Some of the flavors are more traditional like mint n chip, cookie dough, chocolate brownie, etc. They also have other flavors that they have made themselves like It's A Goody. It was hard to know what was in the ice cream because the sign only says the name and doesn't give a description of the flavor. A description would be very helpful as a customer. I asked the young man working what was in the cappuccino ice cream because it looked like some type of nut and he didn't know. We decided to grab a single scoop of the chocolate brownie. This flavor was delicious and perfect for a chocolate lover. I would get this one again. We also got It's A Goody which was vanilla ice cream with chocolate chunks and peanut butter chunks in it. We also ordered the cinnamon one, but we were not given the cinnamon one, we were given the banana pudding one. Thankfully we really liked the banana pudding one because that's not the one we asked for. I think there's some room for improvement at Coaches but I still enjoyed the ice cream.

I know this is a very sleepy town, but c'mon, prime Saturday afternoon in the summer and we're the only ones in the place? There were some unique ice cream flavors, but there was something off with the toppings. Everyone in our party got a sundae, and chose something different for our toppings. Unfortunately those of us with a nut based topping had a rancid nut oil taste, maybe a function of being in these little drawers at the counter for God knows how long. The cherry on top was that there is a street fighter arcade game there that said 100 Yen on the coin slot. I asked the kid working if it was set up to take quarters, or was just for show, and he said yeah, you can put quarters in, and then it promptly stole my kids quarter and the kid behind the counter wouldn't replace it. I've been here a few times and am long overdue to leave them a review. Everything about the spot is exceptional, from the cleanliness of the shop, to the stellar customer service and of course this is some of the best gelato I've had in the area. Kudos to Gabby, who helped me out today - she was absolutely lovely and attentive. But overall the staff have always been great here and aim to please. They are also very mindful to ask about allergies before you sample their gelato, which I'm sure a lot of people appreciate. As I mention above, the shop is super clean and cute. If you've been to Europe, it's totally giving that classic gelato café in Italy vibe. It's cozy and I like to dine in to enjoy my sweet treat. Great decor, it's evident a lot of thought and care came into designing the space. The gelato is exceptional and A+. A little pricey, but I think everywhere is nowadays. My son has a nut allergy, and when we asked for guidance on safe options, the associate helping us -- Molly -- was dismissive and short with us. Rather than walking us through the allergy protocols with any care, she seemed irritated to be asked and spoke to us like we were an inconvenience. For a family managing a real food allergy, that kind of response is more than unwelcoming -- it's concerning, because it made us doubt whether the staff take cross-contamination and allergy safety seriously. I tried to get another employee's attention to flag what was happening, but wasn't able to. When I went back to Molly directly and told her I didn't appreciate how we'd been treated, her response was dismissive rather than an attempt to make things right. She started arguing with me. Finally another associate asked to go outside and talk. She apologized for Molly's behavior and said they had many complains. Wow why is she still there?

As a result, Dear Hubby and I haven't been close by to Little Calf to remember to stop in for quite a while. Recently, though, after a nearby medical appointment I felt like some non-dairy ice cream. It was a Saturday in the mid-afternoon, and they weren't very crowded, which worked out great for us. They always have at least four options for frozen "ice cream" without the cows' milk dairy. Having just been through an MRI test, I decided to treat myself to a small sundae. Hadn't had one in ages! Their hot fudge is outstanding! Just the hit of chocolately goodness I was craving. I paired it with lemon sorbet. It was a wonderful combination of sweet and tart. It was warm enough to sit out on their side patio and just relax for a while. I remarked to DH that I miss all the plants that the previous business owner had kept out on the patio for atmosphere. The current iteration is clean, but on the boring side. We love their food, so I'm overlooking the lack of ambiance for now. That being said, DH and I have been discussing recently how much we miss the kinds of places that used to have great style in their decor. Theme restaurants are more rare these days than they ought to be. I'm sorry for our kids and grandkids that they don't get to experience more of those kinds of visually interesting kinds of places without having to go to a theme park. They got a variety of ice creams, some common ones but also some new ones. This is the first place I ever had a chance to try the espresso ice cream, which is ice cream with a shot of espresso, and it was delicious, especially as a coffee lover and ice cream lover. Kids devoured all their ice cream, which is rare for them to do. They also serve food here, which we did not get to try but is good to know is an option. They have tables everywhere and a fountain machine and some unique teas I got to try, like their lavender tea! This was beautiful and so amazing. I can't wait to come back and grab another ice cream espresso from here and maybe try one of their sandwiches. Yum!

Located in a strip mall near Trader Joe's at Westlake, this small gelato store offers diverse flavors and wonderful services. Parking is ample in front of the store. When we walked in, the store owners greeted us warmly and served us multiple samples. I got the two flavor gelato with chocolate and earl grey tea flavors. My husband got the saffron flavor gelato and he loved it. We loved all the unexpected flavors they had and would definitely return to try the rest. The cost for two people was around $13, which was a steal with the quality and services. The ambiance of the store felt intimate and warm, and it was a great way to end a wonderful dare night.
