Combination Pho

The pho was really delicious and the papaya salad was good too! Our server was super nice and gave great service. I'll definitely be back!

I was in the mood for some pho and decided to give Basilic a try. I ordered my food to-go so I didn't take any pictures of the food once I got home, however, the food was amazing and I would definitely go back. Food & Drinks: 9/10 I had the beef pho and the shrimp spring rolls. The beef broth is so tasty and flavorful. This was my first time trying spring rolls and they did not disappoint. I got the spring rolls with the Vietnamese sauce and it was amazing. I also tried one of their bubble/boba teas and that was also tasty. The pearls at the bottom of the bubble tea were great. Service: 10/10 The server who took my order was very sweet and patient. She ensured my order was correct and added extra veggies and sauces for my pho. Their customer service is genuine and the other servers were also attentive and helpful while I waited for my food. Ambiance: 8/10 It's a chill and comfy restaurant. The decor is simple but eye-catching. It's very clean and well-kept. Overall, I had a great experience even though I did not dine in. Can't wait to check it out again.

Salty with a weird smell..must be old soup that they heated up.

Really disappointed with my visit to Basilic Vietnamese Grill. I had high hopes, especially with the higher prices--I expected fresh, flavorful food, but it just wasn't there. The pho was bland and oily, and the meat was tough. It didn't have that comforting, rich taste you look for in a good bowl of pho. Honestly, it felt rushed and low effort. They also added a ridiculous service charge without mentioning it upfront, which was super frustrating. For what I paid, the quality just didn't match at all. Don't believe the other 4 or 5 star review this place is not it. Save your money and go somewhere else. ***1 star for the decor*** nothing else special

A spot that serves up vino right to the cusp of last call is A-Ok by me! I met up with my friend Cecilia for dinner here before her flight since it's close to work. Since it was a weekday, they closed at 9, and here I was working until just past 7. Located in a strip mall on Biscayne next to another favorite restaurant, there's a generous amount of parking. Besides, the extra on the wine our waiter was helpful in recommending dishes and being attentive to food allergies. Oh, and yes my glass was a moscato. I do want to check out some of their sakes sometime! I enjoyed their chicken curry. A creamy stew with a generous helping of chicken breast pieces, the sweet potatoes & coconut sauce mixed in with the heat of the curry gave it a spicy balance that made my taste buds happy. The white rice had just the right amount of stickiness. Definitely a great new spot for a casual bite and chat!

Combination Vermicelli Noodle Bowl

We were very satisfied with our meal at Basilic. The iced Viet coffee is a staple if you haven't tried it; robust yet sweet. The crispy egg noodle had a delicious sauce soaking the mixed vegetables. The vermicelli combination bowl had flavorful pork, crispy eggroll, and cilantro on top of carrots, radishes, and bean sprouts. I'd say for the price I'd expect more of both the pork and eggrolls. Overall though, service was quick and the interiors are done very thoughtfully. The owner and chef are both Vietnamese. A relative painted the three women in hats gracing the hallway.

We got in around lunch time and were seated right away. We aren't from this area, but it wasn't hard at all to find it. There were plenty of parking. I felt that it was an average pho spot. The pho here wasn't bad and the tech time wasn't bad, either. My pho came with the garnishments that pho usually comes with so I was happy to get that. The restaurant was nice and clean and the staff was pretty friendly.

Friendly staff! It's taste is okay for when you crave Vietnamese and don't want to drive to Davie. Convenient location.

My husband and I were looking for a place to satisfy our pho cravings and we decided to give Basilic a shot since we were in the area! Basilic is located in a shopping center near Total Wine with plenty of parking. The interior was very well decorated and had a fully stocked bar. My husband ordered a combination pho and added tripe and since they didn't have seafood pho, I ordered another seafood soup option on the menu. The serving size is very generous! I would say it is a medium size compared to the places I've been to that offer small, medium, large. My partner enjoyed his pho, although they forgot his tripe at first. He still enjoyed it. My soup was a little sweeter than I was used to but I really loved the wontons that were included in mine, so savory! The restaurant was pretty busy on a Sunday afternoon and they had a lot of regulars which is always a good sign!

What a great find "off the beaten path"! We loved our quick lunch at this very popular Vietnamese place. The portions were large (we shared a pho), and the service was prompt.

We came to this place because a friend recommended it. As we entered, we were quickly greeted and were offered our choice of seats. We looked over the menu, and I was expressed with the selection. We ordered the spring rolls, she ordered the beef vermicelli, and I dered the beef noodle bowl. I was delighted with my selection. It was tasty and had plenty of everything I liked in my noodle bowl. I really like the veggies, cilantro, and basil that are served with the noodle bowl on the side. The broth was good and not overpowering. The service was great. Tony was our waiter, and he was pleasant and very professional. Kudos to Tony. I would definitely recommend this establishment.

We ordered some sodas, spring rolls, beef pho, and combination pho. The beef/shrimp spring rolls were delicious; they come with a tasty peanut sauce and bright pickled veggies. The pho broth is warm and spiced beautifully, probably the best I've had in a long time. It's a pretty large portion as well, with lots of meat. I had to take my pho leftovers to go! The service was also really welcoming from start to finish. Our server Debbie was friendly and so attentive. She made sure we had fresh sodas to go and topped off my pho leftovers with more fresh broth before we left. The rest of the team was also on top of it, making sure our table was cleared of empty plates and topping off our waters. Not too difficult to find a spot in the busy Total Wine plaza, depending on the time of day. The space itself is bright, clean, and open. A really lovely spot for good food. Will definitely be back, for both the food and service. Great spot to have in the neighborhood. Thanks again, Debbie!

And I feel like I have to say this: some of these reviews are clearly linked to exposure. The pho here was FINE. Solid 3. The service? Not good at all. The woman who cooks/runs this place was all over the place. There was nothing kind, grateful, or warm about her as she took orders and prepared food. Her husband was nice but the lack of attentive service from her was not cool. She was very tuned in to the other couple dining but I called her several times (in that tiny space) and she seemed to not hear me. I also have to say that the size of their homemade teas is super generous. However, while I was there, two tables, including mine, were served Thai Iced Teas with sour milk. When I finally got the owner's attention, she frowned when I told her and said, "I just served that." And then went to the other table to double-check as if my words wouldn't quite do it. lol The other table confirmed it was sour. The owner took the cups, no apology or nothing, and asked us if we wanted it remade. I asked for a coke instead. A bottle was $5... five whole dollars. Egg rolls: okay. Def a bit bland.. Served with some weird ketchupy sweet/sour sauce. I asked for fish sauce, which was good. Paid about $36 for pho, egg rolls, and a drink. If this is your only pho option in the area, go for it, but i was not impressed especially once my stomach processed the sour milk.

I found out about this spot from New York Times list of the top 25 restaurants in Miami and I was not disappointed. The food came out fresh, hot, and packed with FLAVOR. The service was friendly and attentive. The restaurant had a nice cozy, homey vibe. The restaurant opens at 4:00 p.m., so there are no lunch specials. We arrived just a few minutes after opening and had our pick of seating. The dining room is on the smaller side, and given its high ratings, I'd recommend arriving early. Not long after we were seated, the tables started filling up quickly. Our server was friendly, attentive, and offered several excellent personal recommendations. To start, we ordered the vegetable spring rolls, which were delicious and came with five generously sized rolls. For my entrée, I chose the chicken Pad Thai. When I asked about adding spice, our server suggested ordering it on the side, which turned out to be the perfect recommendation. The Pad Thai arrived promptly and was absolutely delicious, and being able to adjust the spice level to my liking made the dish even better. My partner ordered the red curry, which arrived piping hot and was thoroughly enjoyed. Before leaving, we ordered the crab fried rice to go, and it was packed with noticeable chunks of crab. One thing worth mentioning is that the portions are very generous--large enough to share in many cases. Other than the somewhat challenging parking situation, I have no complaints. The food, service, and overall experience were excellent, and I look forward to returning whenever I'm back in the area.

I walked in and it's a nicely decorated space comfortable and inviting. I sat in the bank of booths along the wall. I perused the menu and ordered Chicken Noodle Soup, Chicken Lettuce Wrap and Shishito Peppers. Everything for lack of a better word was lackluster! I've had all of these dishes from other places, so I know how they should taste. This food had little to no flavor at all. The soup being the star of my meal was weak and disappointing. Those flavors you expect from "Wanton Soups" were not there. I really like Shishito Peppers and order them every time I see them on a menu. And every one does a little something different to make theirs stand out. But these peppers were just there. They came with Bonito Flakes but it didn't help. The Lettuce Wrap was just as disappointing as the other items. The strangest part of my experience was when I requested some Sambal in a effort to give that Chicken Lettuce Wrap some flavor and a little boost. The waiter said "we don't have that", I replied "really?". He said "yes, this is not an Indian Restaurant, it's Asian" (insert raised eyebrow emoji). I guess it's my fault for going to this place.
