order is placed. Unlike regular spring rolls which comprise of minced pork, there were actually chunks of pork and shrimp inside along bean sprouts, vermicelli and other veggies. Also unlike the usual, the wrapper is rice paper so it was extra crunchy.

Haven't reviewed anywhere in Vaughan in awhile so this is perfect spots to get back into it with. We were on the hunt for fresh Pho on Saturday and after a quick scan of the limited reviews in Vaughan we decided that Pho Vaughan had the most reviews and highest rating and set the GPS for it. It's located in the strip mall/condo combo plaza across from Canada's Wonderland and parking is 1 row so at peak hours it is TIGHT. There is no turn around at the end of the row in either direction so if you don't find parking you're forced to do a 3 point turn to go back in the other direction. This isn't a strike against Pho Vaughan, just one for the plaza and a heads up to folks who might visit. As soon as I entered, I knew the reviews had led us in the right direction. Time at Yelp has taught me that if you go for ethnic food and see more people not of that ethnicity than of it, you should beware. If you see lots of people of that ethnicity of close to it, you can trust it. This spot was right one the money. Like most Pho, the prices were cheap ($8.50 for a LARGE) and the service was quiet but efficient and quick. The difference was the broth, very very clean, with no lasting effects of other places where it's rife with things like MSG (you can always tell because 1-3 hours later your fingers swell and you get the driest cotton mouth you've ever had. I had the 116 combo (might not be the exact number) but it had rare beef, braised brisket and beef balls - loved it. For two of us to have the same, both large and tea came out tax and tip to $22. Where are you going to eat for that cheap these days. No where! Definitely a solid Pho spot in Vaughan - I'll be back! Eatcrest Out

Instinct tells me that this is a pretty good Vietnamese restaurant after having been here regularly. #26 Bun Cha(Hanoi Pork, $7.50) seems to look pretty authentic from what I can research online. It had 2 Pork Patties and the rest was Pork Fillets grilled and put into Nuoc Cham. On Weekends they have that Weekend Special written in Vietnamese for all those Vietnamese patrons that I only notice here and barely any other ethnicities. From the words from the regular menu, I compiled it to be Duck Pho(#23 Bun Mang Vit) from Duck stock which took some time to arrive but nice to try something outside of the box of what we Canadians seem to think is a limited variety of Vietnamese choices. *Duck and Bamboo Vermicelli Noodle Soup* Pho Vaughan is now officially upgraded to 4 *Star* Sorry Gentlemen, I believe both the waitresses are already taken.

Not bad overall. Had the special pho. The broth was salty and a bit greasy but had good flavour( my girlfriend's was more fragrant and less salty, I think I got the last bit of a pot). The overall quantity was pretty good. There are only S,M, and Large($9.75) sizes available. There could have been more meat but the cuts were pretty good quality and not fatty. The veggie dish did not have culantro which made me a bit sahd. And the place was missing my fav condiment, pickled peppers. The condensed milk ice coffee came in a plastic cup, tasted good and nice and thick, 3$. Overall 6.5-7/10!

Tips: - This place takes debit and cash only…read more - The hot tea is scorching hot. A couple of Wednesdays ago, after work, I had an early dinner at this Pho Anh Vu on Highway 7 in Vaughan, between Keele and Jane streets. I have passed by this eatery a number of times since it opened. It was time to check it out. This location used to be Veg Italiano. There used to be a pho place a few doors down. It is now a Turkish eatery. This small plaza does have some turnover. However, the Turkish place and this eatery have been here for at least a couple of years. I hope they remain. I got here at around 3:30 pm. I had no problem finding a parking spot. I backed into a vacant one and walked in. I was immediately greeted by a male staffer. I got to sit wherever I wanted. I chose a booth by the window. I got menus to peruse. There were two other tables with customers. It was nice. Hot tea came to me with two cups. The hot tea was exceptionally piping hot. I used both cups to pour tea into them and let them cool. I was ready to order. It took a long time to get a server to come over. The woman at the counter noticed that I was ready and flagged the male server to take my order. I got these items: - Soda lemonade - Grilled chicken on vermicelli with spring rolls My soda lemonade came first. It was fizzy, cold, and refreshing. I loved it so much. I would get it again in a heartbeat. It also helped me down my food as I waited for my hot tea to cool down. When my tea was finally at a temperature that wouldn't scorch my tongue, it was fragrant and yummy. I loved the grilled chicken. It was flavourful and grilled to perfection. The vermicelli was generous and yummy. The spring rolls were stuffed and crispy. This dish came with dipping sauce that I ended up pouring on everything. I feel that I needed more of it. I paid at the counter with a debit card. I tapped and was good. This eatery got busy after 4 pm. My guess is that everyone came to watch the Canada-Switzerland FIFA game. It got tense in the place. Eventually, Canada lost this game. I used the washroom before I left. It was beautiful and clean. It's a decent location that serves good food. The tea was too hot. Service started off slow, but was a lot better once my order was place. I'd love to return to try more items off the menu. (280)

Ever since I discovered the spicy Curry Brisket Pho ($20.95), it has always been my go-to dish here all year-round. We always order Pho Nam (XL $21.50) as well and both come loaded with a heaping portion of brisket slices in the piping hot noodle soup. From time-to-time, we also add the Banh Xeo savoury egg pancake which arrives on a huge plate even larger than the noodle bowls. Presented with a heap of greens & herbs, the crispy golden crepe is light and filled with bits of shrimp, pork, onions & bean sprouts. This is wrapped with the lettuce leaf for crunchy and refreshing bites. The menu prices have slowly but steadily increased over the past couple of years. There is still cash discount available. Not much has changed with the decor over the years in this spacious but dated restaurant interior. Service is always kind, fast and kid-friendly which is nice for young families. Skip it or hit it? Best to go on weekdays to get a better chance for seating. Recently tried a couple new items on their off menu including the curry beef noodle (fried egg noodles on top), these crispy triangle shaped rolls (forgot the name) maybe pork and crap roll? Then followed up with something I've gotten before the dry chicken pho noodle salad. The curry beef with the crispy egg noodles reminds me of khao soi though there is less of a coconut flavour and more salty and savoury. I don't usually have curry Vietnamese style so I didn't know what to expect. But we found it a little too salty and also I personally prefer my curry a little sweeter like Japanese or coconut-ish like Thai or HK style curries. It's good, just not to our palate. It's a generous portion so we took it home and actually used the remaining curry broth to make a tasty stew with other ingredients and a touch of marinara sauce and it turned out really tasty! The crispy triangles rolls we had were fantastic and I like the side of fresh greens with it. Dry chicken pho noodle salad is always good. I like that they provide the broth of beef balls on the side so you can always enjoy it with the broth if you like. I think the extra broth with beef balls only happens for dine-in though because I have taken out that same dish before and I don't remember them including the extra broth on the side. The other time we also tried their shaking beef (comes with a fried egg on top) with rice and ordered the tapioca seafood and pork noodle soup - look through my later photos for reference. I don't think we'll order the shaking beef again but the tapioca noodle soup would be in rotation. Love that they are always experimenting with different dishes and I'm always excited to try something new here from their off-menu dishes.
