Delicious Gelato and warm services! We visited this cute little mom and pop gelato store several weeks ago and we're blown away by the offerings and services. Located in a strip mall near Trader Joe's at Westlake, this small gelato store offers diverse flavors and wonderful services. Parking is ample in front of the store. When we walked in, the store owners greeted us warmly and served us multiple samples. I got the two flavor gelato with chocolate and earl grey tea flavors. My husband got the saffron flavor gelato and he loved it. We loved all the unexpected flavors they had and would definitely return to try the rest. The cost for two people was around $13, which was a steal with the quality and services. The ambiance of the store felt intimate and warm, and it was a great way to end a wonderful dare night. This is an adorable shop with super friendly staff. They were very welcoming and provided samples. While the selection in the freezer case does not seem big, they have an additional flavors menu with numerous interesting flavors! I tried the spumoni and the cherry almond flavors. Love the Gelato Boutique. If you know where Trader Joe's is along Thousand Oaks Blvd, then it will give you reason to shop everyday and get a scoop. Beautiful decor owned by lovely couple, they have a modest amount of flavors of gelato and sorbet, but many more flavors in the back that are featured on a board. Taiyaki is delicious. The sweetness of the custard isn't overwhelming. It's actual a very good taiyako. But,... yes.. it's on a smaller size, a skinny flat taiyaki and filling is very little too. Stumbled upon GELATO BOUTIQUE in Thousand Oaks, after my little shopping spree at Daiso next door. The charming cherry blossom interior caught my eye through the glass door. Then it dawned on me that this is the gelato shop that the community was raving about on the Nextdoor app! I decided on the Saffron flavor, which is considered a Persian ice cream. I mentioned to the nice young lady who was helping me, that someone was raving about this gelato shop on Nextdoor. A few moments later, a kind woman appeared from the back (who I believe was the owner), was thoughtful enough to introduce me to "Faloodeh." It is also a frozen treat made with semi-frozen vermicelli rice noodles. Normally, only Persian customers request this, so it was not on the menu or on display. Wow! I felt really special in this moment because she took the time to introduce me to her culture. So, as you can see, my cup included one scoop each of Saffron & Faloodeh, which was then topped off with a drizzle of lime juice. It was phenomenal! Not your typical sweet treat, but a refined flavor and texture combination for mature tastebuds and I loved every bite!! This is especially a great dessert for those trying to keep their waistline slim and trim! ;-) I am looking forward to returning with a +1, to share this gelato gem with, and to try the Cucumber flavor + Saffron + Faloodeh! It's so rare in this day and age to come across a young adult to be so genuinely kind. He provided outstanding customer service! Bravo to his parents for raising such a gentleman. Now onto the gelato! I chose the Dubai Chocolate Gelato which is my absolute favorite combination. WOW! Probably the best scoop I've ever had! Located next to Daiso, is this quaint gelato shop. I tried their saffron & cucumber. Saffron had a light, but rich~more ice cream texture, and the cucumber was more towards sorbet type of refreshing taste and texture. I found out they're both ice cream though. They also do offer variety of ice cream, gelato, and sorbets. I thought two scoops would be too much for me, but I gobbled it up quickly in my car. lol! They both have unique flavors, not too sweet, delicious, and price is quite lower than other gelato places in Westlake. Loved! read more

Stopped by tonight after dinner for a sweet treat. So glad that we did. First off, they have many unusual, dare I say exotic, flavors. Saffron. Purple Yam. Cucumber. And they are happy to give you samples. Being more the traditionalist, I got Maple Butter Pecan and Strawberry Cheesecake. I skipped the free toppings offered. I'm not even much of an ice cream or gelato person, but I have to say the two that I chose were delicious. So flavorful. My wife got coffee and the cucumber. She really liked the cucumber and how refreshing it was. We were served by the owner. He and his younger employee were both very friendly and courteous. Two small cups (2 scoops in each cup) was $9.00 plus a 27 cent service fee. I'm not sure what the service fee is for, but it's a rounding error and if it helps with running this little shop I'm ok paying it. I have to add that this little place (one table inside and some shared tables outside) is decorated much like my Aunt Eileen's kitchen was in the late 1970s and early 80s. Came here for the tayaki fish filled with Nutella, and the gelato was delicious. Super flavorful and creamy, and such a great consistency that no other gelato nearby has. The place was so cute, and there was some seating inside. The man running it was super nice and friendly, and we got to take many samples. The first time I came, they gave us free Dubai chocolate ice cream, which was so good!! The ube was also delicious and might be my favorite flavor. This place is cute! I give it a thumbs up for the decor. The service was very welcoming. The reason I'm giving this a one is to be careful. I had the strawberry cheesecake and the next morning had the runs bad! It couldn't have been anything else I ate, and I'm not sick otherwise. No lunch that day and I had the same food for dinner as my husband made at home. He did not have any of the gellato and he's fine.
