Birthday cake debacle! Picked up cake after Sunday B-Day lunch on the way home to awaiting guests. Upon arriving home, opened cake and realized it had major issues. They will only refund the image fee, as being w/o options at that point, we ate the cake. Event cakes are ALL about the presentation. They had my number on the order and several days between it's making to communicate issues and resolve before pickup. Update - After my case w/BR Customer Care was escalated, I got a call from owner and received a partial refund (the image fee plus gratuity I'd prepaid). She also extended me 30% off my next cake. I appreciate the effort, but it will be hard to extend trust. read more

I went to visit the BR location in Thousand Oaks on 8/5 and ordered a medium original cappuccino blast with whip cream and cinnamon and was charged $8.98 and previously in other locations have paid $7.49. I called to confirm the price as I thought they erroneously charged me for a large and the manager tells me the price is actually $9.98 for a medium size, and she was going to have a talk with staff as they are new. What a rip off!!! I know they are franchised, but that doesn't mean you can charge whatever you want....it's ice cream! I would not recommend this location when you can go to another BR for the same exact drink for a lot less money. read more

Great business and great service! We go to this B&R often because the employees are so kind, although my expanding waistline is telling me I better cut down on our visits. Saw the review from Chris W. I was sitting in the corner the night they were there, waiting for my husband to get our ice cream. The customer two ahead of them asked about the discount and this duo heard the employee state that the app was needed for the discount. The woman in the duo turned to her guy friend and said "oh you need the app". I said " download the app real fast" as we caught each other's eyes. I guess they didn't want to get out of line because they paid for their ice cream, went out and came back in stating they forgot to show the app that they had. They knew about the app and lied about forgetting. Then she tried to get a refund but it's clearly displayed that there are no refunds. The guy also came back in to argue the point more. When the woman came in I offered to pay for their ice cream (I would have given her $10 since they already paid). Someone paid for our ice cream when we were in the same B&R a few months ago (thank you again to that very kind gentleman!) so I wanted to "pay it forward". She declined and said she wished she could get her tip back. The sign at the register does show a QR code picture in the 31st discount display and even a senior citizen like me knows that means you need to download something, but to be fair, maybe B&R needed to actually state that instead of just having a picture of a QR. This duo definitely knew about the QR code. I saw & heard the woman say to the man that the app was needed before they reached their turn. I also saw & heard the employee stating the app was needed and did not see a sour face as the app message was being delivered. I rarely write a yelp review but I dislike dishonest people and could not let this couple be so untruthful. She said she was going to post a negative review in yelp so that's the only reason I looked and she actually did. We are in our 70s & 80s and this was a young duo in their 30s. I have been a patron of this restaurant since it opened its doors and go there with my wife and fiends at least 2 x a month. In the first year it was great, then it started going downhill and not sure why as initially the owners really seemed devoted to providing a great product and service. I have let my growing concerns slide because they were so good once upon a time. But tonight was the last straw and I am no longer a customer, nor will anybody I know be. I ordered through DoorDash tonight, and for the 3rd time in a row they got the order wrong. When I say wrong, I mean some of what I ordered was missing, and what was left was stuff I didn't order. My first call was to the DoorDash driver, who told me it wasn't his fault, call the store. I get it. So I call the store, and they tell me it's no big deal, just request a refund from DoorDash. Completely missed the point. I don't care about a refund. I have people at my house who were excited to have ice cream. I asked what they could do to fix the problem and they again told me just ask for a refund. They (the workers at Baskin Robbins) don't care. And honestly, it's management's fault. They should have a policy of taking care of their customers and the workers should have the training and ability to do just that. The simple and proper solution would have been for Baskin Robbins to have my correct order delivered, via another DoorDash or other delivery driver. That's good business and they would have kept a customer (and several others). They don't care. When I suggested this to the girl on the phone she replied "we can't do that because then we would lose money". Well, you just lost a lot more money than what it would have cost to deliver my order. You lost at least 5 customers that frequented your shop on a regular basis. read more

Can't go wrong with ice cream for lunch...especially from Baskin Robbins! My all time favorite is the Pineapple Coconut...and here it is an oh so creamy scoop of heaven in your mouth. This Thousand Oaks location is great...clean and friendly staff, what more could you ask for? Most places the buckets of ice cream look gross or freezer burned but not here! This is my first review. This was the absolute worst experience I have ever had. I went on the 31st because of the 31% promotion. I got to the store, ordered my ice cream and paid. First, the young woman not once smiled. i seemed to be a burden even though I went above and beyond to be polite. My daughter works in an ice cream store in Long Beach. I get it. After she rang me up, and I paid (including a tip because of my kid) I realized I didn't get the discount. I asked and she said I needed the app. I have the app. I pulled it up but she said it was too late. I asked to return the ice cream. she said she doesn't accept returns. I asked for her name and she walked away. I called when I got home and they had turned their phone off so no one could get through. While I was trying to speak to the woman, another gentleman was checking out. they gave him the total and he had sense enough to say that didn't sound right. he didn't have the app so he left. I have been a part of this community for many many years and I play a large part in this community. I will simy from the rooftops to never frequent this shop, EVER! As I was driving to dinner tonight, I pointed out the new Baskin Robbins to my wife and we decided we would stop their after we ate. This location is very small, but the neon lighting is very noticeable as you drive down Thousand Oaks Blvd. that you can't miss it (at least once the neon lights come on at night). It's on the East side of the Blvd. (the same side as 24 hour fitness in the next strip mall plaza over). Of course we had to get a kid size single scoop of their mint n chip and I had the kid size single scoop of their pink bubble gum ice cream. (My wife stayed in the car, apparently a grown man ordering pink bubble gum ice cream for himself is down right embarrassing). Haha! The 2 young high school aged kids behind the counter were nice, It's refreshing to see youth in the workplace making their own money. This is the 8,000 Baskin Robbins location..Very very impressive! I ordered a cake online and paid in advance and when I tried to pick it up from this location, the cake looked horrible and nothing like the online picture. I ordered the ice cream sandwich cake, and the ice cream sandwiches they put on top did not look like the ones on the website. When I asked the guy working there to add a Chocolate mint ice cream sandwich so it look more like the one in the picture. He gave me a very hard time, was rude and not helpful, at one point said that he would add it and then changed his mind and said he wouldn't. When I threatened to leave a negative yelp review he did the most shocking thing ever, he refused to give me the cake that I had paid in full for!!!! yes refused to hand it over !!! I guess he got pissed off that I threatened to leave a negative review and decided to spite me!!! I literally called the police and they came out and spoke to him and he still refused to give me the cake so he almost ruined my daughter's 10th birthday party. I like this BR location. Parking can be a pain during peak hours but since GrabbaGreen moved it's been better. Staff is always polite and they have at least two people to help so lines aren't an issue. They haven't served any refrozen ice cream which is a huge deal to me. Prices are fine, everything is more expensive than it used to be but this business owner is just trusting to make it and I'm happy to support. read more

I stopped in with my grandson not too long ago and all the front lights were off I thought they were closed there was napkin trash by the register when you walk in this place used to be so welcoming and pretty now it's just accumulating dirt & dust not to mention the AC is never on they said the lights are off to prevent more heat.
